@CogekUniverse Talents can't be ashed when you choose an effect that doesn't draw (take control over 1 monster). With thrust, it seems the reason beghind that is the effect applying after activation so that someone could chain an effect that does summon and then you could indeed add to hand theoretically.
@@dennissilvva1950 it doesn’t matter the effect you choose, it can be ashed no matter what bc it is a card that includes an effect that adds a card to hand, same with thrust and any other card that includes an effect to, from deck, add to hand , special summon, or send from to GY

@huehuehue-x3c if the target is destroyed, machine dupe can't summon. You have to choose a monster on activation and it needs to stay on field
