This review is spot on. I have the NIV Pitt, and this personal size CSB is basically identical in size. The CSB is definitely easier to read and less cluttered. I've enjoyed the CSB
I just got the verse-by-verse and I love it but I don’t have a little pistol bible to cross reverence with and flip around in when I’m doing my study. I may end up getting one of the these personal size ones.
That looks really nice. I too, like that compact size. But at this point there is only one more CSB that I want. ( I have two) . That is the Ancient Faith Study Bible. I'd have to do some serious rationalizing for that one.
Check out Matthew Everhard’s video on his Pitt Minion. He has an update video every year for five years. Listening to him is what is prompting me to buy the CSB personal since I am a CSB guy.
I would love to see a blue or green edge or gilding in bibles. Not necessarily a vibrant color but something different. I feel like gold and silver feels so mature and old. Blue and green feel more refreshing especially for a younger person like me lol. I'm also an artist that's why I'm particular in these details. 😅😁
I have the CSB personal size genuine leather which I bought online here in Philippines. My complaints are the ghosting due to thin pages and small text (7.5). However it's my fault. Although I was used to reading compact bibles in my early 20s I didn't realize that I am now into larger fonts. Maybe I'll get used to it. Another con for me is that the red letter is not that dark enough to be readable. I'm okay with an orangy font color but it's pale. Edit: I got used to small text. I realized that my brain can adjust and it is still readable. It's a good bible except that I still don't like the orangy "red text".
Nice, thorough review. I've got the verse-by-verse and you've convinced me to double up with the "CSB Pitt" now as well. Thanks!
Thank you, sir---your reviews have sold me on this translation and this edition in particular.
I've been looking for a csb that's similar to a pitt minion for a long time. Thanks for this. I just ordered the personal csb today.

Is this the personal size or the compact? It seems this is the compact based on your verbiage
This is the personal. The compact is shorter and thicker.

That's why I shy away from red letter Bibles....not many publishers do it right.
@@jkdbuck7670 thanks for the reply. I realized that I have to edit my review. The red text is not so red and dark. 🙂 but it's a minor thing for me.
