@@mehiloll I think people joke about it BECAUSE it's so dark. Humor is a really good coping mechanism, it's in part why Peter Parker IS so quick with the quips. It allows you to see things more clearly rather than focusing on the trauma itself. It's a good way to connect with people, and build resilience, BUT it shouldn't be used as a way to block out what happened either. WE can go "haha jokes about a child dying in a kid's game" because we have that omnipotent ability to see how things play out. If we did that in universe though? Around Shadow? It would be an entirely different situation.
This is why "serious" sonic the hedgehog works, because even if it's inherently goofy and shit, if the characters in world care the audience will be more likely to care

No, definitely not- Gemerl's simple existence implies that Battle actually, and since Gemerl appears in the IDW comics (helping to protect Cream during the Metal Virus) he HAS to be canon. And retroactively, so does Emerl. Since Gemerl is specifically said to have been built off of Emerl's destroyed body, recovered data and old research Gerald did.

So while I don't think that there will be another playable character if there would be any would it properly be something that would be this easy to realize gameplay wise.

True. To be honest, I was coming time length with Rise of the Wisps, which is two parts. I think Team Sonic Overdrive is about the same length. The episodes in Dark Beginnings will probably be about a minute or 2 shorter, but will still be over Mania Adventures. So it should have enough time to cook if this is anything to go by. I mean, this was 1 minute and 30 seconds, and it was still fire, so to give it in the very least 10 more minutes is fine by me.
Words cannot explain how beautiful and well done this animation was, from the majestical and deep high stake style music, to the futuristic environment with amazing sa2 love letters that flow throughout, The extremely epic anime moments go so hard and I'm glad they chose it because it matches so freakin good with the sonic the hedgehog franchise since its all about speed and action, but this brings it to a much deeper level with multiple more layers! Maria's va is perfect for her and represents her sweetness and character. Kirk is doing so good now and perfectly resembles his deep desire to protect maria. And emerl.. DANNNNNNNNNNNG! As someone who played and enjoyed "Sonic Battle," it was amazing to see Emerl in a Mainline Sonic game. I'm so glad I played "Sonic Battle." Well, technically, there was another Emerl variant in the IDW comics, but this was still amazing to see. Seeing Maria in an anime art style felt like a dream come true. I always believe that anime humans would look great with Sonic and the gang. 0:58 Seeing Shadow interacting with Maria was something I always imagined it should have, and they delivered. I'm 16 and have been a lifelong Sonic fan since I was 6 (ok...only a decade...not lifelong but still!!)---Watched the 90s (and 2000s) cartoons, played most of the games, and read some of the Archie comics at the ages of 6-10. I was a HUGE Sonic fan, and my faves were Silver, Mighty, and Shadow. Maria hugging Shadow at the beginning of this was so wholesome, that my heart was mended (after being broken by her death in the game, and the execution of Gerald) Like, you can see how close of friends Maria and Shadow were. You can see how guilt-wracked Shadow is at not being able to cure Maria's illness (because that was the reason for his creation), and also because she's his friend, so of course he cares. I AM WAY TOO HYPED for this to be released.

If it’s anything compared to the length of the other shorts, each episode will be 5 to 6 minutes, so I say that this will be great.
