Calculate the boil-up from the kettle or reboiler which could give you an idea about the boil-up that enters the column and then estimate the pressure drop across column, that would give you the vapor rate at column exit.
In atmospheric distillation If i consider toulene as liquid phase having inside temprature 30℃ then what is my LMTD ? OR WHAT IS my demand is it m Cp ∆T + mL ?
Hii Dhruv, Toluene boils at 110 C during normal distillation i.e., at 760 mmHg, So for estimating LMTD you can take 30C as initial temperature and 110 C as final temperature and the jacket utility temperature remains the same (if it's steam)
Ajay sir i am very happy that finally you started UA-cam we are waiting eagerly
Sir u r doing grate work please add more videos
Can you pls explain ANFD complete design with drying rate calculation
Hllo Sir if I'm using ceramic band heater for reactor heating for boiling off water what temp will be considered for lmtd calculation
Sir if lmtd increase y overall heat transfer coefficient will reduce
do you have any online or paid membership programme for answering our questions?
Sir, What if we use a band heater instead of steam jacket. What will be the LMTD.
sir,we wish u heathy wealth
Thanks for your wishes mate
In 2nd case what if we use hot water what would be the u value and how u relate lmtd in that case?
sir,how if heating is double limpet and heating by thermic fluid?
sir,why we are consider mλ only for heat demand .why we are not considered M*Cp*deltT Or (M*Cp*deltT+ mλ)

Please explain column design. No theoretical plates and dia of column q line
Nice 👌
Ty so much
