00:00:21 Recap
00:05:24 Going into Snakey Boys Mouth
00:15:16 What an entrance!
00:17:18 Baudler Fight Part 3
00:32:49 Well that escalated quicky...
00:40:09 Thoughts about death of your boy
00:44:07 We are FINALLY going to the gaint realm!
01:04:05 After game home end scene
01:06:22 Finally thoughts about game :) - Ігри
27:34 I like the little head nod that Kratos gives Atreus. Signaling that he's about to jump off this chisel and wants Atreus to follow him off. Kratos and the boy are working so well together now that they don't even have to say a word to each other and trust each other completely.
Its such a sweet relationship now! I love how much growth the both experienced throughout this game.
53:46 What Atreus is saying here is meant literally. Every yellow painted mark that told us where to climb, what to life, where to crawl, and every yellow painted word giving us the answer to a riddle or telling Kratos to throw his axe into the lake to find the World Serpent was left Faye. She saw the future and set the path for Kratos and Atreus to follow.
She also did that in the Light of Alfheim. If you go back to when Kratos was in the Light it showed him different points in the path he would take.
No, Loki isn't Thor's brother. He's Odin's sworn brother in the myths.
Marvel made him Thor's brother to make him sufficiently different from his inspiration so he could be copyrighted.
“The cycle ends here” whom kratos said to buldur were the exact same words kratos’ father Zeus said to kratos before killing him in god of war 2 and that was one my favorite quotes in the series.
Ohhh I forgot about that. What an amazing line.😁😁
I love good callbacks. Also Atreus saying he's beaten, not a threat, just as Kratos said about Modi. Ragnarok is filled with them too.
Brok said “ By lady sif’s soft perfect sloshers.” 😂 😂. And giants are a race of people not all of them are big. Atreus told kratos that earlier in the game.
He ain't wrong
Lol that makes more sense
Baldur's whole life was so tragic and sad. man didn't felt anything for his entire life and when he finally started to feel something, got instantly killed by Kratos
Odin and Thor want Revenge
@@rockerojerez349 I know buddy!
@@rockerojerez349 dang u really wanna spoil it huh
@LaymanGamin lol it's all good I have started ragnarök 😊
I know 😭😭 poor mans
There are ships inside the World Serpent. Good to see he is getting some fiber in his diet. Wood fiber, but fiber none the less.
😂😂
I usually hate cliffhanger endings, but this game is an exception because they did it the right way. We had a goal and completed it, and then it gave us something to look forward to. An example of a cliffhanger not done correctly was in God of War 2. That game gave us the goal of killing Zeus, we work for hours and hours toward that objective, we get back to fighting Zeus and right before we kill him Athena steps in and Zeus escapes. We get some help and right before we start fighting again the game ends. The story we started didn't finish and now we have to get a new game which will come out years from now and a new console to be able to finish the story. You can't play God of War 2 without having to play God of War 3 to finish the story.
This game we had the goal of spreading Faye's ashes at the top of the highest peak, we did that and because of problems we encountered on the journey we will have problem to take care of down the line. But we finished the story we had started at the beginning of the game. This game could stand on its own without Ragnarök.
Totally agree! I love how the objective at the beginning ended up being the objective for the game. They really did an amazing job on this one.
Oh btw just so you know, its easily missed when atreus said it at the beginning. Giant or Jotnar is a realm race like elves, dwarves, etc. Not all giants are massive. Keep this in mind for the next game ;)
Sounds good, thank you!
"Death would be his escape from madness"
I think that applies to Baldur a lot. Even though he got cured, his mind had already been destroyed from full sensory deprivation, so in my head he really wanted to die and find Valhalla, hence why he kept on fighting till the end and seemed relieved to die feeling the snow in his face.
Very true. I just wanted him to live because I really liked his character and he deserved to be able to feel again. But at least he got to feel one last time
Kratos and Atreus being inside the Serpent reminds me of Geppetto and Pinocchio’s time inside the Whale Monstro.
Ohh yes! I love the comparison 😊
Well, actually Mimir, Baldur following us did bring Baldur his cure he just didn't get to live long enough to really enjoy it. So, from a certain point of view, Odin didn't really lie if he did tell Baldur that.
Before you started explaining what you did offline I was wondering how the heck you were wearing the Niflheim armor. And Freya definitely knew the mistletoe would break the spell and she knew that Mimir knew, so she bewitched him not to speak about it.
Ohhhh that's messed up 😬😬 yeah I wanted to make sure everyone knew were I was in the game lol
This Baldurfight and Freya Scene always hits the spot. This game is soooo good.
In original Lore, Baldur still felt, but Freya asked all things in the world not to harm him, and everything agreed. So when you would try to drown him, water would part and let him breath. If you threw a weapon at him, hit changed direction to miss him, or would simply bounce off. Well she asked everything on earth ... besides Mistletoe because what could mistletoe do... In the end Loki made an Arrow out of Mistletoe und made Hoth, a Blind God of Asgard throw it at Baldur. This is how Baldur die in the original Mythology. But I think they bend the original Lore just perfect to fit it all in their narrativ.
Only thing I would critic a little, is that in my opinion HATE is a very strong FEELING. But maybe Baldur was just blinded to recognize that.
Thank you for all the hours of entertainment. Was a pleasure to watch, and already hyped for Ragnarök!
Oh and, Loki, is not Thors Brother, he way treated like a brother, but he was no bloodrelativ of Odin. He lived in Asgard, was half God, half Giant, and Odin hat sworn never to spill his blood. He is the God of Fire. If you read the north mythology from Neil Gaiman, you pretty much catch up, on most of the lore that persists to this day from Norse Myth. They retold the Storys, and very rarely wrote something down, that is why so few of the storys stood the test of time. But it is a wonderful framework to let your fantasy run wild.
Thank you for all this information!! I love hearing the lore 😊😊 I'll hopefully get to reading that book soon 😊 thanks again for recommending it!
Such a joy to watch you entire playthrough of this game as well as your views on it. Looking forward to watching you play Ragnarök.✌
Glad you enjoy it! :)
Great game! Crazy that it was merely setting the environment for Ragnarok. You are in for a real treat.
Heck yea! I'm excited
Glad you enjoyed the game. In the future definitely don’t feel pressured to play games others want you to play vs games YOU want to play. Your followers will support you no matter what.
Thank you :)
The elf realm is honestly the hardest part of the game for me too I've beat it over 5 times in every difficulty and it still gives me nightmares lol
dang thats impressive!!
Full respect to Danielle Bisutti for her role as Freya, I love her speech to Kratos on seeing Baldur die. Really gets across the whole “I am a god and I’m not in the best of moods with you” vibe well.
That speech was fire!
The Best reaction ❤🍿😊,now for the Ragnarok reaction✌️😊
lol thank you :)
@@KahliPlaysGames gracias a vos siempre 🍿😊❤️
Just wanted to say, I am glad you enjoyed and loved the game. I wish you didn't self doubt yourself as much as you do (granted you can always dislike or like a game, everyone has their own likes) but I feel like you're afraid of some games thus you think you won't like the game. I don't know if that makes any sense. I say that as a positive because I am glad you felt more comfortable as you go. I hope I wasn't ever mean and I know I was one the early one's giving lots of tips for combat, hoping it would make ya feel better. Personally, I feel like this game itself gave you a lot of growth and could definitely tell you improved over time, which is only natural. I mean everything in life is just practice to get better. I am glad you started to hold down RT for finishers cause they are the bomb! Combat aside, there's reason why we all recommend games and I think some have more general consensus than others, and this game was one of them. What Santa Monica achieved was quite ground break for their company, development and genre as a whole. I will also say, I also wish your re-caps were just a tad bit longer, but I do always love them. You didn't give any shoutout to the documentary (sad face) lol I will also say, I personally think the first 3 games and combat style are harder. I find what they did with the combat and scenes more grounded and cinematic, but again that makes sense with how they decided to develop this game and technology advancements . I can't wait for your Ragnarök playthrough. Personally, I don't enjoy it as much as this one, and personally, I hope they find a good way to wrap up the series in a third game. Either they need to wrap up the series, wrap up Kratos's story, and they need to reveal who blew horn in this game. (Not a spoiler as I mentioned before, but nobody knows still who blew the horn. It is not revealed in the next game and there's tons of theories out there!) I wouldn't mind other God of War games, but I think they should move on with Atreus, or who knows, Kratos might end up traveling to all the mythologies and killing the different pantheons...but not out of blood or spite, some other reasons 🤣(even though it would kind of ruin his character development)
I was mostly scared to play this game not because I didn't think I would be good at it but because of its popularity. I know that there is a lot of hardcore fans and I was worried that I would get a lot of mean comments because I didn't know as much or didn't play as people wanted. I have got some of that, especially in parts where I mixed up backstories or just didn't know lore, but for the most part luckily its been 98% positive!
I also like to push my boundaries and play games you all suggest that are a little out of my comfort zone. You all have opened my eyes to some amazing games that I wouldn't have played without you all, like this one and the Uncharted series.
I'm sorry I forgot to mention the documentary, it was amazing!! Thanks again for recommending that.
I am excited for Ragnarök! I think it will be hard to top this game but I have high hopes for it.
Thank you for always being so helpful and supportive. It really means a lot!

A hundred years of complete lack of feeling (not feeling the warmth of a woman..) can destroy once mind and heart, and turns you to a cruel stone-hearted, devoid of all emotions.. u kinda understand why at that moment he was unable to find sympathy or forgiveness.. he needed more time to start retrieving his feelings and emotions back.. 😢,
Yeah I understand that. I just wish he had the time to try to come to turn with his emotions now that he had his feelings back. However, I sadly doubt that, even with time, he would forgive her. I get why this was the best solution, I am just sad because he was my favorite character
It is a mistake that many make. They listen to someone tell the story of GOW when they could watch one of the many summaries on UA-cam with the original scenes of the game. That is, you are interested in the story, you should see it as it happened in the game.
Yeah I think that would be a better way to experience the older games if you can't play/access them. I'm going to do that for God of war ascension and ghost of Sparta
Loki is Just Thor's brother in Marvel
In marvel loki was adopted brother of thor but he was giant. In mythology i dont think so, but in mythology baldur was good guy killed due to loki
CONGRATULATIONS
Thank you!
I feel like a lot of the side quests are bonus story. Especially the Valkeryies and beating them all.
I'd say they're even more important in the next game. Basically when Mimir, Brok, Sindri, or whoever makes mention of it, you'll want to visit.
But I think the next game's smaller story bits takes place under the assumption of mostly completed endgame of this one.
They don't necessarily all need to be videos, but if you plan on doing the sequel, it's worth considering a more "completionist" play.
Sounds good! Thanks for the advice!
Love the kind of games that makes You grow attached to the characters. Love the relationship between Kratos and Artreus; the fights the disagreements and, most importantly, the wholesomes times they had from time to time. Loved the story ( nos a huge fan of the Game play, but it was good enough for me to play thought it all). I played this Game like a year ago, didn't want a o pick the sequel because i was a little tires of the Gameplay formula and wanted a rest, thanks to your gameplays, i bought Ragnarok last week on ps4, and i'm enjoying it so far( still Not a huge fan of the gameplay, but love the story and characters).
That's awesome!! I'm glad you are enjoying ragnarök! I agree. I love the games that really make you feel a connection to the characters. It's a hard thing to achieve
Kratos: “WHO ARE YOU?!”
(Big fat man shows hammer and lightning)
You: “Is that the mother? 👁️👄👁️
I said "brother" as in the thor's son. I forgot that he died lol
Good stuff. Speaking about the QT event in the trilogy, glad you love them, but I HATED QTEs in the OG games... But I'm a Ninja Gaiden/DMC-type player.😉
59:42 I always cry when I hear this story
Yeah that was really unexpected. What a beautiful side to Kratos :)
Bruh, that smile fade at the start is hilarious.
🤣🤣🤣
A stunning game Kahli , and i think it got to you at the end 🐀🐀
It really did. I didn't expect it to tbh 😅
In reality, Loki is a friend of Odin, Thor is not his brother, Marvel made that up. Another thing is that Thor is not blonde, mythology says that he is redhead.
ohhh that makes more sense! Thank you!
in the temple (where you flipped the tempel) direcklty after actualy flip the tempel you get the option is to go up to the left,...but actualy iff you turn around and look up there is a secret axe and light arrows will work 👍👍
Wooahhh. I love that you know where all the secret stuff is! Thats awesome 😊
You should look up why the mistletoe broke the curse
will do :)
Are you a completionist, aiming for 100%? If so I'd recommend not attempting the Valkyries until you've beaten the game again on NG+. You'll be able to access higher quality armour/talismans/pommels etc which will make it a lot easier. The game wasn't meant to be able to be 100% completed on the first playthrough.
No I'm not a completionist 😊 I just wanted to do the valkyries because they seemed interesting. I ended up getting them all (😅😅😭) but had to go on easy for the queen because GD she was a nightmare
Damn you’ve been grindingggg
Lol I was addicted to this game 🤣🤣
Cant wait for Ragnarok 😭😔
me too :)
Loki being Thor's brother is a Marvel thing, just as the "being worthy" thing of Mjolnir, in norse lore the the hammer was so heavy and the hangle so short that only Thor and a few more were capable of lifting it
good to know thank you! Yeah I havent really watched a lot of the marvel movies. I just vaguely remember something about Loki being Thor's brother. BUT obviously that's incorrect lol
You’ll have to play the 2 game to find out hehehehehe
This game is epic

@@jondbz9481 sounds good thank you!!
In Norse mythology jormangandar (giant snake) is a child of Loki. 🤔. Also idk if I would say ragnarok better. I just consider it another part of kratos story. And u realize the only reason freya put that hex on baulder is to protect him. When he was born she said the runes foretold a needless death for baulder,so she was just being a mother n trying to prevent that needless death for her son. Feel me
Wooahhh that's so interesting!! Yeah I get why she did it but at the same time, is that really a life? I sympathize with her though. She just wanted her child to live no matter the cost. I feel like they both were miserable . It was a really sad situation
So Loki......
is not Thor's brother! Never was lol 😂. Not even adopted.
That's just Marvel take on the story.
In Norse mythology Loki is the son of Farbauti and Laufey.
In this the game there is a prophecy made by the Giants of Jotunheim ( this prophecy will be expanded upon in the next game) in said prophecy Kratos is referred to as Farbauti which translates to "The Dangerous Striker"
A few times Kratos mentioned his wife's name, Faye which is short for Laufey.
In the game the roles of Kratos and his wife are merely switched:
As Norse mythology would have it Laufey is a Goddess and Farbauti is Giant (Jotunn)
In the game, Kratos is a God (a God of War to be exact) and his wife is a Giantess
Gotcha thank you!! Appreciate the help!
Baldur had to die.. He would have killed Freya and then Kratos would have killed him for doing that, and as he was a threat to Atreus. This way Freya is alive, and she might be an ally again in future, who knows?
Yeah I get the logic, I'm just sad because Baldur was my favorite 😅
15:32 BaldurNALD TRUMP!! AHHAHAHA
🤣🤣🤣
I love when you disagree with the games since it leads to interesting conversations. I agree with Baldur's end, Kratos didn't have to involve himself in that moment but I think he made that decision knowing firsthand that killing everything is not the fix or how you "make yourself whole" as Freya put it. Kratos tends to make some flawed decisions here and there so it's no surprise 🤣
Thanks for the TED talks in the video, the recap was also very entertaining lol. Enjoyed your ramblings
Hahah thank you! Yeah I get why he did it. I think I was just sad because Baldur was my favorite 🥲🥲 but I think it's sweet that Kratos saved Baldur from himself (even if it meant his death)
@@KahliPlaysGames It was sweet that you were happy for him when he was cured, I even started rooting for him to just go and live his life even if I knew he was just going to die by the end 😆🤣

@@KahliPlaysGames Don't get me wrong. I also feel bad for Baldur and what he went through as well. I can tell you that I wanted to do something to keep him alive but I guess his hatred for his mother was too much for him to just walk away from.

Ragnarok >>>>> god of trolls 2018
@@marloncristianlopes That's fine if you like Ragnarök more than the 2018 game. It is an amazing game. The Valhalla DLC adds a lot to it as well. I just preferred the 2018 game more. The ending of Ragnarök just felt a little rushed, but other than that it was fantastic.
@@stonecoldku4161 agreed, a trilogy would've let the characters breathe a little bit more. Like in this game where it felt more personal.
@@Ghaladd Actually, I don't think they needed a third game. Just a couple of more main story hours and it would've been just fine. Also, selfishly I think it would've been better if they only made the game for the PS5, because making it for the PS4 also constrained it. it could've been a little more epic playing up to the PS5's hardware only.
