I couldn’t think of anyone else that could be entrusted with the carriage and horses. It’s a touching legacy to pass on to this lovely young lady.

I love Edward & his family, they are always in the background just carrying on, not making any waves but being involved where necessary & as great support to whoever needs it. A very together & loving family.
Yes. Sophie is just lovely too..and always polite to say a few simple and loving warm words about the RF. She too suffered some dreadful press comparisons and mean things by the press in the early stages. I think they gave their gramps sime truely wonderful relaxed memories too.
Edward and Sofie brought great shame to the RF. In their early marraige they tried to profit from being royal. Only they were caught on camera. The queen made them be low key royals for about 5 years. Hence they have kept a low profile since then.

I'm so glad to hear that something unique went to Louise. She appears to be a very sweet young lady, & I was impressed as she stood bobbing her head in agreement with her mother as Sophie was being interviewed about Prince Philip! I'm sure she was special to Prince Philip and one could easily see that he was special to her! God bless them all in the loss of their loved one!

I agree with you. It's doubtful that she will, but let's hope.
That'd be up to her, when she turns 18 this fall. But seeing how private she and her brother are, I doubt she'd go into the Firm as a working royal. I think it's likely she'll follow her cousins Peter, Zara, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Beatrice and not work for the Royal Family.

The whole family is very lovely and very down to earth. Yes we should hear more about the family that carries on the Royal life with dignity and Grace. They go about serving their Queen and country with loving and smiling faces. I'm sure this is one family that has the queen extremely proud.

This is so lovely of Prince Philip. Everyday I hear more and more of his amazing and humble life. Lady Louise has grown into a beautiful, caring and humble woman. Lady Louise and her mum Sophie, Countess of Wessex had the best teacher. Prince Philip will be missed because he had so much knowledge to teach the younger generation!

I cried when i saw the carriage. The world misses Prince Philip.
I can't believe he's gone 💔 😢 so sad really shocked. My heart breaks for them al especially as he couldn't be with them al to say goodbye how horrible. Although its been like that for alot of us thanks to this covid

What a lovely story; thank you! I wish we heard more about Prince Edward and his beautiful family. As an American, I know very little about them.
Edward runs the duke of Edinburgh award scheme. Sophie helps him and the queen by patron of charities. Louise was born early and nearly died. She had sight problems for many years. She goes to local school and is doing a levels. The family lives. 10 miles from windsor near Ascot.
Sophie and Catherine are friends.

I like Prince Edward and his wife Sophie. They carry out their royal duties, representing the Queen, and are well respected. I think Edward is quite reserved and stays away from the media (when possible).

Her parents know Louise and James will have to work when they grow up, maybe after uni or if they join the armed forces etc, so it's wise they bring them up in a quieter way. It was with some degree of curiosity that I was watching the reaction of royal family members to the death of Prince Philip. And I was very much impressed by the sorrow combined with royal dignity which Lady Louise Windsor demonstrated facing the loss of her beloved grandfather. A born Lady, a worthy granddaughter of a noble Duke.

No, she’s Lady Louise. When her parents become Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, she’ll still be Lady Louise.
@@lindawilson467 She is actually a Princess bcs HM had been extended the rule to make all of her grandchildren a Prince/Princess style (not only for the descendant of PoW). But that's up to their parents whether they want to take it from child or after they're coming of age or completely refuse the style. Actually all of HM's children & grandchildren is Princes/Princesses (except Princess Anne's children, she refused to receive it), BUT if they also have a peerage title (such as Duke, Earl, Viscount, etc), the peerage takes precedence. In the Wessexes case, Lady Louise takes the style of Earl's daughter (Lady) instead of using the Princess bcs Sophie wants to make her children childhood as normal as possible, away from the public (whilst the Cambridges took it from the start). Here, Lady Louise can take the Princess title when she's coming of age (again, IF SHE WANTS). James here takes Prince Edward's secondary title, Viscount Severn. So when the Wessexes become The Duke & Duchess of Edinburgh (and pretty sure their children will all have been coming of age), Lady Louise & James will absolutely become Princess & Prince of Edinburgh (again, IF THEY WANT TO TAKE IT). I think they will take it bcs wHy NoT haha😅💯.
(+) The rule is, every (1) children, (2) grandchildren, and (3) the children of the first son of the heir apparent (PoW) of the sovereign will be Prince and Princess. So William's children are Princes & Princess NOW whilst Archie isn't. But when Charles become king, Archie will be Prince bcs he will be the sovereign's grandson.👍🏻

Very touching for sure! What a wonderful man to introduce carriage driving into competitions in GB, and to share his love for it with his family. He surely had so many wonderful interests of significance. He’s a great example of a family man who was the head of the family, and even though most men in the world aren’t wealthy, just following the example of being actively involved in life and including the family members in those things, that’s what we all can gain from his example.

I wondered what was in the red-lidded pot! Delighted that Louise has got the two adorable jet black ponies and trap and that she continues to enjoy them for as many years as her grandfather did! Wondering what her brother James has been given or whether he will be joining his sister and sharing them. For their ages they both conducted themselves very well during the service. I'm glad that Harry was staying with them and his Uncle Edward and Aunt Sophie! I've ALWAYS liked Edward - the best out of the three sons and Royal Princes!
