  • Winegrowing landscapes - from before to after oil
    (French and English sub-titles)
by Régis Ambroise (Agronomist and urban planner)
Since the second half of the 20th century, the advent of oil has profoundly reshaped the structure of landscapes, land-use planning and the way in which agriculture takes hold of its land.
Up until the end of the 19th century, the beauty of the landscape - and all that it implied - was synonymous with the blossoming of populations and the success of a political project, but the 20th century saw the emergence of destructuring and reparcelling in favour of industrialised agriculture.
Régis Ambroise gives us a historical perspective on the importance of landscape beauty, which, far from being naïve, is synonymous with sustainable civilisations - whether or not they are grow vine.
Vineyards & Biodiversity Conference #2 - Tomorrow's viticulture starts today
    18 & 19 January 2024 - Avignon (Palais des Papes)
This series of lectures, a link between science and the field, offers a genuine overview of the issues surrounding biodiversity, going well beyond both the boundaries of land registry and the strict framework of viticulture in general.
Conceived as an open, multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary dialogue dedicated to the wine-growing world, the aim is to share knowledge, highlight and pool practical and scientific experience, break down barriers and create a virtuous dynamic in which biodiversity becomes a collective goal rather than an individual mission.
