All GNCC and NYOA races are insane. Snowshoe is just another track. We race rain or shine and they are all extremely difficult
I race gncc and Awrcs.. and Awrcs is tougher but it has a ways to go before it’s as big as gncc

Nah, this is the latest fad it seems. Hanging a water bottle off your helmet, we've been using CamelBaks for years here. Not sure why the fast guys are moving to the hanging water bottle now.
They all wear hydration packs. It’s a 3hr race so the water bottle gives you something fresh to drink. Usually gator aid or zip fiz is in the bottle

This is a very misleading title. It's not an enduro and it isn't America's toughest race, not even close to being the toughest.

What's with dangling a little water bottle from their chinguard?
How is that remotely as good as a hydration pack with a drinking tube?

I dont get it why their bikes in gncc are more motocross style than enduro. Even mufflers sound horrible and make bikes too agresive.

@@mrbimo9285 The entire "XC" line of bikes like the FX, XC-F, RX,etc are made specifically for this type of racing. This is not hard enduro. If companies are making specific bikes for this kind of racing, I would say its pretty popular. Don't be ignorant.
The bikes are the cross country versions. Basically a mx bike with a 18 inch rear wheel, a larger gas tank and softer suspension settings. That's it.
It's not an enduro race.
