Today, I met Jai from Gujarat, India, at DMU Leicester. He has been in the UK since September 2023 and is pursuing an MSc in International Business at De Montfort University. We spoke about the reality of cash-in-hand jobs in the UK. He shared a real story about his friend, who was exploited and not paid at all for his hard work.
I would recommend that you never get involved in cash-in-hand jobs, as you are allowed to work 20 hours a week as a student, which is enough to survive. Always follow the legal system; it is not worth risking your future. Remember, if you work cash in hand, you can also get deported.
