Great video; I grew up in Miami and South Florida. (Live in LA now) Tbh, Miami is not for everyone because almost everyone is stacked with roommates or living with their family. Everyone in Miami is struggling, super connected, or has a top-tier career. All in all, Miami is just like any other. You should enjoy it as a local instead of an investment because Miami is a regular city, and most of us who grew up here do not care about the glamour; Miami is great if you got family there or work in the nightlife or in the "scene." Miami is nice to vacation in, but living there is not fun unless you really wanna go through the trenches and you're passionate about this city. Lastly, I recommend you try a city like LA next time because many people here are willing to pay you your worth.
This is all legitimate information. I was born & raised in South Florida but not Miami/Dade County. It’s not all glitz, glam, partying, and fun from my experience growing in Florida. It’s literally the trenches out there when you don’t truly come from money. It’s just facts most people love to ignore about Florida.
At least you can always say "I moved to Miami" I got up I did it I experienced living in Miami you did the hardest part that most ppl can't even do & that's leaving behind everything you had and moving like you did yo shit no matter the outcome, to me its all positive cus you really did that shit you didn't give up you moved you tried it but it just wasn't for you and that's ok. I'm happy you pushed through and you still on top you did that xoxo
Girlllll love this video. I moved to Miami last November, and ummmm the weather is beautiful but the economy is trash as far as jobs go. They don’t want to pay people to live comfortably. I’m Going into my second year here. If I’m not where I want to be in 6 more months I’m going to make a move outta here… I’m finna start saving now, for that move. I’m Thinking maybe newyork or perhaps going back to Chicago. But if I do it will definitely be a suburb part of Chicago.
I feel exactly how you felt when you were in Miami. I’m currently here and it’s just not for me. People are so cheap but pretend to have a lot of money. I’m here alone and miss being in New York with my friends and family. It’s been 4 months and I’m so over it.
I was born and raised in Miami. I left and now live in ND cold ASF! Yes, It's cold and I hate the snow but I would never live there again! Miami is full of politics, overcrowded etc. Peace is priceless babe hope you are doing well now.
@belltowndaisy4214 I agree but you need money or at least a remote job to do that. I went to Costa Rica three times and didn’t want to come back. Glad you moved away and are happy in Mexico.
I would love to enjoy all seasons personally. I hated Florida weather growing up with the hurricanes, flash flooding, thunderstorms, hailing, and extreme heat/humidity. There’s nothing to miss about Florida for me and it’s a now closed chapter.
It is hard to live in Miami now. I grew up here and I'm planning to leave next year for a better living as a single mother of two kids. Apartments are way too expensive.
This is literally how I feel about moving to Atlanta from Houston! It’s hard to build clientele here since it’s so over saturated but now I’m thinking about moving to Miami so that’s how I ended up here lol
You can’t expect to go to miami to do lashes and afford to pay 4000 in expenses. Miami is a tough city and it’s not like NYC. It is very very hard there unless you work in real estate or banking or you are a doctor. I live in London and you think Miami is expensive? London is much more and even more than NYC.
Florida is a rough state to come from. Only is true Floridians knows this but a lot of us don’t talk about it at all. It’s a rough life when you don’t come from wealth in Florida. Y’all don’t mention how the jobs pay way more in the places y’all relocate to, Florida don’t have high paying jobs.
Growing and glowing 🥰 its not easy for someone to just pick up and leave alone, im glad you got to get out there and see what its like working im other states! home is where the money resideeee
hey Briasia, how did you approach it in Miami? Like doing Lashes at your place? What about working for someone else? Is that what you were or are doing in PA? thanks!
I was Visiting miami a lot during the last few years and I enjoyed the environment, weather and found it easier to meet people compared to living here in Boston. But recently looking at the prices of apartments or even renting a single room just seems way to high. Tough decision coming up for me lol. Thanks for the down to earth video
@@ChinaDoll305 so I did it and i found it was very easy to find a job. I was being offered jobs left and right. Now to debate if it was worth the money might be a different story. @@ChinaDoll305 it’s not so bad but the idea of moving again just doesn’t seem to go away. I could go back to Miami or even try out Texas .
