    You do such a great job being clear on the pronunciation and giving time - for us beginners - to hear the words and repeat them several times. Thanks for these videos! I'm hoping to emigrate to Portugal in October!

    11-19 was actually easier for me because it's very similar to French.

    Quinze same for both

      One thing is to understand them when you hear or read them, and another thing is to be able to write and speak them correctly. I speak 6 languages and for me it's a challenge to not muddle up some similar words.
      Legumes- légumes- Easy piece lemon squeeze- Yes, but remember in portuguese is without accent aigu.
      That was just an example. Understand my native language is not difficult if your native language is french, italian or spanish, but write and speak it well is another issue.

      @@Theyoutuberpolyglot I never said it's a cakewalk my friend. I just said it's easier to remember and by relating them together it can definitely help.

    Well done. What I would say is that up to 24 vinte e quatro, I could hear a definite 'and' E or e. From vinte e cinco, from my hearing it became vinte cinco and not vinte e cinco. Did it become more colloquial and why as you say did E almost becomes inaudible. Keep up the good work, European Portuguese needs far more attention.

    • @Portugueselab
      @Portugueselab  7 років тому +1

      Indeed, in 25 the last "e" of "vinte" merges with "e" (and) and apparently disappears (vinticinco). It's there, you just don't hear it. :)
