I may have said this before, but it's worth repeating.... Weber is literally one of the finest companies I have ever delt with. Kudos to them, including their upper management for being intelligent enough to know how to create and keep long-term customers!
I find that my weber ive had for about 8 years has been no better than any of the cheap garbage I used to buy. It has hot spots and not so hot spots, gets just as dirty and as difficult to clean, temperature gauge is just as unreliable, flames are just as unpredictable. I'm curious what is better about weber than cheap grills? I mean that sincerely. What am I missing?
I have a weber. Best grill ever in 48 years. One important thing, and this may sound really silly: do you grill EXACTLY in accordance with Weber’s instructions. If not, try it for a week, or 5-10 grillings. Then comment again.
@@susan1895 Yes, but the company is great to deal with, which is all I'm saying here. Grilling is a the dirtiest way to cook and yes, Web's have hot spots like any other grill, but if you willingly follow Weber's directions, you can get better results with a more accurate way to get the desired amount of doneness. Like with pork... the window for getting pork cooked right is about 1 minute more or less. If you cook it only on the grill's hot spot, narrow that time down to about 30 seconds. And don't forget about letting the pork get up to its final temperature while resting after removing it from the grill. So yes, it's like many other grills, but with proven methods to using it properly and a great company that stands behind it. PS, for the first 2 mos that I used my E210, I had the grates on upside down (like an idiot). Someone caught my mistake and when I flipped them over, I finally understood what all the hubbub was about. Try doing it Weber's way just a few times to see if you lk it better.

Take this video with a grain of salt. First, I cleaned the inside of my Weber grille first, knowing I would get the exterior dirty and wanted to do that last. Second, I used a plastic scraper, actually used a plastic shim for carpentry, since it was 10” long and very gentle on the metal surface - you definitely would NOT want to use anything metal on the bottom tray to prevent scratches. Longer length of shim prevented me from running my hand into any slop. Third, clear Windex works great on SS, and Lemon Simple Green is outstanding on heavily soiled SS, if you take time and follow directions (wash, rinse, dry). Other than being backwards and potentially harmful to the finish on your Weber, a good explanation of what needs to be cleaned.
Watching on 4th of July. 🇺🇸 Today was the maiden lighting of my first Weber, a Spirit E-310. Got my Weber to 500 degrees and seared some fine cuts of Sirloin (4 min on each side) with only salt and pepper seasoning 2 hours earlier. Outstanding char! 🥩 After which I needed to figure how to properly clean my new grill. Wow, had no idea how much maintenance I 'should' have been doing on previous grills. I suppose this is now a full time commitment. 🇺🇸
I grill with the Weber Genesis II, does it break down like this grill? Be safe all while grilling, always have extinguisher near by, and if you don't have a fire extinguisher, then have a box of baking soda. When a flare breaks out after and you turned off all valves to the gas and tank, just throw baking soda on the flames to smother and extinguish the fire.

How do you rinse the inside of the lid, you said wash with warm soapy water then rinse. Do I just hit it with the hose? Or is it bad to get that much water inside the grill box and on the burners?

Just clean the top of the inside, and burners, and clean the grill grates when they're hot, right before you put your food on it. The stuff that builds up on the v-shaped metal under the grills is what gives your food flavor, just like a charcoal grill.

I imagine the window cleaner is for the shininess of the paint, in the other video of cleaning the charcoal grill they use window cleaner at the end to shine the paint. and it does work.

The list of items required is ripped through much too quickly to be able to write them down. You show the cleaning with this tiny little bucket, you really need one of those wide-mouth budkets to clean the grates.
I imagine the window cleaner is for the shininess of the paint, in the other video of cleaning the charcoal grill they use window cleaner at the end to shine the paint. and it does work.
He cleaned the lid with it... pay attention
This quick easy method where you need only 17 supplies
He works for Weber and he has the most basic of grills?
Why not just use a pressure washer?
I obtained a dirty weber grill from a friend, some of the most disgusting cleaning I've ever done. Moldy grill so gross.

But free! :)
"Now if your grill is dirty like this" opens grill lid and realize his doesnt have excessive peeling inside like my lid has lol! 😅
That’s built up grease and smoke. Use a pressure washer to get that off.
@@brianmcg321thanks for the idea but i used a plastic scraper to get all that off with a peace of cardboard large enough to cover the grill top and that worked great with zero damage to the underside lid of the grill. But, I probably should get a pressure washer though might come in handy 1 day.
Think I’m just going to order all new parts lol
Do they ever come pre assembled? I'm not sure I can handle and fear some kid at Home Depot.
That is not dirty at all, I need a tutorial on how to clean off 1-inch grease stalactites 🎉
Anyone else glad they didn’t push their spray grill cleaner?
What a scam. They start with a dirty, used grill and finish with brand new clean grill (parts) so it looks so easy. Meanwhile, you'll never get your grill that clean, ever, again.
That grill is not dirty.
Already lost me on cleaning the exterior first lol
Yep... that should be the LAST thing to do.
Never never never clean that inside flavors... So wrong
These procedures might work if most people kept their mobile Weber grill in their garage but most people don't they leave it outside to rust and burn
You should clean the outside LAST.
Can't I just put all those removable parts in the dishwasher
