Shelter resonated with my own personal journey of coming back to Ireland after 30 yrs abroad and having to begin my life again from scratch. I found a house just as primitive, the windows are drafty, the plumbing wasn't brilliant, but who cares, the most important thing is I have felt safe and finally at peace, so I can't want for more and this song is so raw and authentic it echoes all of this for me.
Seldom it is for a woman and a song to get better with time. Here the two go hand in hand. Joy to watch.
Just revisited this album yesterday and had to listen to it a second time when it ended. I can't seem to get enough of this amazing artist. Had to hear this song again before bed. More music, please, Olivia!
