So what do you think about the collar? Great Idea or what?

The extra part of this collar is what really looks interesting. I also like that it’s custom made too, but they just need a little better quality - once they resolve that stitching and other quality problems, this could be something to combat big companies like Modern Icon

    I love the concept.
Not sure on the body strap, mainly the fact it has a D-ring at the back. I could see that being mis-used by a lot of owners in the same kind of way people tie leads around their dogs stomachs to stop them pulling. Holding the 'comfort handle' too could be really uncomfortable to the dog if the are pulling or squirming. I suppose it might look very different on the dog it was measured and fitted for 😊

Just wish companies did good quality, wider collars for small dogs. My biggest dog is 5kg but they’re all super active and the options for hardy collars for them is basically none. I’m not talking military style because it would probably be a little over kill but something made for more than being pretty would be great.

Have you checked out Mia K9 although they are military style, they do very cool small dog collars

There’s a company called Diezel Pet products on Amazon. Their marketing is practically nonexistent but they have a wide variety of seemingly strong and unique collars (I even saw one that said it was neoprene padded) so that could be worth a look

The collar looks good, I would be concerned about the extra piece with male dogs..where is sits on your dog, is quite far back on her abdomen..

Totally valid except this set up was measured for a different dog 😬 I didn’t have access to them so used my Spaniel instead

My dogs neck is wider than his head, so flat collars slip off easily should he pull back for whatever reason (only happened once in 6 years). I used a half check for this reason (i never 'correct' him, he would be mortified as he is OTT sensitive to such things). I also have him on a harness with a double ended lead attached to both.
This would make sense for dogs such as mine if a collar only was used, but my main objections are the straps are way too wide for my liking - needs to be narrower between the shoulder blades for starters. I dont like these massive collars and harnesses and dont see the need for them. That would also rub on a short coated dog like mine and would need some serious padding. Ive had a collar like that before, complete with cobra clip etc, and my dog ended up with significant hair loss and a sore neck.
    It just doesnt look comfortable.

This is some I'd never put on my dog. It looks WAY too thick and stiff for a small dog.

I don’t think it would work for my littles.

I have been looking for the right collar or harness setup for my new rescue Galgo and like the look of this. Based in Wales she needs a coat to keep her warm and finding the right kit that fits well is challenging. Would you guys recommend anything different from your experience? Thank you, your kit videos are super helpful.

Can't beat a good martingale collar for safety and simplicity on a hound

Did your mom name you Nano? Its different. What does it mean? It suits you. Oh the collar….temporary use specific then Id remove and go back to rolled collar. It breks less hairs. Snug enough but able to slip over head with right pressure but if im walking a dog i like this collar you show. Because thats when you need a collar that does NOT slip over head. Without a stitched in place going under to back collar i imagine unwanted shifting away from being in line with neck portion? Or is the width preventing too much of that? The neck width is interesting. I wonder if its more or less comfy for dog. Seems like it would be more. Also. I cant find it. Do you have a link please? Anybody?
