They did that on purpose to make money off proprietary chargers. All it does is contribute to E-Waste. It's the 'Sell the blades' business model. Frankly, it's worn out its welcome and this proprietary stuff has less justification. USB-C is becoming a standard, if not already in the tech world, smart phones, tablets, laptops and other electronic devices. There is no excuses anymore.
@@ubacow7109 really? Same all-in-1 just with USB-C I'd be both happy to hear and extremely annoyed since I just plonked a huge amount of money on this proprietary one.
I'm going on a rant, and not just because I just bought this 15 minutes ago on my lunch break 😏 I was in need of a replacement shaver and have always been wanting an 'All-in-1' device. Clippers, shaver, nose trimmer, tooth brush etc... And to my pleasent surprise I came across this. For me, a high price is justifiable (of course the company has to make profit) for a device to do it all (and do it well) saving a lot of money on in the long rung over multiple devices, accessories and physical space. I purchased a Philips diamond electric tooth brush (twice) and that costs more than the whole Panasonic package. I purchased a Phillips clippers/nose trimmer and they are fairly pricey as well And a small zero level electric shaver. So, I would have gotten an all-in-1 instead if it was on the market earlier, but I bought it now and will give my old stuff to relatives. The point I want to get is, This package is great for those who just want one all in one device or are minimalists BUT Panasonic had to ruin it with one simple proprietary charger. If they are that hard up on profits, they could just simply increase the costs of the accessories and that would have been more justifiable. The charger is the critical piece in the whole package and made it so the device is a dead weight with flat batteries. On a larger argument. I hope the EU mandates *Universal" chargers with the USB-C along with power protocol standards. It was far worse decades ago when UBS-C was not a thing and every manufacturer had their own damn connectors and chargers, but it seems we're still a long way to go when it comes to those minimum universal standards when companies can still pull arbitrary crap like this for short sighted gains. Now that an All - in - 1 is a thing, I imagine all it takes is another company to come and up Panasonic's model with USB-C chargers AND lower initial base device entry costs.
Not at all! I buy the Multishape based on this review and regret it very much. It's not good at any of the functions, especially the toothbrush. Pure junk, do not buy.,
I want a bit more floating range of the two blades so that it conform to my face better. Since the head is already small, I need to make multiple passes.
It’s much faster and easier to just bring all three systems. I have older Panasonic toothbrush and nose trimmer that take AA battery and they weigh next to nothing as well as being compact.
Nice content and review. you might want to move the microphone away from your throat or mouth or take a drink of water though. The sound of you struggling to swallow with your dry mouth takes away from the quality information that you share in your video partially. Just something you might to improve your followers and outcome of your channel. Have a good one. Nice review.
Great product which I would buy immediately, --- if it was usb-c charging.... A plug in cord, seriously, in 2023? Especially for a traveller... I am not even hating, I just don't understand... I would much rather buy this product but had to go with a similar looking Xiaomi unit just for the usb-c charging.
Yep. There's not justification for this (of course everyone knows why they did this) Either another company will bring up their own All-in-1 and easily up Panasonic by having USB-C standards OR Eventually places like the EU enforce USB-C and power protocol standards. Phone makers have moved on to USB-C Laptops, tablets and the tech world has done so Most small electronics have done so as well.
I am a frequent traveler and I bought this based on this video, and it's my biggest regret in recent memory. This jack of all trades does nothing well. It doesn't shave well and the toothbrush is so weak and loud, so it doesn't brush well. The biggest sin of all - super expensive. One would be much much better served by buying an entry model of Sonicare for toothbrush and Norelco for shaver. I bought a $25USD Sonicare 2100, a $30USD Norelco 3000 series. They are lightweight and small, and outperforms this Multihshape in every way. Plus, both of those use standard USB cable for charging... DO NOT BUY THIS PANASONIC JUNK!
I wish they made it USB-C its such an innovative product
Only thing holding me back.

agree with the charger -- when I travel I really do not want to carry one more charging brick, no matter how small.
Great review, but the sound of your swallowing 😢
Do you feel like the toothbrush works as well as a Sonicare, in terms of cleaning?
I prefer the Sonicare, largely because of the size of the head/stem of the Panasonic. It is harder to move it around.

An important aspect is not addressed: noise. It should be assessed using the different modules and in real conditions
7:10 when you say you wish it was a little bit more contouring, do you mean accurately shaping?

@@PKShiu oh ok. Does it pull in the hairs or hurt or cause razor bumps?
No. Just takes more time.
@@PKShiu ok thank you
How close is the shave? Is it similar to a razor blade?
It is okay shave. Not as close as a larger electric and definitely not like razor. This really is a travel centric set, at least for me.
@@PKShiu thanks for the response. I was really looking forward to getting this, not so much anymore. Thanks for the good review.
@@dallasn16what’d you end up getting??
@BobRoss-wm3lc I just ended up buying separate items. Once I run out of razor blades I'm going to get a braun series 9.
