@@avionsolar 0 standards at all??? Cops ramming each other, you are driving all over the road, honestly you are a greater risk to the public than the suspects are lmao - I'm not sure how your server operates but from someone who roleplays in servers that focus on realism it's quite shocking
@amystery806 I wouldn't say 0 standards as there are standards which are lower than irl ones due to the fact it is a game and not everything has been replicated. If we were to be more cautions when driving then we would never catch anyone in pursuits for the simple fact that they would continue to drive like maniacs and we would be powerless to stop them. Some things like curbs and signs seriously damaging cars arnt moddeld in the game and as such people mount them and ram them at speed without any care and regard. In relation to the ramming it is something that has been worked on but factors like desync are a problem and when it comes to ramming people trying to escape the lsps has restrictions on when it can as can be seen in the clips we only made contact with that blue car after it has intentially rammed us and not for the first time that evening. Do I think there is room for standards to improve ? Yes it's something I have been working on but there is a ballance that needs sticking between realism, fun and proportionality. Is it relasitic that the person we are chasing would be going 100mph+ through a busy city centre irl? I would say not but because it's a game and there's no real risk to them they do so we need to keep up to them. My personal preference would be for all the cars to have a speed and acceleration reduction however I believe it has been suggested before and declined
