I’m here in 2024 to say this is probably my favorite song and it has been for months now. I’ve listened to many artists (not even just Kpop), and yet for some reason this song is always at the top of my Spotify on repeat playlist. YALL HERE'S A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO WOODZ AKA CHO SEUNGYOUN. Known as an all rounder after he popularized this term in kpop from his self-made lyrics on his YES OR NO performance on PRODUCE X 101. He's the main rapper of boy group UNIQ (hiatus) and the main vocalist of X1 (disbanded). He promoted as soloist under the name LUIZY before with RECIPE and BABY RIDE, then he changed his solo stage name to WOODZ with POOL, DIFFERENT, and MEANINGLESS. WOODZ returned with his first mini album EQUAL with the title track LOVE ME HARDER (tbh all of his track is title track worthy so yeah), returned with his second mini album WOOPS with BUMP BUMP as the title track and came back with a single album SET with FEEL LIKE last march, also released 2 osts in 2021, There for you (Monthly Magazine Home OST) and SUN OR SUCK (EXchange OST), and another single LULLABY. I'm telling you he's not called all rounder for nothing. He's a great rapper with godly + heavenly vocal and also doing really great in dancing, fyi he's a dance major graduate from hanlim (we'll see more since he didn't use his hand mic this time to focus more on the choreography i'm telling you to prepare yourself

This guy keeps releasing masterpieces and I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over again, but I can't stop talking about how amazingly talented he is! This album is just as amazing as everything he's done before! This song and his sound overall are unique and addicting, and his voice is beyond beautiful. But I really want to focus on his acting skills here. The entire MV is a gorgeous multilayered cinematic piece of art and his acting is so convincing. If I were a film director in Korea, I'd cast him for a big role this instant! The insanity he portrayed in that mirror scene felt so real, it made my skin crawl. I know he keeps saying he's not that good nor very interested in acting, but his talent is impossible to ignore, I just hope he knows that. He's so special, there's literally no one who does it like him. No one.

From composing the songs, writing lyrics, giving out the ideas for album concept to acting in the mv WOODZ did it all by himself. I’m so proud of him so much like so much that I couldn’t describe. OLL is definitely another album with no skip songs, all the songs are title songs and masterpieces.

I‘m actually ashamed that I only found out now that he has a new comeback… I absolutely loved Feel Like and this song is even better! One of the best solo artists right now (in my opinion).

I think "WOODZ-pop" is a wonderful music that is loved by people. It covers various genres that are not bound by the framework of Kpop, and should be able to fly to the world with wonderful performances and unique singing voices.

my personal opinion This song has a western vibe. It's a really charming genre of music. I'm not over compliment because WOODZ is my bias but this song is deserve attention by everybody because this song so cool. I've never heard of him, is he some new artist? But, geez, that deserves a lot more recognition. It's the first time I've heard it and it's definitely become one of my favorites of the day, I'll add it to my playlist!
he actually debuted in 2014 in a group called uniq but he's currently a solo artist!
WOODZ's (aka Cho Seungyoun) original group UNIQ from 2014 was put on hiatus a few years ago so he's promoting as a soloist now instead. He debuted as UNIQ's main rapper and he was also a main vocal in X1 in 2019.
WOODZ self-produces his music and he's put out 4 solo albums since June 2020! (plus some other singles prior and he also released a single last month called Lullaby alongside his documentary). I'd recommend checking out the rest of this album Only Lovers Left too. It has 2 title tracks and 4 b-sides that are title worthy too. 3 songs are in Korean and the other 3 are in English for his international fans (English title track is Kiss of Fire).
P.S. his main MVs are on uploaded here on the distributor's channel but you can find them all more easily through his official channel 'WOODZ' as well as Live Clips for a number of his other songs and his other content
@ilkldme they show up in a OLL album playlist in the "albums and singles" section at the very bottom of the home and playlist tabs on WOODZ channel but yeah I agree it's too hard to find.
I don't think audio only tracks usually show up in the main uploads section in the videos tab (I assume because they are directly uploaded to UA-cam music?) but they should at least have put the OLL album playlist near the top (not just the separate OLL playlist that has the mv/teaser/bts because that's confusing).
Plus they could have put the MV in both playlists too instead of a separate audio file for Waiting in the album playlist, they did that for his previous albums with the MVs in the Music Video playlist and album playlist. But I mean it's Yuehua in charge of it not WOODZ so I'm not surprised by the inconsistency :/
He debuted as a soloist in 2016 actually under Yuehua enterteinment with 2 rap singles and before his redebut in 2020 he also produced some wonderful masterpieces like Different, Pool and Meaningless (which always makes me cry sincerely). He's an all rounder artist and he totally deserve more recognition. He had to face a long path to come where he is now and the fact that he always put his hard work in the things he loves is the confirmation of why all his songs are so powerful and full of emotions.
