If it had been no skin off his nose, I'm betting he would have jumped the other way. OP making HIM clean up after them sealed the deal. Lol.
I like how OP told us that SIL has 8 kids so late in the story. That’s crazy. So 10 people want to move in and you have to feed them and pay for their overall expenses, and also deal with their disrespect. This is the most ridiculous thing. Jealous of what.
Yeah I found it wild the SIL had 8 kids but I know people who have way more. A person I know and grew up with is the eldest out of 21 kids. Yes you read that right. 21
And to make matters worse, that's at least 13 people (OP, OP's husband, their daughter, PLUS these 10 people,) all somehow being supported on the one income. I get the sense he's well paid, but unless he's exceptionally rich, I doubt he can afford all this alone. It's probably for the best that OP put the foot down early, before this became financially ruinous.
@@selinalee1077I grew up in a small farming/hunting community and some of my friends have a lot of kids! My stepmom is the youngest of 13 and I went to school with someone that had 18 siblings. But they were all really nice and respectful to others. But I wouldn't let someone that didn't like me or respect me move into my home along with 9 other people, and have to pay for their needs or clean up after them like their mother. A guest is one thing entirely, I would do what I could to make them feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome. But a small hoard? Oh hell no, their mom can pick up after them. Especially since they're staying for free, they should be doing whatever they can to help out.
I almost burst out laughing when the SIL accused OP of being jealous of her because what is there to be jealous of? A homeless woman that bleeds everywhere toting around a horde of nasty kids? It's sad that the husband's family have so little respect for him and OP. SIL hates OP more than she loves her brother and the rest of them tried to bully him into taking her in despite all but admitting she was being gross. Husband definitely got bullied a lot by them and they think they can continue to do so well into adulthood, such shameful behavior.
SIL: Oh youre just jealous of me... OP: oh yeah im totally jealous of a homeless woman with her 8 spawns and a husband whos pull out game is weaker than your housing situation....yeah, I'm soooo jealous....
"SIL hates OP more than she loves her brother" I think this is the part that gets me the most. How could SIL (and the rest of the family by extension) not realize that their efforts to disrespect OP also disrespects her husband, their brother, as well? I have a feeling the husband has always been the scapegoat of the family, which is why all this crap has been allowed to slide for so long and why they were so quick to gang up on OP when she finally put her foot down. Good on OP for holding her ground and for helping her husband realize he doesn't deserve their abuse either.
Notice how everyone has a reason why they can't host sister and family (how many kids? Nine?) long term, but "Trust us she treated our houses great. We just all can't have her in our houses". And sis should have kept her mouth shut if OP was the one taking care of her six year old for the sake of family.
OP mentions having it on good authority that SIL and family are good guests at the other families' homes. So while them having excuses to not house them is sus, she has the first hand knowledge that this bitch is committing to being a free-bleeding mess around OP-s house.
Honestly the sil tried to mend fences but OP is no longer able to step back because the sloppy sil was so awful to her. Under other circumstances OP would be in the wrong no longer helping her out. Firm boundaries were needed to show them what she did for them.
Story 1: I refuse to believe OP's sister in law's family was tidy at the other houses. I believe that their hosts cleaned after them and are lying about how house trained they are in order to be able to foist her on another unsuspecting victim.
You notice how the other two brothers conveniently had excuses for why they couldn’t house them for more than a week or two? 🤔 They didn’t want 10 extra people in their homes either!
I think the fact that she and the rest of the family clearly look down on OP for being a SAHM (“You we’re going to be home anyways! What’s one more child that’s already potty trained?”) plays a huge part in how they’re treating OP and husband
Hubby’s parents failed their family big time. All of these adults hanging around and only 1 person can raise their own kids without assistance? Pathetic.
@@Midnight0Mistress Apparently not the SIL and her husband... Not cleaning up when it was fairly simple to handle and then doubling down when called out is mind boggling. I do love the diabetes as an excuse for the FIL and MIL to not take them. Clearly, the kids are running wild and the GPs don't want to deal with it either.
@@user-wr3vt8uq4s I think the thing that amazes me most is that it wasn't even a matter of having trouble cleaning up after 8 kids promptly. That still would have been an issue, but at least nothing surprising. But no, it was the ADULTS who were making messes, and as part of an apparently intentional pattern.
Amen to this! Like why are other people required to care for their brood? If they have the right to reproduce like puppy mills then other people have the right to say, okay, well, good luck with that I don't want any part of it.
Go rewatch the first 5 minutes of Idiocracy. All the good character traits just die out. The future belongs to those who have children. Don’t get me wrong what you’re saying is sensible. It just backfires because those that have sense don’t breed. Those that don’t have sense breed like rabbits.
Yeah and the mother in law saying “she can have as many kids as she likes”. I’d have said “Yeah, she can have 35 if she likes and she house the lot of them! I’m not ‘shelter’ it’s not my job to house the homeless!”
Thank you! You don't know how much lazy, entitled parents who breed like rabbits irritate me! 😡 I think it goes without saying, but if you can't handle children then DON'T HAVE CHILDREN! And you can't be bothered to protect yourself during your "fun times", you don't get to complain if you find yourself caring for so many children. Either suck it up and be a parent or better yet give them to someone who will be a good parent to them. Sorry for the rant. It's just that as an aspiring mother, lazy, entitled parents royally piss me off. 😡
It's not that they can't. It's more of a power move. She wants to assert dominates over OP. She thinks her brother is a coward and if she can force OP out with her little power play then they'd have a permanent place to stay.
He got that spine after cleaning up that bio-mess. Note how he was willing to give them another chance before OP made him clean up. If there's one thing I absolutely *commend* OP on, its vehemently refusing to touch that mess. The husband should also clean the shower so that he never forgets why those people were kicked out. While OP suffered that disrespect all through, it didn't matter, now he has had a taste of what she goes through, he has obtained a spine.
I'm very alarmed. All this time I've had diabetes and have been unaware of the dangers of having house guests. Do children raise the A1C by simple proximity? Very concerning.
I was wondering the same! I do not have diabetes personally but have lived with people who do. It must raise the A1C and cause the ability to lose appendages at an increasing rate. I'm sure the grandparents are just being cautious since it's a very contagious ailment (sarcasm) 😂
I have diabetes plus a whole load of other stuff going on. Blood pressure is the only thing I can think of that would get worse. I have visitors all the time, lol
I wonder if it might be that the kids leave little things lying around on the floor all over and increased the risk of FIL getting some minor injuries that risk more complications because of the diabetes? Or, depending on exactly how his diabetes is managed, the kids treated some of his supplies like toys.
My bet is they bullied husband throught his younger years and thought that the whole "approval craving" thing would never break - which seens like it could have, so he's also lucky to have a wife that shows him that disrespect is unaceptable
Yeah, I find it very funny. For as crazy & immature as my mom was back in the 80's I am so thankful that she raised me to not take any disrespect from people. The best thing for yourself is to walk away from those folks because all they'll do is drag you down with them. So now I enjoy watching entitled people squirm due to confrontation.
@debymello4756 Yeah. I'm convinced that he was the scapegoat child and was bullied for it as a result which is bad parenting on the part of his so called parents. Not cool. 😒
I’m so happy that OPs husband has her back. You can tell he was bullied by them growing up. They tried to groom him into being a doormat but he picked the doormat up and slapped them with it!
How does someone manage to become so entitled????? I was floored by their bizarre behavior. Where do you even begin to think that being horrible to the people housing your EIGHT CHILDREN is a good idea???????? My god, a family of 10 begging to stay in my house? With no rent? And no groceries? And run up the bills? Never. I could never, and apparently the other family members won't either, or they wouldn't have a problem housing SIL and EIGHT monster children. I am glad OP stood her ground with a tungsten spine, and the husband managed to find one too. Good on OP for making her husband clean up the used period products. That is super nasty to leave your bloody products lying around someone else's home. It's a bit annoying that he only believed his wife after he had to pick up the bloody pads, but at least it inoculated him to his family's BS.
I think its because OP is either working from home or a SAHM so that SIL feels entitled to her labour that's why she can be clean elsewhere but not at OP's. One other wife in the family is working and feels entitled to OP picking her kid from school and babysitting, while the other has a newborn. OP's husband might also have been a doormat to his family thus forcing his wife to tolerate a lot of disrespect.
Right? It’s in the bathroom he ALSO uses and then asked his wife “why did you make me do that?” But before then 100% expected her to clean it. I don’t know where some wives find the patience.
You actually see this a lot. There is the assumption that SAHPs are just sitting around available to cook and clean up after everyone. The SIL actually admitted she left the mess for OP to clean.
Ah I see what the SIL was doing. Because her own jealousy she wanted op to know her place in the pecking order/family hierarchy, basically beneath her.
Story 1: OP's inlaws have always disliked her, and I get the distinct impression her inlaws have always bullied OP's husband. That family sounds like they were actively trying to come between OP and her husband. Good riddance.
They want her husband to themselves to be their bank account again. I get the feeling he's been financially abused by them in the past and they don't like op for removing him from that situation.
So the family wanted OP to house the nasty SIL, and they also want OP to take care of their kids while also disrespecting OP and treating her like second class? Yea no, that’s some audacity. Hope the loss was worth it for them 😂
Imagine biting the hand that’s literally your LAST option from homelessness. Smh. Update: EIGHT CHILDREN?! … Oh my freaking gourd … Edit: ANOTHER ON THE WAY?!
@@stirrednotshaken4823 Some women still do bleed during pregnancy in a way that can look like a period. It's actually very common, especially during the early stages of pregnancy.

Oh yeah. Me too. The minute she said your highness, I would have said 'really?' And then said this was not going to work and got up from the negotiation table

I love it when OPs make others feel what they're making them go through. Making the husband clean up and telling the MIL her reasons apply to her too is just golden!
"Would you be able to sleep at night, knowing she would lose her job?" "Yeah." "You think you can steal from us and just walk away?!" "Yeah." Different scenario, same vibe, and I love every moment of it
"You're just jealous of me!" A quote from the practically homeless, unemployed, and financially struggling mother of 8 who has to get by jumping around between family members while maintaining her lack of basic hygiene. Yep. Who wouldn't be jealous of that
Untidiness is one thing, but to leave dirty sanitary napkins around, especially when there's a toddler in the house, that is disgusting. Also, what the hell does diabetes have to do anything? Unless the daughter and kids are shoving sugar down the dad's throat. I'm diabetic, and I don't refuse to let people visit or stay over because I'm diabetic.
What i find hilarious is that the in laws are refusing to take the bratty sister and her spawn in…but are expecting Op to do it… NTA yeah ngl i would have rescinded the invite when she said “whatever you say your highness”
The lynchpin in this whole situation is OP's MIL & FIL. If they took OP's and their son's side, all the others would fall in line. This situation continues because of them. insane.
I am so so so glad OP and her husband are on the same page. The disrespect to OP is ridiculous. And the fact the other SILs are now reaping what they sowed - that is, the fact they took the cows side when OP did them so many favors - is chefs kiss. It wont be long before they start showing their resentment toward SIL. And the sanitary products thing especially the used tampon on the sink? So so disgusting. Thats akin to leaving your shit stained TP on the bathroom sink. Only animals act this way. I wouldnt put up with that either
This is very strange. OP's SIL with the soon-to-be 9 kids sounds like she must have been criticizing OP and OP's husband for a very long time for her children to have learned a double-standard. I wonder what children's values become when their parents teach them respect for some but not for all? Nothing good - that is, selective entitlement, rudeness, and actual sabotage. How else could the menstruating daughter decided that it was okay to leave her bloody tampons for someone else to find and clean up when there's a wastebasket in the room? That's passive-aggressive behavior, since she didn't do that for the first five days. And wasting shampoo and conditioner by spilling it all over? Same thing. And for OP's parents-in-law to condone this sounds like they've given up on changing their daughter's and son-in-law's behavior but are keeping their disrespectful daughter and her catastrophe of a life at bay by using diabetes as the excuse. Very convenient. Sounds like the family with 9 kinds needs to apply for "general assisitance" from the community or they're going to end up with no family relations that are worthy of the name.
I remember this story. I went straight to the final update cause I wanted to get straight into the new drama. Edit 1: This shows how toxic someone is cause the minute they lose the convenience of you and your services they are all apologetic. If SIL is so desperate and her other “family members” won’t watch her kid then hire a babysitter or put the kid in a daycare/after school program. Edit 2: “They said “sorry” and asked me to get back to normal…..sometimes you have to put up with some negative from family as life is a lot of up and downs….” Yeah miss me with that BS. If that’s the case then MIL and FIL can take in SIL’s family and deal with the negativity. OP will be to the sidelines protecting her peace.
Yea, that “get back to normal” made me mad. Oh, you want me to bend to your will so you can continue to use me for the ungrateful family members…no thanks, I’m finally fed up!
I love how the grandparents are lying about not being able to take them in while trying to guilt trip OP and her husband for not doing the same thing. 8 kids is insane but if Grandma wants more grandchildren then they should live with her.
"He bleached the sink three times"...I'm still laughing. 10:54 "Nope. My house, my rules. Clean your own used hygiene products up yourself, properly. The general direction of the bin is not cleaned up. It's disrespectful of others". I sincerely like OP's husband. He hasn't backed down once, and has supported her all the way. He's a champ. But let's face it, it benefits him to do so too. Supporting 10 other people for free for an unspecified time must have weighed heavily on his mind lol.
NTA 💯. This is what happens when you refuse to hold yourself accountable. It's the fact sister in law has no issue being clean and respectful at someone else's home but when it comes to op she's comfortable being her nasty self. It was personal. Notice how everyone else also had their convenient excuses not to house this family. They don't want these idiots either. Sister in law is delusional if she thinks anyone is jealous of her and her nasty family. I'm shocked that CPS hasn't been clued in with this situation and these many kids involved. I would have tried to call the police if any of my in laws were crazy audacious to FOLLOW me home. Wtf. That's truly unhinged. The hypocrisy from mother and father in law. Help yourself to all of the negativity if you think selfless martyring is so easy.
I know OP didn't really specify what happened to the SIL and her family's house, but I could picture one of three things happening: 1.) maybe (if there are smokers) one of them had a lit match or cigarette and somehow the house caught on fire. 2.) might be a rented property and, due to how many people live in the house, caused a lot of property damage and got kicked out. 3.) they lived beyond their needs, fell behind on house payments, and they were forced to foreclose and / or file for bankruptcy, hence why no one wanted them to pay some semblance of rent.
I wonder what would have happened if OP didn't make her husband clean up SIL's mess in the first place. That was her most powerful argument, and he won't forget it. Good thinking there. FIL's diabetes has nothing to do with them not wanting to host SIL. Some of my family have diabetes, and it doesn't impede normal living, just their diets. That's a pitiful excuse, because SIL probably makes her mother clean up after her.
I heard this story without the final update elsewhere I'm glad OP her husband were on the same page they handled this really well. The other SILs are idiots, why would they antagonize someone they knew they would need in the future. That's some next level delusion right there and unfortunately for them OP has a rock hard shinny spine. Respect
Exactly! I was thinking this also. It the same as biting the hand that feeds you. Just how dumb can someone be. Even if the older brother's wife had apologized right after, perhaps, OP may have relented, but instead she and her husband along with the other 2 buckled down and the MOM & DAD, joined in the fray. What were they expecting. Do they NOT know who OP is? Why did they think they could emotionally blackmail her into agreeance? Just SMH.....
As soon as she sarcastically said “as you wish, your highness” I would not have had a bar of her. The OP is under NO obligation to either house the family or explain to others’ satisfaction why she cannot house them.
It legitimately sounds like this entire family, the parents, the siblings, their spouses and their childern were fairly dependent on OP and her husband, for childcare, finances, and for just a place to live, and took them for granted while also looking down on them. Now that OP’s psycho SiL’s caused the gravy train to leave the station I doubt they’ll be so wrapped around her little finger. Her spitefullness and clear jealousy and over attachment to OP’s husband has had some *severe* repercussions in their lives.
OP telling SIl that believing she's jealous of her requires suspension of reality sent me. I would marry this OP too. Her shiny titanium spine is the most beautiful thing I have seen today. Not to mention, she's hilarious.
Yea, and I would bet all the money I have that SIL put her daughter up to making the mess in the shower and told her to leave the tampon on the sink! She’s setting her daughter up for failures in life.
And on top of bin... (I remember being teen and we have toilet in bathroom but there was never bin, so I'd just put it on the floor on the wrapper when changing and then roll and take to another bin. Once i had forgotten and my dad screamed at ne furiously beign disgusting and leaving that shit on the floor) Hell i am annoyed when my husband uses last of tp and leaves the.. shell? Roll? The thingie it's wrapped around on bin instead of putting it in bin.
I was wary of OP's husband for a minute since he did at first ask OP why she threw them out, then asked why she made him clean that up, but he did clean it up and has backed her up ever since, even if there's some spots he's been 90% not 100% supportive. He passes. Edit: I said the above before the final update, he more than passes. He's good.
Well that was quite a ride. I love it when someone who is trying to be accommodating hits their limit and lays the law down. People often make the mistake of thinking that someone who plays nice (within reason) has no backbone. MIL was right about NORMAL familial "ups & downs" which is why I say that about 'playing nice' w/i reason. This went beyond that and OP made it clear at the very beginning, in front of witnesses, she was not going to put up with SIL's BS. That the rest of the family did not take OP at her word is THEIR problem.
Amazing how some see kindness as weakness. The shock on their face when you refuse kinda makes me giggle (afterwards). Users use, when you're done...you're done!
I'm only 3:47 minutes in and I'm so grossed out. What does she mean "it's only some blood" IT'S BLOOD!!! IT'S A BIOHAZARD!!! It's so important to dispose of sanitary products properly.
ok, the comment about "adding a ninth kid to the mix". wtf, are they really considering having another child when they cannot take care of the ones they have? Also, OP taking care of SIL's child, for free, for so many years, just wow. That family is one ungrateful lot. You can tell who the golden child is in that family, and it is not OP's husband. Glad he has shown his shiny spine and stood up for OP.
This sister-in-law sounds like she's got a PhD in entitlement! I mean, crashing at everyone's place and leaving a trail of chaos behind her? That's a whole new level of audacity.
As soon as SIL said "as you wish, your highness," that would be it. I'd tell her, nope, you just lost the deal, eff off. Of course, easy for me to say that, but sheesh OP is a LOT more patient than I would ever be and I've always thought of myself as a freakin' pushover. wait... EIGHT CHILDREN?!?!? And a ninth on the way? I'm all for individual rights but there oughta be a law. People 👏 Shouldn't👏Be👏Having👏Offspring👏They👏Can't👏Afford👏To👏Keep!!!!!!
Shiniest spine I’ve seen on here. I love this couple! They will absolutely go the distance in their marriage because they are united in the minor and major things. It’s the hardest to stand up to family pressure and husband did not fail. Respect.
Wow. I am utterly exhausted after just listening to all that. I'm so happy that OP and her husband are a TEAM. They back each other up and are stronger that way. It is amazing how the husband's entire family picked on them to try and manipulate them into taking care of the sister. That is ridiculous!!! They did that because THEY don't those people in THEIR houses. Unbelievable sense of entitlement. And that niece needs to learn some hygiene.
What kind of substances are these people on that take them to such a different reality where they can just step in and take over OP's house like that? The whole family except for OP's husband sound like they're crazier than a garbage bag full of laughing gas. I believe we have not heard the last of OP because these people will be back. I foresee police and a restraining order.
My mom and I had to move in with a Granny (she adopted my Mom when my Mom and Grannys daughter worked together). She was nasty. She was a hoarder. Breed finches (birds) and I was made to clean everything. She never cleaned the kitchen (it was nasty, food left out, pots/pans left with food in it, stuff going bad, stains left to harden, just bad) I had to use a rainbow vaccum (if you know you know) to clean the bird cages and the rest of the house (4 bed rooms, 2 bathroom, large room attached to a bedroom, front room, tv room, dinning room) had to take clean the African Grey cage, remind my Granny to check her wash (she left clothes in the washer/dryer for days). My house is a little dirty; I keep everything clean but at the same time I hate cleaning. For years I was forced to clean up a house that I wasnt even allowed to be in so to speak. My Granny abused me and my Mom and was a manipulative B. I hate cleaning but I also want a clean house because of the trash I lived in. ... yeah I may need to talk to someone lol 😅
@@DemonAngel I feel you. Didn’t have it nearly as bad as you but grew up in a messy chaotic home and after my little bro died a few years ago my parents lost it completely, were living in squalor. I’d been living on the other side of the country and when I returned to see the condition of our family home I wept and wept and wept - the house itself was no less than grief made manifest. I spent the next many months cleaning out and repairing the home, successfully returning it to livability before kinda losing my shit myself. Every day was a struggle, keeping them from killing each other as I fought them over every trinket, tool, and roll of tape, and hinted and fought vermin every night. And just when I had things mostly sorted, my father’s heart literally burst from grief on my little brother’s birthday (also the anniversary of my other brother’s death from the same bridge 15years earlier), he had a debilitating stroke during emergency heart surgery, leaving me as caregiver to a paralyzed father. It’s like I boosted them out of this pit of despair on my shoulders, but now I’m stuck myself, and every day the sides are falling in on me and I can’t get out.

“I told him that no matter what I wouldn’t agree to let her, her snobby husband and her horde of eight children back in.” Holy crow! EIGHT CHILDREN??? SIL should have been falling over herself to make sure OP’s house was kept clean. Allowing a family of TEN to move in is no small matter. Even if it was one child that would be a lot. But eight? And then she purposely disrespected OP after being let in? SIL is insane. Part of the post said the family members paid for their food and utilities. OF TEN PEOPLE. They should be on their knees with gratitude, rather than acting entitled.
As I was listening to the first half I was thinking to myself "This sounds like like the OP was a SAHM and the SIL resents this". A lot of people thing SAHPs are just sitting around eating bon bons and should be available to instant child care on demand. I was not surprised when she brought it up later.
Omg, OP (and her husband, his brothers, as well as husbands, 2 brothers-wives) need to learn this phrase... 'that's a shame, princess' condescending tone optional for when talking to entitled princess and her mother. So disgusting how they golden child her for her entire life (how else does one get that entitled) and blame diabetes on why they 'can't help' when they get their consequences. Diabetes omfg man... both my parents have diabetes and are always there for their kids and grandchildren mind blown. They've all made a rod for their own backs by spoiling this brat rotten, and as a mother; she's well old enough to know better.
They messed around and found out. Losing a job, help and financial assistance was the consequences of their actions. They need to learn to saying don't bite the hand that feeds you. Wonder how long before everyone starts blaming the sister for the whole affair.
If I'm reading the room right... never. OP will always be the witch with a capital B that didn't help "her" struggling family when everyone else had "real" reasons not to
What respectable adult woman thinks its perfectly acceptable to leave their bloody mess in somebody else's bathroom and the manage to muster up the audacity to be upset about the person being upset. What's anword worse than narcissist? She is that.
I'm just glad OP's hubby is on her side. These stories tend to go the other way (partner defending the extended family instead of their spouse and children), so it's nice to see they're a team and it's an "us vs. the problem" situation
O.M.G. OP, you are da best! You & your husband have titanium spines! You're my heroes! 👏👏👏💞 why is GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION so RARE among families like this?
After OP and her husband have helped a lot the sister-in-law and her family but only to be shown with shamelessness, arrogance, entitlement, the blaming and guilt tripping. So OP is very right in this situation; why would she help those ungrateful people who doesn't have the discipline to follow a simple set of house rules. I also had a similar situation like this since I live in a quite huge house with my family and have helped people temporary live in over the years but since the Incident during COVID-19 pandemic as it was awful so won't ever let other people live in on our house.
At one or two points throughout the story, I would think "Maybe OP and her husband are being a bit petty in their attitudes" (still reasonable to not want host), but then I remember the period blood, and immediately return to their side. As someone who has periods, I already hate cleaning up my OWN blood. I would rather die than have to clean up SOMEONE ELSE'S period blood.
If anyone is jealous or doesn't like someone it's SIL! With other family members shes neat and clean. When they get to OPs house she turns into an entitled slob who doesn't give a frik about boundaries.

IKR?! I snorted when SIL said op was jealous
@@Gamerchick2030hahahaha that pull out game made me laugh.
Shes delusional ! That dummy is homeless couch surfing but op is jealous ? 🙄
"SIL hates OP more than she loves her brother"
I think this is the part that gets me the most.
Oh yeah you have a good point there
Honestly the sil tried to mend fences but OP is no longer able to step back because the sloppy sil was so awful to her.
Agreed. Dirt bags are nothing if not consistent. 🤨
Nah she clearly is doing it on purpose. She probably is clean but is purposely disgusting and rude to upset OP
You notice how the other two brothers conveniently had excuses for why they couldn’t house them for more than a week or two? 🤔 They didn’t want 10 extra people in their homes either!
You're probably right. Weakness cultivates weakness. Except for OP and her adamantium spine.
Pathetic.
Yup. Bad parenting at its finest ladies and gentlemen.
„Don't bite the hand that feeds you“ fits here very well
Agreed. SIL learned the lesson - "F Around and Find Out!" 😅
@@lancerevell5979 Absolutely
@@TheTrueKarin Absolutely. This couldn't be a better time to say that.
Yep
More like "don't continuously bite the hand that continuously feeds you"
8 kids! Even if they were being great houseguests, I can see why her family keeps making excuses for why they can't stay.
Who has time or the money for 8 kids!!??
@@Midnight0Mistress Apparently not the SIL and her husband...
Not cleaning up when it was fairly simple to handle and then doubling down when called out is mind boggling. I do love the diabetes as an excuse for the FIL and MIL to not take them. Clearly, the kids are running wild and the GPs don't want to deal with it either.
@@Midnight0Mistress Not them, clearly.
And it was op said that a 9th kid is on the way
Hold up they’re couch surfing with 8 children? They also fucked around and found out by breaking OP’s 1 rule
People need to stop having kids they can’t care for.
YES
Damn. Imagine destroying your family because you won't clean up after yourself.
It's not that they can't. It's more of a power move. She wants to assert dominates over OP. She thinks her brother is a coward and if she can force OP out with her little power play then they'd have a permanent place to stay.
@@Mew_Mokuba_Akari Well, SIL's little power play backfired spectacularly, didn't it?
Yes YES! Finally a husband with a shiny spine
Depends on how sweet the kids are? Which, by the sound of it, means FIL isn't actually in any danger in their presence. 🤣
Yeah my mum has diabetes I better warn her about this too 😂
I have diabetes plus a whole load of other stuff going on.
I don't get people who are assholes to people they depend on.
My bet is they bullied husband throught his younger years and thought that the whole "approval craving" thing would never break - which seens like it could have, so he's also lucky to have a wife that shows him that disrespect is unaceptable
Pure entitlement and a narcissism
I have lost count of the number of times my sister has done similar things to my family
Not cool. 😒
I found this more common in rich countries where people are allowed to run their mouth unguarded.
Making her husband clean up the bloody tampons was genius. 100% won him over with no conversation required.
I’m so happy that OPs husband has her back. You can tell he was bullied by them growing up. They tried to groom him into being a doormat but he picked the doormat up and slapped them with it!
Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the scapegoat child growing up. Thank goodness for OP. ❤
@@PrincessQ-fj9ly I think you hit the nail on the head! I’m happy they really support each other. I hope they have a long and happy marriage 😭❤️
Because of OP! She is strong and he feels empowered by her. Couples influence each other and they are a good couple.
Probably expected her brother to reign OP in. the smartest thing she did was make him clean things up, if not he might not have been on her side.
SIL is only daughter so my money is that she was spoiled and golden child. And ofc has been popping out kids for grandma.
OP is not wrong!! My sister is like this! Mom just kicked her out for the final time at 41 years old. Don't let those people back in!
Ah I see what the SIL was doing. Because her own jealousy she wanted op to know her place in the pecking order/family hierarchy, basically beneath her.
But.... in OP's home, OP is top hen! 😂
That actually makes sense.
Shes also mad OP isnt a pushover like her husband and makes him stop being a pushover.
Well, sorry Princess Brat in law. That's not how it works. OP and brother's house, OP and brother's rules.
Story 1: OP's inlaws have always disliked her, and I get the distinct impression her inlaws have always bullied OP's husband. That family sounds like they were actively trying to come between OP and her husband. Good riddance.
Yeah I’m getting black sheep vibes 💀 and OP knows how to stand her ground, that does not sit well with a family of narcissists
Hope the loss was worth it for them 😂
and they all had convenient excuses not to house them.
"Her body her choices." Yeah? Well then, her body her consequences
Imagine biting the hand that’s literally your LAST option from homelessness. Smh.
Update: EIGHT CHILDREN?! … Oh my freaking gourd …
Edit: ANOTHER ON THE WAY?!
It just occurred to me that if SILis pregnant, how did she have a bloody sanitary pad?
They're wannabe Duggars
Yeah. If I were OP, I'd consider having CPS on speed dial for Golden Brat's poor children.
At first I thought OP was exaggerating. 8 kids?!
But then it results that nope, she wasn't exaggerating
@@stirrednotshaken4823 Some women still do bleed during pregnancy in a way that can look like a period. It's actually very common, especially during the early stages of pregnancy.

That was my reaction. If it were me, I'd have said, "You know what? Invitation revoked."
Oh yeah. Me too. The minute she said your highness, I would have said 'really?' And then said this was not going to work and got up from the negotiation table

Well done by OP and her husband. Healthy relationships will always require healthy boundaries.
I wish I could play mouse when everybody contacts Sil for the things Op did and know expect her todo. for free understandly 🤣🤣🤣
"Would you be able to sleep at night, knowing she would lose her job?"
"Yeah."
"You think you can steal from us and just walk away?!"

It's absolutely hilarious when people who bite the hand that feeds them get their comeuppance!
What i find hilarious is that the in laws are refusing to take the bratty sister and her spawn in…but are expecting Op to do it…
NTA yeah ngl i would have rescinded the invite when she said “whatever you say your highness”
"Rules for thee, not for me" 😅
About time there was a story where the husband didn't suck and actually backed up their wife/partner.
Omg 8 kids. Stop having kids if you can’t afford it.
Sister in law ducked up and found out. Great job OP stand your ground ❤
Edit 3: I knew this was going to end in NC with the family.
I guess cleaning up bloody pads and tampons got to hubby.. eyes are finally opened! I’m sorry that’s just plain disgusting
He also cleaned the bathrooms...good for OP for making him do it. It helped him realise how crappy and exploitative his family was.
It's so nice to finally see an OP with a shiny strong spine from the start of the story 😭👏
Finally, an OP and spouse with some backbone!!
I know OP didn't really specify what happened to the SIL and her family's house, but I could picture one of three things happening:
1.) maybe (if there are smokers) one of them had a lit match or cigarette and somehow the house caught on fire.
OP handled the in-laws like a boss. My chin stayed on the ground at her responses. The lady is my hero-although I have wonderful in-laws. 😊
The power of entitlement should not be underestimated.
Ugh leaving ones bloodied sanitarys out is so revolting 🤢
I wouldn't put up with that either
As soon as she sarcastically said “as you wish, your highness” I would not have had a bar of her.
The OP is under NO obligation to either house the family or explain to others’ satisfaction why she cannot house them.
Don't side against the sister in law who provides essential and unpaid babysitting!
Who the heck thinks it’s okay to leave a used sanitory towel sitting around? It’s a natural function sure, but so is pooping!
Once i had forgotten and my dad screamed at ne furiously beign disgusting and leaving that shit on the floor)
Hell i am annoyed when my husband uses last of tp and leaves the.. shell?
Teamwork and boundaries for the win! Go OP and Hubby! With 8 kids, you know SIL was going to try to get squatter's rights.
That last update satisfies my soul!!!!!
It is a woman's choice to do with her body as she wishes, but it's her responsibility to accept those consequences from those choices
I love a story where a husband and wife are a true team.
ok, the comment about "adding a ninth kid to the mix". wtf, are they really considering having another child when they cannot take care of the ones they have? Also, OP taking care of SIL's child, for free, for so many years, just wow. That family is one ungrateful lot. You can tell who the golden child is in that family, and it is not OP's husband. Glad he has shown his shiny spine and stood up for OP.
Nobody takes advantage of you quite like family.
Yep, there are no worse words than, "But... but.... FAMILY!" 😮
This sister-in-law sounds like she's got a PhD in entitlement! I mean, crashing at everyone's place and leaving a trail of chaos behind her? That's a whole new level of audacity.
A wonderfully satisfying story, LG!

Shiniest spine I’ve seen on here. I love this couple! They will absolutely go the distance in their marriage because they are united in the minor and major things. It’s the hardest to stand up to family pressure and husband did not fail. Respect.
Imagine thinking someone is jealous of you when you have nine children and are homeless.
Who has the space to house a couple with 8 kids! 😱
Seems OPs husband had a wake up call when he cleaned up the mess Sil left behind and developed a sparkly shining spine
Wow! Even after all the crap that OP’s husband’s family have been pulling, they still have the audacity to keep asking for favors from OP.

As I was listening to the first half I was thinking to myself "This sounds like like the OP was a SAHM and the SIL resents this". A lot of people thing SAHPs are just sitting around eating bon bons and should be available to instant child care on demand. I was not surprised when she brought it up later.
9 kids when you don`t even have a house? Those people need better priorities
EIGHT children?! WTF is wrong with people?!
9 kids is irresponsible from every angle I can think of.
Who needs enemies with these kinds of in laws???
There is a very good reason that the brothers and wives kick them out and the reason are full of lies.
Do not disrespect and abuse the kindness of others. You are owed almost nothing in life.
Bloody hell. If I had family like that, I'd pack up move and leave no forwarding address.
lol With 8 children in the house, I think it's FIL's blood pressure that's going through the roof not his A1C.
Imagine the increase in bills and grocery fees too. They were all paying while housing SIL and her whole gang.
They messed around and found out. Losing a job, help and financial assistance was the consequences of their actions.
They need to learn to saying don't bite the hand that feeds you.
Wonder how long before everyone starts blaming the sister for the whole affair.
If I'm reading the room right... never. OP will always be the witch with a capital B that didn't help "her" struggling family when everyone else had "real" reasons not to
Wow! The audacity!
Glad OP and husband stood up and told them what for!
What respectable adult woman thinks its perfectly acceptable to leave their bloody mess in somebody else's bathroom and the manage to muster up the audacity to be upset about the person being upset. What's anword worse than narcissist? She is that.
The family jus want op to take her in because they will be forced to have her otherwise.
I love the spine power the OP and her hubby have. Keep it strong queen!
I'm just glad OP's hubby is on her side.
These stories tend to go the other way (partner defending the extended family instead of their spouse and children), so it's nice to see they're a team and it's an "us vs. the problem" situation
Actually Diabetes is no excuse to have kids in the house in laws can shut up and take them in
O.M.G. OP, you are da best! You & your husband have titanium spines! You're my heroes! 👏👏👏💞
why is GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION so RARE among families like this?
After OP and her husband have helped a lot the sister-in-law and her family but only to be shown with shamelessness, arrogance, entitlement, the blaming and guilt tripping. So OP is very right in this situation; why would she help those ungrateful people who doesn't have the discipline to follow a simple set of house rules.
I also had a similar situation like this since I live in a quite huge house with my family and have helped people temporary live in over the years but since the Incident during COVID-19 pandemic as it was awful so won't ever let other people live in on our house.
I've never been this earlier before, anywho I hope everyone had a blessed week 🎉
This woman is an inspiration! I love her shiny shiny spine!!!
This is one of the best ever! I admire and am envious of OP's shiny titanium spine! And loads of respect for her supportive, no nonsense hubby. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
