- In the midst of the NBA season, the stars get a majority of the coverage. MVP Candidates like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, as well as stars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and more, are easily the most talked about players. Due to this, a lot of guys fly under the radar and more casual fans don't recognize how impactful these players can be on a nightly basis. So today, I want to break down one of the most underrated players for every single NBA team to show these guys some love. Let's talk about it.

Appreciate Sabonis while we have him. The man is averaging 20 points, leading the NBA in rebounds per game AND total rebounds (and it’s not particularly close), 8 and a half assists, with a steal and half a block per game. All that while shooting a 60/40 split. He’s unbelievably good, we should be talking about him in MVP conversations.
Sabonis not making the all star team was one of the most abysmal snubs and ridiculous jokes i've seen in pro sports accolades.
The guy is legit top 7 on the MVP ladder, all star voting is broken.
Y’all say this every year as if the All Star game is not a popularity contest. Before the voting Sabonis wasn’t even playing better than PG or Kawhii before the break

It’s really not that deep
Sabonis is one of the most consistent players in the league right now. It's like even when he has a seemingly bad game, you can see what he put up in the box scores (yes I know stats aren't everything but still)
The thing is he NEVER has a bad rebounding game. He's insanely gifted at that. Especially considering he's only 6'10" with a short wingspan. His fundamentals and strength or next level when it comes to rebounding.

Vassell is a baller. He puts some of the toughest shots I've ever seen and makes them at good rate. Definitely the kind of player who could score at will.
In the midst of tv hosts, and so many youtubers, talking about "who's legacy will be more affected if they don't win the
chip", "which team won't even make it to the playoffs", "who is the goat", to shout-out valuable underappreciated
players (sometimes by the very own fans) is very refreshing and much appreciated.

podziemski isn’t really underrated if you’re a warriors fan. We’ve loved him since the draymond ejection. If you want an underrated player on the warriors. Moses Moody is really underrated. He’s only recently been getting minutes since wiggins was out for a few games, and he’s really stepped up. He’s a solid defender and a great shooter. He’s really hitting his stride with Steve Kerr giving him 20+ minutes recently
If feels like this argument can be made for a lot of the young Warriors - Podz, Moody, TJD and even Kuminga at one point. 00 finally has a large enough role that he can no longer be considered underrated. Lately Moody has been trapped at the backend of Kerr's rotation, waiting for an injury or opportunity to get more minutes. It's good that he's starting to get some time in the spotlight

DLo is awesome and i'm so happy he's found a consistent role. the reason he's so underrated is because he's never had consistency around him. I also think him being in LA for more than 2 years will give him the space and freedom to evolve further. He has so much potential.
Love Devin Vassell and that’s definitely a good pick, but another truly underrated player on this team is Blake Wesley. He doesn’t put up the greatest stats, but his defense and willingness to pass to any open player cannot be overstated. From last year, being a tunnel, vision guy like Keldon Johnson, to being a really good playmaker.
Calling Jaylen Brown underrated is a bit crazy. People hype him up all the time plus he makes an absurd amount of money.
I'd say this season specifically he's been underrated. Personally I've seen far more people talking about KP, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday
U thinking he makes too much money is part of the reason he just happens to have the most recent contract resigning but others will surpass his number he deserved that much
this season he has been forgotten, most people think of tatum, porzingis, derrick white and than brown

As a sixers fan i really appreciate that ricky buckets pick. He really has been amazing this year but Nick Nurse just decided to stop playing him recently
Mo Wagner would also be an underrated option for the Magic. When you look at his little minutes it's crazy what he is putting up
There is a hilarious phenomenon where people think Sabonis is a "dirty player" because people see their team's center get moved around in the paint like they've never seen because Sabonis is so freakishly strong. They don't understand it so they say he's shouldering/elbowing/ etc. Timberwolves fans were coping harder than I've ever seen after Sabonis sonned Gobert

I think Luguentz Dort is a very underrated player for my Oklahoma City Thunder, his defense is by far his biggest attribute but he also has scoring ability which is something Andre Roberson could never do before him lol

I wouldn't put the blame on the guy whose job is to get buckets for himself and his teammates, the blame should be on the FO for failing to put enough positive defenders around them (Josh Green is not a good defender and PJ Washington is above average at best)

Jaylen Brown had definitely been flying under the radar this year. Heard Thinking Basketball say he’s the 5th most important Celtic when I’d argue he’s 2nd or 3rd at worst behind JT and KP. He’s been the leader of the team and brought great energy every night. Worth all 300Ms on that contract imo.
