So glad I ran across this video and channel! Thanks for posting this interview with 2 of the authors! As an MEP electrical engineer I'm mainly designing building or even campus size electrical systems, so nothing utility scale, but I'm including more and more small-scale battery backup into buildings, primarily for Life-Safety reasons. Originally for emergency lighting with the small 5kVA - 20kVA battery & inverter combos, but more recently for larger power backup like 40 kVA / 80 kVAH for elevators (with their own issues of braking regen!). So even thought I don't design the battery storage, I still would like to understand the tech behind it, and I'm excited to read this book! Cheers!

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my copy of The BESS Book. Swetha and Drew's insights into utility-scale energy storage perfectly align with my research interests. As I conclude my Master's in Battery Technologies next semester, I'm particularly interested in exploring their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing this critical technology. I appreciate their contributions to the field and look forward to gaining valuable knowledge from their expertise.
Thank you to Suncast Media for hosting this interview.
    Best regards from Chile!
