HAHAHAHAHA I laughed so hard when I saw that title. I sincerely applaud the ability of an individual to be creative and adapt to the nature of UA-cam, so this is a big thumbs up from me. Keep evolved content like this coming and you'll surely grow. A breakdown of Animenz's Unravels (Ver.1 and 2) in which you compare them would probably get loads of attention too, so I hope you'd consider that. Good luck, dude!
Loved the review man, you verbalized a lot of details that make Animenz's performance stand out. Also, I assume those are my sheets that you printed? ;) Good luck with learning this beast of an arrangement!
Finally, a knowledgeable and charismatic individual who I can watch react to piano performances without my IQ dropping by 100 points. WattKeys community anipiano podcast when? 😛
you explained my thoughts so well. I couldn't understand what I was thinking whenever I heard his arrangement. he had this sort of "touch" in his arrangements that make it much more sophisticated from a regular pianist. Whenever I tried to play his other simpler arrangements, it just did not sound the same despite the notes being pressed correctly
So I finally watched this. Amazing analysis man!!! Really makes you appreciate Animenz even more! Can't wait for more of such videos! It would be awesome if you could also review Pianeet's legendary arrangement of AKIBA-POP the Future! The more often I listen to it, the more I realize just how incredible it is!
Both great pianists competing my fav animenz arrangement of all time?! Really looking forward to that!!!! Also, your review is better than "someone" I have watched ;)
WOW as a self taught pianist and still a beginner, it's awesome to see a broken down analysis! I've tried to teach myself how to play his pieces, but they were TOO HARD because I don't understand classical at all, but your insights add a little bit to my box of knowledge!
Learning Animenz pieces and still consider yourself a beginner? You must be very dedicated because the technique is so difficult but there’s also this anime musicality thats like “When the opening starts playing during the final fight” which is so hard to produce.
Can't say I'm near the level of practicing his arrangements, but this was really helpful to keep in mind as a somewhat new piano player. I hadn't considered the depth of technique and planning that goes into some of the things you mentioned like his weight distribution, voicing, and dynamic control. Keep it up!
I really like this review! The way you explain could be understandable for me that's not a classical pianist. Would really like to see more of your reviews on other arrangements.
really appreciating the variety of content you put out. you have the know-how to do these kinds of videos (and a good voice to go along with it). this analysis has been a great watch. keep up the great work, you are gonna make it big!
Ahhh I'm so excited for you and Winter's performances!! (´▽`ʃƪ) Ganbatte both of you, it'll be difficult to decide since both of you have such similar, advanced skill level. Also will you make a vote or just...?
Winter will probably smoke me haha. And we haven't decided yet. Probably just a vote (hopefully one of us hits 1000 subs by then so we can do community posts XD)
Awesome video dude, it's always such a pleasure listening to you ;) I have been aware of the importance of weight for a while now but it kinda went forgotten lol. It's so true that is incredibly easy to produce a harsh and ugly sound when playing loud and with higher tempo (even on my digital piano). It currently causes me lots of trouble on a piece I'm working on, so I should definitely see if I can integrate more weight
Very good stuff man, nice insights. I find a lot of people make Animenz reaction vids for the (clout?) dunno the proper word xD but you are genuine I feel, respect :)
When you say you have the sheets, which version do you have? I have his original arrangement of this piece but can’t find the 10th anniversary sheet music (the one you analyzed in this video). If you have the 10th anniversary sheets, where did you find them?
I saw 1 second of your video. Literally just 1. And I fell in love. I’m not gay. I just love everything about the content the you the yes. The awesome. The fun. Yes. Simply yes. I know you might have got confused if you read this far. Just know, yes, and yay.
seriously bro have u ever heard Animenz's Unravel, COLORS, Snow Halation,...,Even this cover???They're all technically harder and way more beautiful than phyxinon's Marigold. Don't get me wrong, phyxinon's covers is great but I think in most of the covers, it sounds a bit too simple especially the bass, not as dynamic and has such great control, smoothness like Animenz, he uses all of his emotions, many classical techniques and usually adds 1 or even 2 other voices in his covers so it almost feels like an orchestra and it really takes a lot of skills. But you guys "non-pianist" are overestimating phyxinon and somes saying that he's better than Animenz😐😐. Come on, just accept the fact that Aninenz is better cause of course, he's a professinally trained pianist and has played for 20+ years and he's a legend.🎹🎹🎹🙂
"Being able to express and sing and be able to coast the piano, to say the things i wanted to say, the way that he does" That really hit me hard. Well said.
Incredible breakdown of the performance! Glad this appeared in my recommended.
Thanks man! Glad to see that the algorithm is helping me out too XD
Wtf man you're in all my recommend videos.

When are you going to play this in public Fonzi!!

I'm not too sure if I actually know what I'm talking about XD
LMAO i was about to type this same exact thing.
