We're heading to Southampton next month from Tasmania to join a cruise around the British Isles and then stay a week in New Forest in a 500 year old hotel called the Crown before catching a second cruise around Scandinavia and the land of the midnight sun. We're so looking forward to it. I've booked a tour at every port so we can see everything we can. Enjoy your cruise, but know this, cruising is addictive.

What a fantastic voyage!!! I have been a Disney fanatic all my life. I was even fortunate to get chosen to represent my company, ATT, at Disneyland in the Circle Vision Theatre in 1976. It was a 6mth tour of working there but I still consider it one of the absolute JOYS of my life!!! I can only dream of experiencing what you did, being able to take a cruise, so I am ever so grateful that you shared your trip with me! I can't wait for Video 2 to see what else you were able to experience aboard the Disney Dream.

My sister and her family took a Disney cruise some years ago when the kids were still young. They brought their second ship to California and cruised out of the Port of L.A., down to Mexico. She told me about how they really took care of the guests, and paid attention to what they liked in terms of menu went to make sure that they would get it again. She said Disney really does things right
Hi Sue. Looks like a wonderful time with lots of good food! My son and I went on a cruise years ago via Royal Caribbean and, truly, it was the best vacation I have ever had! You had to worry about NOTHING (except making it back to the ship before it left port). It was awesome. A funny story - on the first night I was standing out on the balcony just looking at the ocean enjoying the slight wind and the sound of the sea, and I swear I could hear very, very faint voices drifting in and out. Of course my mind goes wandering and I am thinking it is probably the voices of sailors lost to the sea. My son comes out on the balcony and I am asking if he can hear them. He points out it is the people on the balcony below and to the left of us talking. Bummer! I liked my theory better!! It was a great time and I would definitely do it again.

what a pretty ship. I've been on a number of cruises, and I learned to not try to stuff in all food that's available. It makes me feel lethargic - a feeling I hate. Also I had to see food wasted, so sometimes I'll see if I can get a smaller portion or see if anybody wants to share.
SUE, What i wouldn't have hiven to have been able to hitch a ride along with your cruise...what a once in a lufe time experience...I'm with you, steak all the way. For me after would have been crem-brulie and ice-cream yum. Tirrimasu would have been a pick for me too, but so disappointed to hear it wasn't that nice. That is usually delicious and heavy with rum and fresh cream....one portion a million calories lol xx

I have to say I had a lovely time, As I was getting off the ship, after asking for help from workers standing and watching us getting off the ship, also. Having a heart problem as well as really bad arthritis in legs and hands, being refused, help ,,, I fell and had to spend a night in a Italian hospital , , had to buy extra air tickets home, so I would never againago. So far, the moral of the story is to stretch our stomachs well before a cruise starts... And to eat breakfast before any activities with alcohol! I was blown away by how nice your area was, with concierge stuff. Definitely the option for introverts or romantic getaways.
Thank you for sharing your exciting Disney cruise. This summer we are taking a Disney cruise from Vancouver BC to Alaska. My husband and I are treating our two adult son’s their wives and they each have 2 kids to come with us. My husband and I have cruised a few times so I’m looking forward to taking our sons and their families with us. During the 90’s when we were a young family we RV’d a lot so we went as a family to Disneyland and Disney World. This trip was a Christmas gift to our sons and their families.
Sue, that was really interesting and as close as I will ever get to a cruise. I would not take a cruise for any amount of money for fear of being trapped in a horrible situation. Land lover here.
I have been on 8 Disney Cruises, on the Dream I stayed in an inside room. What is good about that room, is that there is what is called is a virtual port hole. You choose the front view and you can see what it looks like from the front. About every half hour a Disney character will dance across the screen! Looked like you had a great time.
Good to see that a few parts of Disney are keeping up quality. Lots of hard work went into making that cruise fun... But also you and your husband are clearly the kind of people who are liked by the cruise workers. Because you are nice people!
