Yo Mike ! Another good haul at the fair - some nice colour vinyl in amongst those - good start to 2025-Dave Atkinson keeps trying to get me to buy Brinsley Schwartz albums as well 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Mike- I always enjoy finding Peel Sessions - I have a good handful including Gary Numan, New Order, Joy Division (I think) 🤔👍 All good stuff! As usual I’m jealous (we have so few good record fairs near me) Cheers-R
@@mikevinylspiralI only have it on CD, but it’s 7 songs (longer than many Peel Sessions, it seems) I wish I could find some by the shoegaze bands that did Peel Sessions (pretty sure Loop did one)…🤔
Hi Mike - that's a lovely haul and I particularly liked the 7s and 12s. I got a lot of singles last year and have enjoyed spinning them over the past few months. I've seen that Rachel Sweet album a lot over the years but never explored further.
G'day Mike, You always do well at the record fairs. You are getting quite a large collection of Vibrators 🙄 Nice Peel Session. Girls At Our Best sound worth checking out. I haven't seen that Richard Hell cover before...cool. I have that Ghost Town 12". So sweet. Prince Buster, Toots classics. Trojan is fantastic. There's is a great store I go to when I'm in Tokyo in the Shinjuku area called Dub Store. They have the rights to reissue all of the Studio One stuff. As well as that amazing catalogue they have an amazing collection of OG LP's & 7"s. A whole store just dedicated to Roots, Ska & Dub. Love Japanese record stores. Hope you're well mate. Cheers...Ben
Hi Ben. Nice to add another to my Vibrators collection. I was really buzzing 🙄 I hadn't found any Peel Sessions for a while so pleased to get this one. Do you watch Michael's channel, Rice Field Records? He specialises in Tokyo record store visits. I don't think he's done Dub Store yet. One I'd really like to go to is Base in Koenji which specialises in punk and hardcore. Cheers Mike👍
@@mikevinylspiral 😂You should do a feature on your Vibrators. I for one would love to learn new ways to get my rocks off 🤣Sorry couldn't help myself! I don't know Rice Field, but thanks for the tip. I'll check him out. As I go to Japan every year I'm always on the lookout for new record stores. I don't think I'll ever run out. It's mental over there. Cheers...Ben
Plasmatics - cool. I just have one LP from them (Beyond The Valley Of 1984). Hey, I also have the LP that the Vibrators single is from. It's really great. I have never heard of Girls at Our Best. Lovely finds, Mike!
Great pick ups from the fair Mike,it always amazes me what you manage to find . I've got the Plasmatic album that has Butcher Baby on it but didn't realise they were on Stiff. I've got an Anti Pasti hits type album and No Government is my fave by them. I think this is only the second time I've seen that Prince Buster hits album. If I ever came across it again,I'd seriously consider buying it,just for the sleeve design but in all honesty I don't really need it as I've got an original copy of his first hits album but I wouldn't mind comparing the track listing on mine and yours. North of a hundred quid for original copies in real good condition.....people who slate others for picking up the re-issues need their heads wobbling !!!
Hi Nick. I'm really loving the Prince Buster album. I couldn't believe the price of some of those original reggae singles. Way out of my price range. The Plasmatics had a few albums on Stiff including, New Hope For The Wretched that the single comes from. Cheers Mike👍
Americans likely pronounce it "Brinsley Schwartz" and the British (and Europeans) pronounce it "Brinsley Schvarz". I cannot remember a single US Disk Jockey ever playing their stuff on air and citing their names. I've only ever been reminded about them until I waded into the VC and it was because of the British wing of the VC. No point intended; just an observation that's been percolating. Nice finds. You know me, I'm a sucker for jacket art and that Plasmatics takes the cake.
Hey Mike! Some good finds, nice way to spend the day. Cheers!
Cheers Steve. Thanks for watching👍
Hi Mike, nice finds. One day you may get lucky and stumble across the elusive Girls Aloud Peel Session. Andy
Hi Andy. I live in hope. One day that elusive Girls Aloud Peel Session will show up or the equally rare Boyzone 😂 Cheers Mike👍
You had a very busy record fair Mike. Love the Richard Hell album, a must have in my book. Also the Two Tone label is such a cool looking label.
Hi Steve. The Richard Hell is a 12" single. But the album is a must have. Two Tone is an iconic record label. Cheers Mike👍

Hi Gav, I think you should listen to Dave and get hold of some Brinsley Schwarz. Cheers Mike👍
@ Dave will probably agree with you ! 🤣

It would be good to see your peel sessions records in a video 👍👍👍
Thanks Richard. I don't have the Gary Numan Peel Sessions, but would definitely add it to my collection if I saw a copy.

Hi Dale, singles are still my main focus at record fairs these days. Rachel Sweet's album is pretty good. Cheers Mike👍
some classics especially the plasmatics LP. Greta video and BONUS... Norman Maslof is not here to ruin it
Thanks for watching. I don't think Norman shares my taste in music. Not enough Beatles. Cheers Mike👍
@@mikevinylspiral Enough Beatles or not, I'm just sick of seeing his face and his lisping nonsense
