Woooo lawd... this song, am I right?
I was introduced to Les Mis when I was six years old after my dad gave me his original broadway cast recording on a cassette tape. I used to wear that tape out & sing my little heart out to this song & On My Own! Then when I turned 13, my amazing parents took me to see the show for my birthday when it came through our town & I was officially in love. This song never fails to punch me right in the feels! I literally had to wipe tears away from my eyes after every single take. It's one that's been highly requested but has taken me years to post because it's so dear to my heart that I've always been super nit picky about my voice on it. But this time, I decided to focus more on the emotion than getting every single note perfectly right & voila! Here's what came out- my spin on I Dreamed a Dream. I hope it breaks your heart a little... but in that good kinda way. ;) Shine on, bright lights!
