When you're sad, mark it in your calendar. You might start to notice a monthly pattern. If so, it's likely hormonal.
this seriously needs to be talked about more. it makes me really sad how many years i wondered why my emotions were seemingly wildly swinging all the time before i connected it to monthly hormonal shifts. cycles seem to only ever be spoken about in a negative light so i think it discourages people from leaning into it (which we should!!)

to the last voicemail girl questioning about right person wrong time: im also 24 and i was in a relationship for 5 years since i was 16 til 21 and it was on and off because he would keep breaking up with me for no reason and i felt like crap the entire time. We always think its the right person when we get in a relationship with someone, but when the breakup happens and we spend time single and alone and we learn things about ourselves we come to the conclusion that maybe that was not the right person afterall. A year later i met my now boyfriend and let me tell you, when you meet "the one" you can truly feel in your heart that they are THE right person, without doubt. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

Kelsey you are so cute ilysm, you might be feeling the effects of almost every other planet being in retrograde! mercury ended its retrograde about 2 weeks ago, but there are many other planets retrograding in the sign of libra, and you having some placements in libra which could be making you feel it a little more than others! regardless, your feelings are so valid and having off weeks is totally normal, even without taking the stars into account
I used to work at Starbucks and I perfected my go-to fall drink. You should try a grande oat milk latte with one pump of pumpkin and one pump of vanilla. It’s perfect. Not too much pumpkin, not too sweet. It’s!!! Soo!!!! Good!!!

Hi Kelsey, my boyfriend and I recently went long distance and the fall so far has been hard because we used to always do fun fall activities together. I think I am also going to make a bucket list of things I can do by myself this fall. ❤️
If the office mattress ever needs a new home I have two dogs that would love to have a bigger bed.. the queen bed has become too small for the four of us😜

I'm the same way about having "fall" stuff at the right moment!!! Like it's still 100 out here in Arizona like I can't drink a pumpkin spice latte if it's 100 and then by the time I have it it's almost Christmas time

I'm from New England but live in Colorado now, New England foliage will always be the best. One of the few things I miss about the east, if y'all have the chance at some point in your life visit Vermont/ New Hampshire in the fall. Its unreallll

my friend went thru something in a similar type vein to first voicemail. She kinda jumped into this this w this guy pretty quickly, but she is now having thoughts that the emotional connection is there but that she isn’t attracted to him anymore (even went as far to say she’s like a good bit more attractive than him). Been friends w them for a while and I feel like they get along well, are similar looks-wise. I think the way it relates to the 1st point is that being around people a lot (whether dating or friendship) can sort of break down some of the deification that we do to people we like.
In the first voicemail, she is not comfortable around guys she likes, but is comfortable around people she might not be attracted to. Think part of that attraction (esp when we are younger, and even more now with social media and the idealized image culture) comes from viewing that person you like as something more than a human, someone worthy of praise based on a glimpse of who they are. Think its important to remember that the people you are attracted to are probably similar to your friends! They like the same hobbies, do similar things, study similar subjects, etc.
The more connections you make between your crushes and your friends, the more you see both as more level. You become more comfortable around the people you like, you maybe perceive more romantic potential in some friendships, etc. Think it all starts in recognizing the fundamental humanity of people, which while easy to talk about can be hard to implement during things like “ick” culture

I've been going through this feeling too and I hear about more people I know every day who have been feeling exceptionally shitty for no specific reason, just freaking weird and annoying tbh lol.

think a big thing w the kittens is setting boundaries, esp w stuff like getting on the table. scare them a little when they do something wrong (ex. get on table) instead of lightly scolding them in a nice voice. do it a few times and then thy stop doing it😊
Hii Kelsey. I just want to say that I didn’t, right off the bat, love the podcast but I think this episode converted me! I’ve always looked forward to your vlogs because I feel like the vibe is so chill and authentic. It’s oddly comforting to watch. And they’re weirdly funny as well. With the podcast, I was so hyped when you announced it but the first few episodes seemed a little too slow and mellow (for my personal liking). I kept feeling a little impatient. But I feel like you’re getting more comfortable as you’re continuing it? I didn’t properly listen after like episode 2 and I kept trying to give it a chance but nothing clicked for me. I loved this episode though. I love listening to your life updates and I feel like the advice segment at the end was great as well. I can see you’re feeling less nervous overall and able to tell us your thoughts + stories with more ease, precision and comfort. I’m glad I continued to give it a chance and this just shows that everyone always continues to get better at things and find their rhythm. Also for sure, this set up (on your couch) is so much more cozy and fun as opposed to the studio. Best of luck ❤️

Life is a matter of choices. It is not about timing, but truly about the choices you make and how you react to them. I truly believe that some people think their life path will get better as they go and once they cannot make the required sacrifice anymore or they realize they will finally not have more, they then come back to the best choice they should have taken prior in their life. This is all bullshit and pure selfishness...I would never speak to that person ever again. Assume your stupid choices, especially if they fully come from you.
