In the books, the one who protects Sansa and teaches her about the realities of the world is The Hound. For some reason the show changed it to Shae, which makes The Hound showing up in Sansa's room seem random. But in the book, it makes perfect sense because of the established relationship between the two.
Also, from what I remember, The Hound kept making unsettling rapey comments towards Sansa throughout the book. Plus, he was drunk in that scene when he offered to take her with him to leave King's Landing. There was no guarantee that The Hound wouldn't just assault her after leaving KL, so she'd rather take her chance with Stannis.
After Renly's death they said all his men flipped to Stannis, all EXCEPT the Tyrells. You saw Margaery and Loras crying in front of his body and both Catelyn and Littlefinger separately saying they can't avenge Renly from the ground. Then next episode we see Littlefinger in Tywin's camp during that "did he notice Arya" scene. But that whole cat and mouse game with Arya and Tywin was a red herring. The real crux of that scene was Littlefinger proposing an alliance between House Lannister and House Tyrell, the Lords of the Reach. It was as subtle as it was well placed. "Margaery wants to be queen I take it" Tywin asks Littlefinger. None of this would've happened if Littlefinger didn't pick up on how ambitious Margaery was when he visited Renly's camp. "No, I want to be THE queen" she had said. All the chess pieces throughout the season, even the unassuming ones, build to Blackwater. The Lannisters now have their southern flank covered. With supplies and men coming in, the tide of the war has turned completely. But who will be the true power in the capital itself? Them or Tyrells?
I always thought that in this episode Cersei is kinda seeing Sansa as a younger version of herself: the teenage version of Cersei who was so excited to marry Robert and become queen (before life made her a fully cynical monster). And so Cersei is almost mocking and scolding and advising her own past self, venting her frustration at her own past idiocy because she sees it reflected in Sansa's behavior now. Everything Cersei says here is tinged with her own self-hatred and self-disappointment.
@erikperhs_ cersei doesn't have to try with joffrey, she loves him as, in her mind, all mothers always will for their sons. I've always thought that she feels guilty for it, but she definitely loves joffrey

He manages to look so mean all the time, but I can totally picture him rocking out and is probably a really cool guy..lol
No one talks about how Tywin got from the beaches outside Kings Landing to inside the throne room all the way up the Red Keep. Just in time to magically save Tommen.
the song sung on 3:55 if "Rains of Castamere" its an old Lannister song about genocide basically, its pretty nice aswell and becomes iconic as show progresses! Guys the Hound fire trauma comes from when his brother burned his face as an infant. Little Finger addressed this at the jousting where he saved Loras from his brother.
my favorite thing about Stannis is how he leads from the front. He is the first in the boat, the first to land on the beach, the first at the wall and the first up the ladder. And then he has to be pulled back by his men.

I've really started to enjoy your reaction.
Fuck yes! Wake up on my birthday and get to watch your GOT reaction with my morning coffee. Best start to the day, fantastic reaction!
When it comes to Fire, The Hound is like Frankenstein in Hotel Transylvania.
"Fire Bad!"
Stannis chose this part of the wall because it is the weakest; with the less reinforced gates.
Its still so interesting how incredibly inefficient the battle strategy was. Or rather, how like 90% of it is missing. They could have done SO much more with the wildfire.
The rains of castamere..this brings me a different kind of mood
I wish we could've got a scene seeing tywin fighting!
Guys the Hound fire trauma comes from when his brother burned his face as an infant. Little Finger addressed this at the jousting where he saved Loras from his brother.
They're in the public area of a brothel. Still, it's more of D&D's "sexposition," and their penchant for using women as set décor.
3:46 great song!
In the books the half man rode out on a horse, that would have so cool to see
Sandor's brother burned his face when he was a kid (not a spoiler, stated in a previous episode in season one). He is afraid of fire.
Varys uses the kids in town to bring him secrets they overhear. It's kind of like Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street irregulars.
That's right, usually episode 9 and 10 are tragic and the best!
my favorite thing about Stannis is how he leads from the front.
He is the first in the boat, the first to land on the beach, the first at the wall and the first up the ladder. And then he has to be pulled back by his men.
Stannis uses wildfire to wash his mouth in the morning!
Who doesnt love Yeah-Gritty?
“I feel like if your guts are out, the strangling is the least of your worries” 😂😂😂 bro that line made me laugh so hard I woke my GF up. I got the meanest look you e ever seen 😮😅😂
11:26 he's new, it's aight
15:35 we hate him but he's new and I think anyone would react like that
17:33 guess theres no one else to relate to and/or trauma dump on
19:33 people have praised him for that
20:58
21:08 you know, I'm at least glad he hesitated and was unsure. He at least considers listening when Tyrion gives him advice
(Well not die.)
25:42 the way the music gets quiet
It's...it feels so awkward because it doesn't look bad at all (and it's worse in the books)
When I first saw it I was like "?? What, what happened? It's just a cut, is he woozy because of the blood or smth? He's fine-- I'm so lost"
27:01 he looks fine lol
That was awesome!
Getting closer guys!!! 😂
i'm currently watching this with my father, his first time not mine, and he loves tyrion so much that he was ready to quit the show cuz he thought he was dead. i had to quickly start the next episode to calm him down lol. we only have 3 more episodes and then he is done with the series!
He thought he...dang
Why
He always looked perfectly fine to me, and I was so lost when I saw it (though his injuries were worse in the books I heard, so that would make sense)
It's good that it does what it should for viewers, but it always feels awkward to watch reactions bc he seems perfectly fine 😅
Now that seasons 1 and 2 are over….you’re about to watch the best written/executed 2 seasons of tv….in the history of tv! Buckle up!
Great reaction! Just a heads up - there are some random crochet tutorial videos in your GoT playlist.
You two are the best. So real, so funny.
Maybe they'll just tell their husbands what a drunk the queen regent is.
I always feel kind of bad for Stannis in this episode, he got screwed over big time by that pyromancer lol
Anyone would have fell for that trick I don't blame him. The main reason Stannis lost is he didn't team up with Rob just as King Robert and Ned did all those years ago
Tywin and his army met up with the Tyrell Army
Your GoT playlist has a bunch of random crocheting vids in it 😂
Damn it! That’s my fault 😂 -bridge
Bridgette looked at me with such a shocked look when I showed her this comment 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Stannis would have won if Tywin and loras force hadn’t come to defend.
Yeah but Tyrion’s wildfire ship and his defense of the Mud gate bought enough time for Tywin’s cavalry to arrive.
