    Good video! You should have taken FM 3005 all the way down to San Luis Pass. Make sure to slow down at Jamaica Beach though.

      They do and the people have to basically cross a 4 lane highway to get to their cars!

      The historic part of Galveston is pretty awesome, especially along Broadway and the Strand historic district. And yes the cruise ships are at the northwest end. Go ride the ferry, it's pretty cool and you'll see lots of dolphins out there. It's a free ride 24/7 and it's fun.

      This was at Galveston, but I think its common at a lot of the beaches in Texas.

    Do you have to pay to park on the seawall?

    • @DeceleratedTravel
      @DeceleratedTravel  3 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately yes. It is $2 an hour up to a total of $16 per day. There is an annual parking pass available as well.
      Some free parking areas are located on the north side of Seawall between 12th and 19th streets, 33rd and 39th streets, 53rd and 61st streets, and 85th and 91st streets.

      @@DeceleratedTravel So I have to pay to see the ocean. That's pretty dumb. Who is the money even going to?
      Thanks for the response btw.

    • @trevorjameson3213
      @trevorjameson3213 Рік тому

      @@charlesrump5771 You don't have to park there. Just drive a couple of miles southwest of the city and there are numerous public access roads straight to the beach, for many miles down to the southwest, completely free. You can also ride the ferry on the northeast end of the city for free, it's Texas Department of Transportation and it's free 24/7

      Not really. If you go towards the bay side, yes.

      I never see any mosquitoes on the coast, or flies or anything at all. At least all the times I've been there I've never seen any.

      I'd recommend taking Broadway. You wouldn't have to worry about that.
