@@oliverdelica2289 That little "ah" is apparently their new joke. They did it at the summer concert at Bayshore Church as well. And I believe 2022's one was also an intended mistake.

So, was there a show they did where the judges jumped in and sang (sung?) it?
Must have been; the original joke was they'd only give the judges a two beat measure opportunity to sing, but repeat performances must have opened up the likelihood some judge in the know would be cheeky and throw it in.
And yeah, "sang" in this case

Can someone explain to me why these videos aren't the BHS channel? Did they have some sort of falling out? I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I haven't kept up wither my barbershop for quite a while..
Probably because this is district level, not international
@@Ianita Is international from BHS still a thing? If so when will that be this year?
@@DeathMetalJedi Well... The 2023 BHS international convention just ended. It was July 2nd-9th. And NF4 came back to the contest and took 6th place (again!).
If I remember correctly, the videos from BHS will be uploaded in October.
@Iamthezackster this was from a district contest in the spring. Each year the society has a contest called prelims for past district quartet champions to qualify for the international contest in the summer. Once a quartet wins its district they cant go back and compete again at the district level. Same rules as international. Hope this helps

Ryan left the group on good terms because I think the pressures of touring and stuff were too much. He’s still teaching music and I think judging tho!

@@UrFuturGuirk yeah, I know. But what I don't get is why every other joke I heard about Anthony Bartholomew ends with "Ew gr0ss". GQ in their song Where Do We Belong in the 2022 International Quartet Finals also did it...
It's tight singing, but I think the stage performance has slipped. Jackson's not as energetic and the song was written with the original baritone (who I want to call Glen? But that might be wrong) in mind. He had more nervous energy than Marcus' unshaking optimism. Wonder if Marcus can pull off the haunting sorrow of Cottage?
The other baritone is called Ryan
I think I actually find Marcus’ cheerful still-singing-and-smiling “I don’t wanna!” funnier.

Ah, I should be better than the original comment. Didn't even say, every night is different and looking at one performance now doesn't add up to a negative trend. Maybe Jackson wasn't quite on point that day, it happens, it's still a good performance.
@@davidwilson6577 I think Jackson overall has learned to blend more with the other guys so as it sounds more like 4 guys singing the same insteand a lead and 3 guys. That kind of blend is what ll the championship quartets have.
