Once again there was tension between Miles and Monk when Miles asked Monk to lay out during his solo on this the third and last song of their set. Miles was never happy soloing with Monk behind him.
This recording sounds very different than the version released on the Bootleg 4 Volume series. I guess the remastering really changed it a lot from the original recorded material.
Need the whole show posted to youtube. Important in the career of Miles.
tracehazarrrrd Agreed. It's too important not to have available to the public.

Luckily it's going to be on the Bootleg Series Vol. 4 release. Only found out about it after I posted this comment.
Miles' form is out of this world at this show.
superb bass and drum accompaniment.
All they are giants of jazz music !
A lot of thanks
Also, the great Heath soloing!
I am looking for Miles and Monk playing Round Midnight at the festival or anywhere

Aaron Feldman Thought this was the only time they played together. Or was Monk on Bags Groove?
very lyrical improvisations
@composerzane: Many often did find it hard. It took a while playing with Monk to figure out how to fit in with his style.
Thanks way cool rip ~ ☮ldhippieяick

This was from a bit torrent download of the show that was floating around a decade back

I see, that makes sense!
Interesting to notice Monk silent during Miles's solo per another poster's observation.
Miles probably told him to stroll, lay off.
