So where can I actually maintain substance like office & employees then, without incurring operations/management-related tax obligations in this 3rd country?
Thanks for the great content! One question though, when I submit my Audited Financial Statements and the Revenue Service is conducting their audit - do I need to pay the tax before they reach a conclusion and get the money refunded or can I wait with paying the taxes until they are finished with their review and came to a conclusion?
TLDR: No, regardless of what is on paper or what officials tell you, _because it is controlled by Beijing and the CCP is in economic freefall._ It doesn't matter what is written or stated. What matters is what is ordered and enforced; the orders come from Beijing, and enforcement itself is enforced strictly by the Party, so if WInnie The Pooh and his gang wants HK to start looting companies in its territory then that is what gets done. _This is already happening on the mainland by provincial governments to meet tax revenue demands._ HK offers nothing to aliens or foreigners that cannot be had elsewhere with superior (i.e. non-existent) risk of being screwed over by the host government.
How it can be Tax free when I dont have any substance in Hong Kong and Im not allowed to have a office and employees there? 😅 No country and bank will accept that? Lets say Im in Georgia, I will have to pay taxes there because its considered as Georgian Sources because I work there?
