I couldn't help but notice this track that plays in-game wasn't in the OST release. I'm only uploading this because it's not uploaded anywhere else. If Michael Wyckoff or Stress Level Zero wants me to delete the video, just say the word and I will.
Just a note.... Every other unreleased thing has actually been waiting as future content. There are tracks referring to the monkey not yet in the legitimately playable game, but there's a dev unlock with as yet unofficially released content including the monkey. Now there's a song saying that we are going back to myth os.. in bonelab we are isolated and cut off from myth os. ....we are going back someday, in bonelab.
@@Koniving We DID go back to MythOS. After escaping Fantasyland, we find ourselves in Myth, which is where the Bonelab is located. This music plays immediately after falling down the tubes that take you back to MythOS city.
@@Freelancer117 we find ourselves in the backrooms and a trash area for dumped files, literally a recycle bin. We never truly make it there. Fantasyland 's backend is just the MythOS it is running on, but it isn't any of the 8 districts of Myth OS city. It's just a support crew. The closest we get to MythOS itself is the train station, and that's literally just to go back to the Fantasyland server. We never make it to the mainline MythOS, which like a metaverse has hundreds of thousands of users. We never see actual people. The closest we get is the cut content, of a radio show host NPC slowly realizing the world around him is just a simulation. The system has so many users who don't bother to visit the museum after only a year that they scrap and begin dumping the museum itself. The wishing well in minecart has full time employees working for 8 hours in the real world which equates to 12 hours in the simulation, for $5.75 an hour just cleaning and maintaining a virtual rollercoaster ride. Monogon has at least countrywide reach and other companies working within their virtual operating system. There could easily be over a million users. But we never see it...because we are still under quarantine, shut off from the rest as antivirus hazmat suits try to erase us for the void entity we carry in our head (the dream at the start).
The first level of Bonelab will always be one of the most memorable moments in VR for me, period. Climbing out of that transport chute and seeing the MythOS logo with this starting to play in the background just gave me so many chills, it was such a profound experience, especially for a Boneworks FANATIC who was absolutely ready to see more of MythOS City. The music and atmosphere was so motivating and driving, all these mysteries forming all at once, it was so exciting and fucking ENTHRALLING. It just invoked that nostalgic sense of "aww shit here we go again", absolute master class of a VR level imo. And then the rest of the game happened and I wish I just fucking refunded the game right then and there.
You know your right imagine if decent was the penultimate section to home it would've been amazing especially with return to mythos playing or imagine if at the end you do a rerun of this level but it's all torn up and there are more difficult and header enemies
Been so long since I've heard the OST from this game. Used to listen to it a lot. And obviously would hear it in game, but since I haven't played Bonelab much recently this felt really refreshing. Reminding me how good the fucking OST for this game is and how great of a musician Michael Wyckoff is. Like I literally got a hard hit of nostalgia from when I used to play this game a ton-- nearly 24/7
This point of the game almost had me in tears. All the memories of discovering vr, the node videos, the release of boneworks, finally getting a vr to play it, and the wait for bonelab. The song gave me this overwhelming feeling of “holy fuck it’s good to be back with a new trippy vr adventure.” And then the game was like 4 hours long. Then I got sad.

I love how he gave it the same feel as the OG Boneworks music at 0:34 (same sort of arpeggio, chords, instrumentation, etc)
