For extra info about Sayo (the little girl) in the manga extra chapters she felt guilty and meant the demon that entered the temple was the one but the police misinterpret as Gyomei that did it and when she turned 14 (like Muichiro and Nezuko) she still feels guilty and wanted to apologize to him.
I think its also pertinent to point out that the demon would have disappeared by the time other people came around after sunrise. So all that's left is a young adult covered in blood and a bunch of corpses. Even if he tried to say "she meant it was a demon that killed everyone!" the fist responders likely would have considered him crazy since it seems like part of this world is oblivious to or not really fully into the idea of demons being anything more than myth.
Also it explains that the three kids who ran, were trying to go get help. They're weren't running for their lives to abandon them.
That Muzak walk was COMPLETELY fucking necessary my gosh bro
The ending theme, "Tokoshie" was so mesmerizing that it is no exaggeration to say that it was created for the ending of this episode!

i wish we've gotten more of that kid on ep 17 or later, because imo it happened such a loooong time ago that most ppl forgot about him and didn't care anymore. i think his character here was nicely set up, but the connection to Zenitsu not so much.

@@Plasma_Sentient well i think it’s basically more of a “show, don’t tell” kind of thing, we cant see his face in zenitsu’s backstory but we can see his neck accessory (the choker) which is also shown here in this episode

There's in extra page in the manga that is Sayo (the lil girl) of her pov that says this "According to Sara's account of the demon attack, That man," was a "monster" who killed everyone, but by that man," she meant the demon who snuck into the temple, not Hime jima. However, the demon had burned up in the morning sun, and Sayo couldn't speak properly due to shock from the incident, so she couldn't dispel the suspicion that fell on Himejima. Even now, at age 14, Sayo worries about that and wishes she could apologize."

That kid who betrayed Gyomei and kids is teased in Zenitsu's backstory in Season 1.... He was Zenitsu's friend at some point....
So, the letter basically state, Zenitsu's Grandfather/teacher killed himself because he found out his other student who use to train with/bully zenitsu, turned into a upper rank demon. Therefore Zenitsu is on a mission to ask his rival why and kill him.

Muzan doesn't need the Blue Lily anymore, so long as he can get his hands on Nezuko. But, speaking of the BL, it is interesting that Muzan was not able to find it in centuries of looking. That is one elusive flower. Makes you wonder what its backstory is and that of the Dr. who gave it to Muzan.
