Read at the JAM web-site about a new effort to expand the JAM in eastern Tennessee counties of Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, and Washington though a non-profit collaboration called "In These Mountains: Central Appalachian Folk Arts & Culture". There are currently only two JAM programs in Tennessee with one in Johnson County and one at ETSU University School (K-12) for student teachers in Johnson City.
    The Band- Cane Mill Road:
    Tray Wellington- banjo
    Casey Lewis- guitar and vocals
Liam Purcell- mandolin, fiddle, and vocals
Elliot Smith- upright bass (absent- traveling)
Kyle Dillow- electric bass (filling in for traveling Elliot Smith)
Cane Mill Road performed an episode of "Grass On The Porch" for the ACMA Mountain Music Museum on the original 20 year old Pickin' Porch stage from the first Bristol, Virginia location of the Mountain Music Museum ( the same ship-lap siding, doors, windows, nail holes, and paint now reassembled in the Kingsport, Tennessee location). Cane Mill Road also performed a two-hour concert on the Museum's main 2018 Pickin' Porch stage with a live radio broadcast (WPWT, related stations, and audio streaming) and Internet live video streaming on the ACMA Pickin' Porch Facebook page.
This LIVE performance was simultaneously broadcast on the Tri-Cities Top Gun radio's three local radio transmitters on 870 AM, 96.3 FM, 100.7 FM, and their station feed was streaming on the Internet at wpwt.streamon.fm. Most Pickin' Porch shows on Thursday nights (7-9 PM Eastern) are also live streamed on Facebook at: pickinporch/...
Older Pickin Porch shows are still resident on the video page there as well.
