    **DISCLAIMER**
These lessons are based from the Minna No Nihongo Textbook (1st edition), which I chose because I’m familiar with it. But even if you don’t have the textbook, you can still follow along the lessons by just watching the video.
I'm not a native Japanese speaker nor am I a Japanese language teacher. I'm currently living in Japan and I use Japanese at work and daily life. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from my language school and through self-study. I’ve passed the JLPT N3 exam and am planning to take the JLPT N2 test in the future. So if you find any mistakes, feel free to let know so that we can all learn together. Thank you!

I cannot find the links for first edition, but I found the links for the latest edition of the textbooks which are pretty much the same as the first edition:

You are amazing! I have been waiting for this for yeeeeears. I desperately needed a MのN refresher course as I recently started my preparation for N2 but some of the basics have gone straight out the window as I rarely get to practice especially the formal lingo. All other courses use Genki or weird conversational methods and I just really don't like them. I love this book, and I love what you done for us here! Thanks a lot!

In English, it's incorrect to just ask "How many times do you (eat/watch TV/whatever)?" The correct question is "How often do you (eat/watch TV/whatever)?" If we want to ask "How many times do you..." then we need to specify a time frame. Ex. "How many times do you eat fast food PER WEEK/MONTH/etc?" I'm sure this is what you meant (how often) but since it was used incorrectly multiple times I just wanted to point it out for those who may not be as famliar with English. Thank you for your videos -- I'm using them every day with my Japanese studies. Domo arigatou gozaimasu!

the Minna no Nihongo handbook says in this section that, the quantifier usually precedes the verb it modifies. However, it states, that that is not always the case with lengths of time. Funnily enough in the above examples, 3 of the sentences follow this principle (where they directly precede the verb), and only the first sentence follows the formula provided here.

      @NihonGoal  6 років тому +9

      Hello!
      と can mean AND or WITH E.g. A と B (A and B) / A と (with A)
      が is identifier particle E.g. A が います (A is here)
      に can be time/place particle AT/IN E.g. 1じ にきます (I'll come AT 1:00) ここにあります (It's IN here.)
の particle to show possession E.g. わたしのほん (my book)
を particle to indicate the direct object of the verb E.g. ケーキをたべます (eat cake) "cake" is the object of the verb "to eat"
      Hope this helps 🙂

Great videos to study from, but in lesson 11-1.4 Grammar the kanji for Oosaka is wrong. It is 大坂 but should be 大阪。Would be great if the videos contained all the kanji together with the lessons here, not just separately with your other playlist, which is also great! Thank you for all your effort.

technically 大坂 and 大阪 are the same because 大坂 is just the older version of 大阪. They made this kind of change because most people got confused with reading 大坂 as 大士反. So in reality both are still considered even until now; however, 大阪 is more commonly used.

Actually on how to use and to place the particles. :)) there are several sentences ata na no need for the particles to be added.

Well actually pede naman mag iba iba ng order ung parts ng Japanese sentence basta ung particle nakadikit dun sa tamang word. For example (nihongo o sankagetsu benkyoushimasu) Same lang sya ng (sankagetsu nihongo o benkyoushimasu)
So far ang most basic particles na napagaralan natin are..
      TOPIC は
      OBJECT を
      PLACE で/に/へ
      TIME に
      SUBJECT が
At marami pang iba...hihi..Pero tama yan balik balikan mo hanggang ma master mo na. Gambatte 😉
