Excellent finds! There’s some really good Silurian trilobite fossils near my home. I just uploaded a video of the last trilobite hunt. Possibly even found an example of courtship behavior! There’s 2 molts right together anyway 🤷🏻♂️😂 oh man I’d have taken that cephalopod. Thanks so much for braving the flies to share this with us 👍🏽
Thanks alot for the kind words! :D I'm really glad you like it. I'll definitely take a look at that video! I saw another one the other day where you were out hunting with @wildkyle amongst others if I'm not mistaken?? 😁 Lovely finds! Lol.. those cephalopods are very abundant here. ;) Cheers.
The peltura specimen found in the oily glabella rubble might display scavenging behavior…feeding within the dead and disarticulated “head” rubble accumulation. Maybe an example of sudden entrapment during scavenging.
Could be perhaps! I'm leaning towards a molt gone wrong though. Seems like the old shed had stuck and the trilobite died during the molting process. It looks like the top of the shell has come off a bit on the right cheek. The molting often started with the sutures of the cephalon opening up first and the trilobite then crawled out of the old shell. Cheers!
There are formations of the Cambrian and Ordovician exposed in different parts of the country but mostly on the southwest and southeast regions. This location is the part called "Västergötland". Cheers!
Thanks a lot! I've got a few requests like this before and it's not out of the question but I need to sort through my collection first and see if I have any for trade. I'll get back to you if I find som stuff I might let go of. Cheers!
So cool to se some swe videos of fossil hunting for a beginner like my self ! Great work!
Beautiful specimens you have. Would love to see a segment of your entire collection. Thanks so much for sharing.

Nice video - Nice finds . Can you tell me where in Sweden it is - or is it your secret hunting ground 🙂? thank you
Thanks! Glad you like it. As it's on private property I can't disclose the location out of respect for the landowner. Cheers.

I would be interested to know where in Sweden you found these rocks and fossils.

Why are there so many flies???
Good question.. It's a kind of a swampy area so I guess they thrive in that spot.. 🤷♂️
Bro you literally found a Livin trilobites at 7:01
?
Vart är du? Gotland? Jag bor på Gotland, så här finns det fossiler. 😂🦄
Jag håller till på fastlandet men har varit på Gotland ett par gånger. Blir fler turer framöver hoppas jag. :)
Get a rock saw or something, I cringed so hard when you hit and fracture the shell on what was a really nice Nileus trilobite.
Lol.. Sorry! If it wasn't already so beat up from the beginning I wouldn't have hit it like that. :)
wish the music was turned off, so annoying when you speaking
I've turned down the volume on later videos and I'll have it in mind for the future. Thanks. 👍
