Very informative mate. We actually ordered the new version of the part. I now have the part you've shown. I watched a video that says to remove the glove box and side panel to the centre console to to the thr end of the red and black wires. Still can't see them after all that. Might just to it your way from behind the dash as that's how we located the other part of the resistor.
Благодаря за видеото азаз стщо разглобих всичко и после се наложи да го сглобя отново защото тези два кабела червен и черен са недостъпни,сега съм поръчал нов резистор и ще го отмонтирам по вашия начин
You can get to the power plug. Open glove box, open fuse box, and pop fuse box out from its hinge. Pop a phone camera through the hole to snap a pic of where the plug is, and the orientation. You can get your hand in to remove the plug, if it won't budge you can make a lasso from wire. Feeding replacement through from the top you can manoever it into the socket.
Excellent, very helpful. I had the same issue as you - bought a replacement resistor unit but the red and black cables dont look easy to remove without dismantling the whole dash,

Good work Martin. I'm maintaining my 2004 Grand Scenic II myself, and yes it's a challenge! 😂

Nice one dude
The wires on mine seem too short to pull it out that far ?
