Now do a video unpacking cultural vs religious practices in Islamic countries. It's surprising to understand how many of these "Islamic practices" are simply cultural and have no basis in quran. There's lots of scholarly exploration on the topic.

I'm seeing a lot of Muslim and Christian comments of finding god in here, and even tho I don't necessarily believe either of them are true. I still respect the people that follow them so all I'll say is:
whatever you think made and formed us, I hope you find meaning and happiness in every way you strive to, and have a long and meaningful life
May peace be abundant in your life and those of who you love

    • @mhmd_old7

I invite you to learn about Islam, since simply deciding that its not true without really learning much about it doesn't seem open minded if you ask me.
Now I'll say this, liberalism which makes you form this ideology of respecting the people, but not the religion is hypocritical in by itself. Because when people say things like "X is full of nonesense, rubbish and really just useless", its gonna offend someone.
I'm not saying its you personally or that you did that, but just simply stating common contradictions found within this idea. So I also reccomend you to ask yourself, why do you believe whatever you do? Why is it true? Does my purpose of living have any objective value?
And the answer you'll quickly find is Atheism/Agnosticism doesn't answer any of those, but makes a personalized approach to these questions. And what's my or your opinions really worth when all opinions are valid within such a paradigm anyway? You end up with something called subjective relativism, where your definitions of good and bad differ from others, which objectively means there is no morality. Or in other words, you don't have a meaning of life.
Side note here, I'm assuming you're either Atheist or Agnostic, but if you're not, the fourth paragraph doesn't apply to you if you follow a religion.

There's a difference and just in case you're referring to Saudi Arabia here, the biggest scholars there like Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzan make takfeer (excommunication) and literally say the people who have the belief system of the traditional radicals you see blowing themselves up on the news.

By the way, Islam states that the “peace be upon you” greeting has been taught by Allah SWT to ALL the prophets and their nations, not just in ours. That’s why Jesus said “peace be upon you” in Christian scripture and that’s why Jews say “shalom alaikhem” doesn’t it sound almost identical, and it carries the same meaning as well. Fun fact, because i never knew that other people used to use this greeting in the past, and some still do today like the Jews. This is why it cracked me up when Germany police locked up a woman saying assalamu alaikum, thinking it was a hateful Arabic phrase calling for violence, when ironically if Christians preserved the language of Jesus (peace be upon him) and Christianity, aramaic, Germans would be saying the same greeting lol

Let me ask you a question, do the idols you worship benefit you in any physical way? Can it hear you when you're worshipping it? Can it see you?
If it doesn't do any of those things, then why are you worshipping it? What's the difference between your literal God and some random rock in the desert?
Now we can also suppose you're not worshipping idols, which is a step up, so how can you believe in more than 1 God exactly?
If you look at the matter philosophically, how can you put it in your mind that the universe is sustained by more than 1 power exactly? And if it was more than 1 power, then they would fight and you'd just have the universe being a mess. So if you have consistencies within the universe, like laws of nature, the perfection of the human creation, animals, mountains, trees, then how can all of that come from more than 1 will when by extension that would mean contradictions?
Just something to think about before you start falling into fallicious nonesense like how something is true just because its old. Heck, even Hinduism as it turns out is older than Baltic paganism, so what stops me from calling Baltic paganism a joke now? Like you clearly see what I mean, something being older doesn't make it true. And all of the evidence in the world leads to paganism being denied by the mind.

If Christianity has nothing to do with Islam, then how come there's so many similarities, you're making it seem like a completely foreign religion when Jesus himself didn't come from a place too far away from where prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to.
Islam spreading was natural, yes the Caliphate at the time was had many regional wars and was an empire. However, that doesn't mean the religion itself spread that way. On the other hand, you have Christianity actually having proper prostelyzational wars and conflicts to spread the religion like the Crucades, Spanish Inquisition, certain intersectarian wars between Protestants, Catholic and Orthodox. Not to mention all of the Church council persecutions that happend.
So if you ask me, simply by going which religion spilt more blood (if we assume the members represent the religion), then Christianity would turn out false.

Actually there's inscriptions in bc time if you look it up. And historically, the languages get estimated to be older the older the inscriptions. Cause it takes time for societies to actually develop a script and such. Especially for undeveloped times like the past. So at least its a few thousand years before Christ.

So when a christian stops believing in god then satan misguides them BUT *that misguidance is called in the Bible as GOD DECEIVING*
But when Allah deceives the enemies of christ into believing he died then suddenly you lot have a problem with it.
      I can smell the hypocrisy.
Also, you can do damage control by saying that satan misguides but you don't have the ba₹₹s to say that God deceives as *your literal holy book claims*
The story you speak of in Jeremiah is related to only one of those two verses & even then god still deceived them by making the people in Jerusalem think they will have peace when in reality the land got raided, looted & god's people, killed & abused

There's a difference between culture and religion. Learn the difference. Islam isn't just a culture, its a vast religion. So if simply teaching religion means you're propagating it, then you can clearly see the flaw in your argument there. You're making teaching a religion = apologetics. Which is fallicious.

    1. Marriages....eg Muhammad married 6year old at his 70s...and made her pregnant at her 9 age.
2..What you need to do with Disbelievers (Kafir).... peace is only with believers...but note even among them there is war and hatred...
    3.. Status of women....
Finally you will recognise that this is the only religion which destroyed world peace with terrorism killing innocents .... that is only because of their Quran, Hadith and Tafseer...

Video is a straw man and deceitful. I am an atheist. Kindly list the Islamic countries where I can openly denounce the historical actions of Muhammad? What if I were openly gay? What if I were an ex-Muslim speaking against Islam? What prison would I be in?
You know you are biased when you point to an unequally applied law (dress code) and state this inequality is an example of equality. You can surely keep Islam. I have higher standards.

    • @mhmd_old7
      @mhmd_old7 2 дні тому

So simply because he was teaching Islam, you call that a straw-man and being decietful? Like at least have some self respect there buddy, your superior Atheist framework should have already taught you that.
But just to answer some of your questions:
      1. Denouncing the historical actions of prophet Muhammad (peace be uopn him). I'm assuming you're familiar with the local laws on freedom of speach and certainly the kind of thing you're talking about is considered hate speach, which is also illegal in Atheistic countries. What you have to realize is that the general public of Muslims don't have much knowledge on hadiths and most of the doubts you bring from certain individuals against Islam are already refuted. So what you're really doing is teaching falsehood to a community and no state tolerates that. Take for example, the UK, certain individuals like Geert Wilders, Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller and many other individuals literally get bans from entering so called liberal countries because of their dangerous views and false ideologies.
Now on the other hand, there's no Islamic country that really bans a person whose views isn't made public from enterring there. So again, just to summarize, even from an Atheistic, liberal, democratic pov, complete freedom of speach isn't even accepted. So if you say it is, you're simply contradicting what secular countries like the uk are doing.
      2. Declaring your homosexuality
Now just to keep a note here, sexuality in general isn't even discussed openly within traditional societies. So if you go around and tell people what you do in bed, forget about Islamic societies, even (traditional) Atheists would look at you wierdly. Its simply not something that's traditionally spoken about. Even if a person were straight, he wouldn't be talking about what he does in bed, that's just how traditional societies are and this isn't just exclusively Islamic societies, there's many traditional Christian societies that employ the same rules here. In terms of actually practicing what you do in bed, no government is going to hold you accountable for what you do in bed, however, its well worth a note that in Islam, that kind of act is one of the biggest major sins and even in other religions. So this isn't an excuse to come and attack Islam exclusively to begin with when other religions are doing it.
      3. Being an Ex-Muslim speaking against Islam
We all have to agree that complete freedom of speach isn't practical and to put it simply complete and utter nonesense to say the least. There's no political power that wants false ideologies being spread among its people. And in most cases, just like any sensible government would do is deport those kinds of individuals that do so, just like the examples where I gave you Non-Muslims who were quite literally banned from enterring the UK, a secular, democractic country where the majority are Atheists.
Now just to give you reasons:
"The Home Office stated that his presence could foster extremism and threaten community relations, considering his inflammatory views." -quote from the web
So yeah I'm definitely not going to sugarcoat to you anything here, simply talking realistically, your views which attempt to spread within these communities Islamic, Christian or whatever can get you in trouble with governments. So your point here again isn't exclusive to Islam. All governments do these things.
      4. Which prison would you be in?
No prison hopefully, look, Muslims are friendly people, instead of trying to be aggressive, why not just try something new instead of disliking it without even knowing it? Don't judge a book by its cover basically.
You also mentioned something about having higher standards, if that's Atheism, then let me address certain parts of the morality within it and we'll still have to see if its better.
      1. Since you mentioned homosexuality, we can talk about that first. So why its the actions itself considered acceptable or good? Well whatever makes me happy means its good and whatever makes me sad is bad. I just use my mind to determine which from which. Okay, so drugs makes you happy, so why aren't you taking them if whatever makes you happy is good? Well.. Because its harmful. So whatever is harmful is bad and whatever doesn't have harm is good? Yes. Alright, so cheating on your wife without her knowing doesn't cause any physical harm. Oh.
      2. So Atheists also have this idea where morality comes from whatever a person desires. And if you look at things objectively, all people's opinions differ and even contradict one another in the same things sometimes and other things. There are agreements, don't get me wrong, however, then you have this idea of subjective relativism in play. If all people's opinions on morality differ, then what's objectively good and objectively bad? Since its all subjective or based upon the persons opinion, in reality, there is no good or bad for you. So that's really one of the benefits of Islam over Atheism, the morality in Islam is objective, meaning that its by God, whose opinion is superior than humans'.
      3. Now when you actually think of Atheism, you come to the basis of the belief, which is denial of the existence of God. So how rational is that belief? Well, put it this way, there's really 3 ways that creation could have come about, either it came from nothing (Atheism), it was self-created (pantheism) or it was by An All-Powerful All-Knowing God. There's really no other way to put it.
So first of all, we can take a look at Atheism, that's like saying 0+0=1, which makes about as much sense as a square circle. Its contradictory and irrational.
This leads us to the next possibility: the universe was self-created. Can something create itself? This is a self-contradiction. Something creating itself requires its own pre-existence. Things can’t exist and not exist at the same time. That would be like saying that your mother gave birth to herself!
Since something cannot come from nothing, and self-creation is absurd, then what is the alternative? There is one final possibility: the universe has an external cause.
This is the best explanation for the origins of the universe and everything in it, including ourselves, because it is intuitive and concurs with natural law: whatever begins to exist has a cause. One has to wonder, is the creative force behind the universe some random event or an intelligent mind? Universal human experience tells us that when we find things working according to systems and laws, something intelligent has made those systems and laws.
So I invite you to Islam simply. Learn more before making up your mind based on false narratives that get propagated to you and made to look like candy.
