I have a bottle of that, as I'm a big fan of Autoglym. I've not had a lot of success with it though. Always seems to leave a little bit of fly fluid behind. I tend to use a polish or wax instead for the paintwork now and Autoglym Bumper Trim for all the non-glossy bits.
I've started to notice that, too. I found it easier than water to clean off immediately after a ride, but the other day I was caught in a bit of wind and rain, and I noticed some bubbles forming at the top of my visor. That was probably left over insect remover. Also, on my first service, the technician said he saw some droplets that made him think something was leaking around the front of the bike, and he couldn't figure out what it was. :-)
That’s why we ride RTs, they are the best in my opinion for protection from the elements and wildlife. Even the mirrors provide great protection from that cold wind. I’ve had 3 RTs then onto a K1600 but I’m going back to the RT next month
@@throttle_up firstly the K is a great bike and engine. But when I do fully loaded with a pillion touring, it’s just too heavy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. The reverse gear certainly helps but when I get lost as I often do abroad and get into sone tight squeezes it’s very heavy to get out and whilst I haven’t dropped it, I’ve come very close a couple of times. Had I been 30 years younger it wouldn’t have been a problem, but I’m getting a bit long in the tooth now
Save your money, just use one microfiber cloth/rag soaked in warm water, clean your bike with that to remove the bugs then use another dry microfiber cloth to dry it. Done. Been doing it for years. I even take a wet microfiber cloth in a ziplock bag on the road if I need to clear the screen if it gets really bad during my ride. Then if you like you can wax the bike afterwards to make them come off easier next go around. Cheers!

Interesting. Why the switch back? In my case the reason for not going for the K is I tried taking one off its sidestand once, and it's just too heavy.

I'll give that a go. My bottle has run out, so maybe it's time. Thanks.

I have some plastic coating on my paintwork, but next time I'm seriously thinking about the ceramic coating.
