He's already born and alive. His name is Muhammad ibne Hassan a.s and has been in a state of occultation for the past 1200 years.
Hadith e Nabwi is that there will be 12 Khalifas from me and all of them will be from the Quraysh. Imam Muhammad Mehdi a.s is the 12th Imam. He will exit his occultation when the world gets filled with injustice and tyranny.
It started with Muhammad saw and it will end with Muhammad a.s
