I worked for 3 years on an assembly line at Honda. We would switch between 3 separate models on a daily basis on the same line, sedans/coupes and 2 SUV models, with tons of international variants. This can be built. It just needs to be mass produced. No silly aftermarket or Mopar add-on kits. That's what drives up cost, specialized parts and labor. Make a real commitment to the design, and these things will FLY off the lots. Or go after the small or midsize truck market that is SOOO sorely lacking in the US. Seriously, there's pretty much just the Toyota Tacoma and now the Chevy Colorado. Jeep could freakin' dominate this market if they had the will. Seriously, GM is now finally offering a 2l diesel option for the Colorado. Does Jeep not want a piece of that action? Be the Land Rover Defender rival we so desperately want you to be!!!
Best concept yet. They should do a limited run to test the waters and get them in the streets and then see about mass production the following year. I'd love to drive one of these and see them in the dealer ships!
+MasterChris117 Yeah. They would have to charge a lot but I think it would still be a good idea. Kinda like what Lamborghini does but for off road enthusiasts.
Ive never wanted a vehicle to come to market as much as this! You have to make this happen Jeep! People have been asking you for years to bring back the pick-up. And this is perfect to do that with. Theres a huge niche to be filled within the small/medium pick up market... I love the design and the throw-back to the kaiser/gladiator. A 6' bed and hard top with that front end and overall design and youll have a huge winner. You wouldnt be able to make them fast enough. Stop teasing us with shit you'll never make!
My Grandpa passed away when I was 7 years old and one of the lasting memories is driving around with him, and then my dad and brother in the Jeep J20 that grandpa purchased in 1987. Grandpa had three J trucks beginning in the 1960s. Very nostalgic look with this concept. I'd trade in my F-150 to own this. Too bad they can't get the price figured out (yet....).
I would buy this Jeep in a heart beat, but jeep decided to make the gladiator! I wish channel would have had both trucks side by side and show us, how both can compete, side by side, corporate needs to do some off road, in both trucks and decide, which is the best!!!! Fast Lane Truck, I wish you would have both trucks and showed us what the difference between the both!!!
Yeah, me too! I usually stick to the coupes or wagons... but this one, especially as a retro-concept of the kaiser, keeps my attention. The funny part is: i just explored this vehicle as the "Kamacho" in GTA V Online...
+Dr. infinite You are welcome and thanks for the kind words. Please keep in mind that we are posting the other Jeep car vids to TFLC: ua-cam.com/users/romanmicagearguy
They've been doing the Gladiator style concepts for a LONG TIME now. They NEED to just PLEASE use the design!!! 2018 Wagoneer! USE IT FIAT FOR THE LOVE OF JEEP!!!!!
I love all the Jeep concepts, something I look forward to every year. THOUGH, I wish Jeep would accept the challenge and make a Jeep with a larger body, a cab that is a standard truck or full SUV width about 81 inches, more rear seat room and larger trunk and MOST IMPORTANTLY a high roof and large windows and windshield with a high seating position like the old Land Rover Discovery, Land Cruisers used in the bush and by explorers. That would be an amazing concept and a great truck.
From what I seen the truck needs: 1, A 1 inch lift front and back. 2, The flairs need to come out 1 - 2 inches with a more open angle on the flair. 3. The front bumper needs to extend out at least two inches for clearance. 4. A hard top for northern environments. Other then that it's a great design.
Very functional truck that will go anywhere. Keeps true to the Jeep tradition. I would buy one but probably not a mainstream vehicle, great for a longer off-road expedition as it has the cargo capacity a Wrangler lacks.

+BAU i don't know i liked the other one to. It would be ok as long as it was the same price range as a renegade. This one would probably be more of in the price range of other Fullsizes, 40k+
I had a 67 jeep truck with this style front end a lift and 33 inch tires and it was a great truck although unrefined with a small 6 and 3 speed manual. slower than a VW bug but would go anywhere.
Love it, hopefully they can make a version of this configuration, 4dr, soft top convertible, short bed for the reported Wrangler JL truck with a small Diesel Engine so that it's just a custom hood & finder mopar kit away from this!
This truck coming into production may just make me switch to Jeep. BY FAR the best looking thing to come out of a Jeep factory in a long time!!! It may MAY just make me hang up my Nissan hat especially since they killed off the Xterra. Again this is a beautiful truck!
if you want a jeep pickup in the here and now go check out AEV( American Expedition Vehicles) Brute Double Cab. AEV works with Jeep. It wouldn't be too much of a leap for FC/Jeep to mass produce the Brute. Because AEV already done the work. In fact if you take a good look at the Crew Chief their is a lot of the Brute in the concept.
I really like the jeep truck I'm sure they could find a way to keep it around 45 50,000 under 60 maybe but it really needs a 5.7 L in it nice job guys.
if I could buy one of these, first thing I would do, is take it to bruiser conversions and put a 4bt in it. also put a smoke stack or 2 in the bed, and if you put a snorkel on it, this monster will be unstoppable!
I hope the new JK based pickup looks more like this concept and not just a Wrangler with a truck bed. This thing would be a serious competitor in the mid-sized truck market if it looks like this.
I'm still waiting. I remember the guy who bought the dodge power wagon concept many years ago for like $ 35,000. PS I don't believe we will see anything good from FCA
Shekhar Moona plus it would be a great trail rig with today's lightweight but powerful diesels you could boondock for weeks maybe even months if you use sparingly because your MPG would be HIGH as hell with that light composite body
I can agree on great trail Rig yes. but if it was to go to MOAB I think it may be limited due to it's length and possible length of overhangs. I do concur with great for boondocking, this is based off of the possibility of not needing to use the tow vehicle to move around as much and the possibility of using ATV/SIDExSIDE instead of tow vehicle that. You could literally tow your RV and place ATV/SIDExSIDE in bed of truck this makes a lot of sense for flat trail or moderate crawling.
Shekhar Moona o hell my 86 F350 crew cab with 8 ft box never has problems off road in the colorado mountains and they are a crap ton or rocky switchbacks you just need to be on oversized tires to make up the differences on the length i run 44's when i'm trailing and i run 31's when in on the road and i use a slid in camper i have never been to MOAB before but it sounds like just one place that you MIGHT have trouble but personally my trail rig is also my DD so i need both form AND function
The Jeep Crew Chief is the best design they EVER came up with!!! I LOVE it! Front and back winch, front and back lockers, looks AMAZING!! They damn well could make that and make a lot of money off it!! They just have to stop trying to retire off every damn Jeep they sell!! The sad part is that it's Dodge and Fiat people doing the designs now days and the quality has really gone down on all Jeep products. Fiat even built a small "thing" with that same junky Fiat motor and Transmission and chassis. Ya, they tricked people into buying a Fiat junk car by putting the Jeep name on it. Fiat motors regularly blow up as early as 13,000. They have been reported both motor and transmission to go out at 20,000 miles, 4 went out at 18,000 miles. It is estimated that around 65% of the motor and transmissions will go out BEFORE 65,000 miles! That's why the popularity for them is zip and Fiat is talking about pulling the cars out of America.
They should build one like this there would be a lot of people down here in the Southwest that would love to have a truck like that or Jeep whatever you would call it look like there'd be a great hunting vehicle for the desert
I think we are going to get a Jeep pickup in the next several years, but whether it looks like this is unknown. The FCA guy mentioned factory issues, but they've already resolved that by announcing that the Cherokee is leaving Toledo and that the new generation Wrangler will be built in the Toledo North plant, which has a higher production capacity than the Toledo South plant where the current Wranglers are produced. So that will open up Toledo South for whatever they want to build, such as a Wrangler PU, 7 passenger SUV, etc.
Never been a truck guy, but this and the Dodge Rebel TRX are amazing. Still, nothing beats a Wrangler.
OMG....please make a kit like this available to the public and I will build myself one!
I worked for 3 years on an assembly line at Honda. We would switch between 3 separate models on a daily basis on the same line, sedans/coupes and 2 SUV models, with tons of international variants. JesseArt agreed
JesseArt no more land rover defender, land rover stop the production line in 2015.
Best concept yet. They should do a limited run to test the waters and get them in the streets and then see about mass production the following year. I'd love to drive one of these and see them in the dealer ships!

This and the a New Ford Bronco.
@@Alex_Gorell came from the Future: they did the Bronco, a New version, but they did
This is the only truck worth getting. This Crew Chief is absolutely amazing! 👍🖒
This was the best looking of the 3 jeep truck concepts they made this year.

As a blackhawk crew chief, I need this in my life.
I would buy this machine and that is saying A LOT because I am simply NOT a pick up guy!
Yeah, me too! I usually stick to the coupes or wagons... but this one, especially as a retro-concept of the kaiser, keeps my attention.
The funny part is: i just explored this vehicle as the "Kamacho" in GTA V Online...
Fantastic truck!! I love the retro look and the military styling!!
looks great, thank u guys for doing this vid been waiting for it
+Dr. infinite You are welcome and thanks for the kind words. Please keep in mind that we are posting the other Jeep car vids to TFLC: ua-cam.com/users/romanmicagearguy
The Fast Lane Truck
There's too many baby Jeeps in production right now. (Looking at you Compass & Renegade) We need more of this.
Bring Jeep back to what it once was!
They've been doing the Gladiator style concepts for a LONG TIME now. They NEED to just PLEASE use the design!!! 2018 Wagoneer! USE IT FIAT FOR THE LOVE OF JEEP!!!!!

All it needs is a 7 slot grill and a V8
screw the trail cat they need to mass produce this thing
+Gavin Kendig Which they will never do. Another feminized SUV will be done however.
+777fuzzypeach look at the diesel pickup with the Renegade front end, its kind of feminine in my opinion
I want one! I hope Jeep/Chrysler roll with this, because this is amazing!
Super cool truck! I've been drooling over that one since I saw the pictures released of the Jeep concepts. Thanks for showing us around it!
I love this thing. When (if) this gets made, I'm buying one.
Agreed. This thing looks amazing
From what I seen the truck needs:
1, A 1 inch lift front and back.
2, The flairs need to come out 1 - 2 inches with a more open angle on the flair.
3. The front bumper needs to extend out at least two inches for clearance.
4. A hard top for northern environments.

Never seen so many black sun glasses in the same space
Very functional truck that will go anywhere. Keeps true to the Jeep tradition. I would buy one but probably not a mainstream vehicle, great for a longer off-road expedition as it has the cargo capacity a Wrangler lacks.
Hopefully someone makes a body kit for the new Gladiator. That front end is awesome.
Jeep makes all these offroad concepts and the only things we get are more mall crawler updates on what we already have.
Were getting closer. Here's to hoping for that front end🍻
Love this concept. Especially the perforated sides on the bed, nice touch.
All it needs is the .50 caliber mounted in the back.

33 inch wheels the Comanche bed, and diesel engine, for under 40k?
I want them to put something like this in production. This thing look amazing...
I kinda like this more than the gladiators
This one is much better than based on renegade.
+BAU i don't know i liked the other one to. It would be ok as long as it was the same price range as a renegade. This one would probably be more of in the price range of other Fullsizes, 40k+
Much more capable yes, but no little pickup exists in the USA right now, I would love to see both of these.
It reminds me of the Jeep Comanche from days past. A nice rugged off-road pick-up.
Jeep needs a new truck again, this isn't a bad idea. Make it more consumer friendly like the old Comanche. Jeep truck! Jeep truck!
I would guess around 60K. I am a Marine Corps Vet and I own a JKU 2015 Freedom Edition now and love it, but this would be my dream truck!
All jeep/truck guys and gals need this. i will buy one.
PLEASE MAKE!!!! This is every mans dream Jeep!
Awesome! Be great if someone could do as a aftermarket build.
Look into the AEV Brute...
awesome videos guys. Y'all should do a video talking about what concept vehicles in past EJS have made it to production. That would be pretty cool!
I LOVE the look of this thing!
I had a 67 jeep truck with this style front end a lift and 33 inch tires and it was a great truck although unrefined with a small 6 and 3 speed manual. slower than a VW bug but would go anywhere.
The only thing it needs is 5.9 Turbo Cummins
It would probably be a 6.7
+Dubya Bush whats the point?
it'd be so much heavier wouldn't it?
+Jake Ryan cummins is so much better. you know why? because you don't see people swapping out duramaxes for powerstrokes
it would probably be that in line 4 cummins concept for the Cherokee
Okay, now THIS I like!
I have been watching you guys for a long time now, thanks for the videos keep the coming
Jeep guys like their bottles; SHOTS FIRED!
That is one bad ass Jeep. Really hope they build it.
I wish this was the truck we got.
The Gladiator is cool, but this one is a beast.
Love it, hopefully they can make a version of this configuration, 4dr, soft top convertible, short bed for the reported Wrangler JL truck with a small Diesel Engine so that it's just a custom hood & finder mopar kit away from this!
my favorite jeep by far. i would love this truck
Loved this video and definitely has me thinking about trying to build my own...love the look of that truck
THIS is the truck Jeep NEEDS to build!!
man can't wait for the official wrangler pickup!
that's gonna be so cool!
Another really nice Jeep concept... Love it.
This truck coming into production may just make me switch to Jeep. BY FAR the best looking thing to come out of a Jeep factory in a long time!!! It may MAY just make me hang up my Nissan hat especially since they killed off the Xterra. Again this is a beautiful truck!
Comanche, J12/Nukiser, Crew Chief 715 and Grand Wagoneer...I can't believe how long it's taking for just one of these to make it to production!!
Excellent review of a new prototype (for real) off roader from the Jeep family farm.
4 years later: a concept car that everyone forgot about.
if you want a jeep pickup in the here and now go check out AEV( American Expedition Vehicles) Brute Double Cab. AEV works with Jeep. It wouldn't be too much of a leap for FC/Jeep to mass produce the Brute. Because AEV already done the work. I want any form of jeep with a truck bed. This one is pritty cool.
these Jeep concepts are badass!
i want the jeep africa from last year to be made they also shouldve introduced a truck version
these bastards taunting us with concepts! make the shit so i can test drive too!
this needs to be mass produced ASAP!!
Much much much nicer than the Fiat they showed the other day.
hell yeah but the price tag if it comes out will probably start at the 30-35k knowing jeep it needs a v8
yep, I'd love to see these on the road
Solid front axle. Thumbs up to that.
I really like the jeep truck I'm sure they could find a way to keep it around 45 50,000 under 60 maybe but it really needs a 5.7 L in it nice job guys.
Are they ever going to be selling these 😳 it looks amazing
I'm not even a truck person and this is something I would buy
only if trucks could get good gas mileage
A lot more badass than the first one.
if I could buy one of these, first thing I would do, is take it to bruiser conversions and put a 4bt in it. also put a smoke stack or 2 in the bed, and if you put a snorkel on it, this monster will be unstoppable!
I hope the new JK based pickup looks more like this concept and not just a Wrangler with a truck bed. This thing would be a serious competitor in the mid-sized truck market if it looks like this.
Shut up and take my money!
I WANT THIS RIGHT NOW, GOD DAMMIT!!!!
This reminds me of something that icon would build
I'm still waiting. I remember the guy who bought the dodge power wagon concept many years ago for like $ 35,000. PS I don't believe we will see anything good from FCA
You can usually use a seat belt buckle to open a bottle
Damn I want that yesterday.
give me a long box option and a diesel and we have a deal
+VK70001.P Agreed
yes, long wheel base with long bed and diesel. jeeps are not known for towing. but it would be great to tow a RV off-road with confidence. great idea.
Shekhar Moona plus it would be a great trail rig with today's lightweight but powerful diesels you could boondock for weeks maybe even months if you use sparingly because your MPG would be HIGH as hell with that light composite body

but personally my trail rig is also my DD so i need both form AND function
Love it Dont Change anything but putting in a 3.9 ISB cummins and build it right now
I want one what a bad ass truck ...... thanks for the video you guys are awesome
That front end is retro and nouveau at the same time.
The Jeep Crew Chief is the best design they EVER came up with!!! I LOVE it! Front and back winch, front and back lockers, looks AMAZING!! Ready for that one with the digital paint scheme.
They should have built this instead of the Gladiator.
They should build one like this there would be a lot of people down here in the Southwest that would love to have a truck like that or Jeep whatever you would call it look like there'd be a great hunting vehicle for the desert
Aesthetically this is my jam.
I always like the concepts, But by the time any of them make it to the market they are so watered down it just sad.
Throw a diesel in it and I'm buying it! I love it!
I would have said the wrangler is like an AR15 rifle. very modular...since they went with a military theme.
The Wrangler is just ugly as a pickup though. I've yet to be impressed with the Scrambler concepts.
OMG this thing looks sweet!
I need this truck in my life.
I think we are going to get a Jeep pickup in the next several years, but whether it looks like this is unknown. jeep should make these to replace our humvees lol these are great
You can't call it a crew chief without a mini gun. Get to it Jeep.
I'll take two of these, please&thankyou!!
Canis Kamacho
That's why I'm here
So Roman, now that you & Tommy tore up a new Gladiator Rubicon on the Rubicon, how did it drive compared to the Crew Chief 715?
if they can do a 4 by engine it will definitely make it extra special!
I really like it!!! hands down i would buy if i had the money!!!
