Heeeeelllllloooooooooooooo Everyone :P Let me know if you enjoyed the video and would like to see how my journey is continuing! Are you also learning a Ballade right now? If yes - which one are you learning? Let me know in the comments!
I still can't believe you did all Chopin etudes, AND NOW ARE LEARNING ALL THE BALLADES!!!??? Wow!
Pls more 😊
Yes I'm learning the 1.Ballade in g minor
This was sooooo fun to watch olease keep us updates like this, its very real content an also provides insight into how tiring this must be and how much will one neeeds,,, i loved the vid 💞💞
4 ballades in 6 weeks? That's crazy fast . . . performance ready in 6 weeks? Even crazier
“Sometimes not practicing is better than bad practicing.” Not sometimes, always.
Agreed
I love to see the working progress of a professional pianist! You are so relaxed and personable with your youtube audience- watching you is incredible and it makes me want to practice piano more!! ❤ Best of luck with all the memorizing!
Love your honest progresss. I'm an amateur working on them out of love and really appreciate your thoughts and techniques. Thank you for huminzing the process!
I'm doing three Chopin works . . . Sonata in B minor Op.58, Etude in F Op.10/8, and Etude in Thirds Op.25/6. Also, I'm keeping Liszt Feux Follets under my muscle memory.
I'd love to listen to you play the Ballades, the Scherzos, and the Sonatas, especially my favourite B minor!
Your screams at the beginning are hilarious! I completely understand. Looking forward to the end result of your hard work. Thank you!
Es ist einfach eine pure Ferude, Ihnen zuzuhoeren und anzuschauen.
I'm not a professional pianist, so the amount of time I have to practice is not nearly as much, but I have been practicing the first ballade and I completely sympathize with you lol
These things are just so... hard
hi! keep showing us your journey, please. It is very inspiring!
I'm learning a Chopin polonaise, but I'm actually (and miraculously😅) managing quite decently...😊❤ love all of your videos btw😍
I'm 15 years old, and homework + piano practice sucks altogether! I'm currently playing Chopin's 2nd Ballade for a competition that's on March 1st! I'm very nervous, but I have memorized the entire piece...just gotta fix a few things! It's truly a beautiful piece, but dang, it wears you out a bunch. Wish me luck with the competition! I'm also playing Bach's Toccata in G Major in the competition, so that's even more work. Good luck, Annique, with the Ballades. You're doing great!
Great video concept! Can't wait for the next episode.
Will you release a CD album with the Ballades? I love the Etudes one!
I'm really digging this vlog style video!!
Great stuff!
Hi! I learned the ballads over the years and fell in love with them and did other things and forgot and learned again and forgot, and so on. Currently working on Nr. 1.
we need more videos like thisssssssss
I am also practicing Chopin's ballade no.1!
I’m currently learning Ravel’s piano concerto for the left hand, Liszt Mephisto Waltz, Brahms sonata 2 Mvt.1, Vine Sonata 2 mvt.2, and recently began the first movement of Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto. Thanks for the video!
wow you're so good! I really admire how much dedication you have for piano!❤
Hello! Thank you for showing us your progress. These video’s encourage me to keep practicing and that I’m not alone with struggles. I’m working on Mozart sonata 10 k330
Remember to get up and stretch intermittently! They say the best position is the next position. Also, hip flexor stretches. They do so much for your whole body. These pieces will definitely require every muscle you have!
OMG i have waited for this❤❤
Great job 👍 👍 👍
das ist ein richtig cooles Format
As an absolute begginer, I feel so identified with this video...
Heyy I really loved watching your practice journey and see the process :) I would loveee to see more vlogs from you😊❤
Same!❤️❤️
Hey Annique!
I'm currently learning Bach well tempered clavier no 6 in dminor from the first book, beethovens pathetique, schumanns novelette no 1 in f major and the op.25 no 1 chopin etude for the IGP entry exam at the mdw in vienna. And just like you i have a little bit of time pressure... my prof says i have to be able to perform all pieces 1 or 2 months prior to the exam. Guess i need to go practicing haha
Grüße aus Wien
Jonas
When you’re doing these ballads, can you should share fingering difficulties (Even though fingering is personal). Love your journeys. Oh, and loved the hour challenges you use to do.
I'm learning 3rd ballade as well!
J'aime beaucoup! Fais plus de video comme ça si possible 😀
En ce moment j'apprends la ballade №1
I’m working on ballade no.3 and Op.25 No.12. Along with Beethoven and Debussy for transferring soon! Love your videos keep up the great work!
Trying to learn all Chopin ballades in 6 weeks is crazy and too much work. Good luck!!
My biggest struggles right now are the 3rd Ballade, the 2nd Scherzo, and the 3rd and 4th Op. 10 Etudes. I have some harder pieces I started learning, like Heroic Polonaise , La Campanella, and the Waldstein, but I have put them on hold. (The Polonaise was assigned by my teacher when I was about 16. I learned it, but in retrospect, he may have had a sadistic streak :-) Those left-hand octaves!!)
Uff, six weeks for the 4 ballades? That is really risky, and perhaps she is underestimating them.
I play all of them too, but they are a lifelong work. There are so many artistic choices to be made, so many hidden markings and meanings in the score. You have to keep the form together, choose your tempi, manage to have a beautiful touch and phrasing through all of the mechanical challenges which are abundant. This is music you have to live with for quite some time. Many great pianists fail to play them well even after years of playing them. Sure, it's easier than playing all of the etudes, but six weeks is so little time.
I hope all goes well.
6:39 *nails passage* "that part needs a lot of work" lol
10:33 Great advice! ❤
I grew up playing piano, I can't even begin to imagine trying to play any Chopin 😂 (I'm messing around with piano chords on synthesizers now)
Please Annique, tell me some tips for practice better a chopin piece, you are the best pianist
I very much enjoyed this video. No I'm not skilled enough to tackle Chopin's Ballades haha but you are an inspiration and very talented. Thanks for sharing
Off topic but man I love your glasses
Learning ballade no. 1. But I also want to learn ballade no. 4. And I also love no.3. But 2's coda is amazing as well. I want to learn all of them but it will take me so long😭
Did you have a good concert in London ?
Yessss! Looking forward to go back to London soon again!
@@heartofthekeys It was a great concert! I was there in the front row, thrilled to know you'll be back soon!
practicing burgmuller op100
Don't forget the Barcarolle!
Good luck!
I learned ballade no. 3 and just started no. 2, but no. 2 is so much harder 😅
That's my impression, but I've only played the slow part of 2. The rest is intimidating!
Hope you visit Poland with the ballades!
I am also learning Ballade 4! I imagine I will have to spend much more time to learn it than you will.
Learning all the Ballades in six weeks is really difficult for anyone. I think Arrau learned the Prokofiev 3rd piano concerto in 2 weeks but I think he was practising 14 hours a day. I may have misremembered that, but that is what I remember
it's good to see that practice is painful for everyone and that i'm not just bad 😂
How did Chopin create so much quantity and quality in his short life filled with adversity and illness?
your piano is on an other spot...different room? Thanks for keeping to inspire me...and, I started the famous Adagio by Bach/Marcello...
i'm trying to learn chopin's nocturne op 48 no. 1 right now. starting with the doppio movimento section... it's so tough to bring out that upper voice
Hi Anique, I am learning the ballade no. 1, and it´s the first time I play Chopin, I was playing exclusively Bach in the previous semester but i realise how great Chopin is since i started to see your videos and perfomances. My favorite version of this ballade is the Pollini one. The only thing i can say is that it is extremely difficult and beautiful. I am really suprised, ¿how can you learn the four ballades in six weeks and play them like that, when i am working for 3 weeks on the first two pages op the first one?
Dio quanto è bella la ballata 4 invidio chi la sentirà per la prima volta
Learning the first ballade now! Any tips for the coda?
I enjoyed the video and I am not learning ballades at the moment
Pls do a youtube stream of practicing the ballades journey 🙏
❤🎹🎼
Who edits all this for you? You must be exhausted if you do it.

I've played 1, 3, and 4 at a not very high level😅.. I always hated number 2 for some reason hehe
I’m currently dying trying to learn the first ballade
I've tried to play Chopin's ballad number 1
Whats your favorite edition for Chopin? Ekier? Paderewski?
Right now, I'm practicing Chopin etude op 10 no 12. It s one of the pieces I have to play for my exam entrance on february 28th😵💫
Hi i am learning ballade nbr3 and i dont know why chopin wrote the upper notes of the chords on the left hand at 97 and 98 since it s so much easier to play with the right hand
Can someone explain?
I play them all with the left except for the A flat in 98. I think these notes were written in the same hand to show that they form a continuous inner voice line, but that's just a guess.
Hi anniquie❤❤❤greet me please😊
Hiiiii! :)
OMG, THANK YOU!❤❤❤😱
I'm learning the 1.Ballade in g minor....
Actually I’m just practicing the first ballade and It’s so hard to do that without any mistakes
Are there any interpretations of the Ballades you are listening to? Pollini, Michelangeli, and Zimmermann are my favourite for the four ballades.
Você mostra que o que parece fácil, na verdade é muito difícil e exige horas de treino
My vegetable love grows for you
Is this 2?
What is your favorite ballade?
Hi!you need more training in the day..after breakfast go out to walk or running..sure you 'll feel better to study👍.
Sorry for my english..i 'm italian..
Ciao ❤
4 ballades? Six weeks??
I am going to take two months to learn ONE Rach prelude. Two pages long (Op23#10). How on earth...?!??
They’re all doable, and you already manage one and two. However, 4 is ambitious….
Ugh, memorizing. The thing my teacher wants me to do :/
You play Tennis?! My Piano-Teacher is telling people this is a *no go* for pianist, as the grip and strong force you apply to the racket is contraproductive to developing the hand-skills neede for playing the piano! Is he wrong?
I am actually playing table tennis - that’s not as heavy for the hand and arm :)
When is feet Reveal?

🤩🏁🏁🏁🩹🚿🪒🎧🎤🎹It was great to meet you at the "workshop".
Feel free to go into even more detail by showing your memorization piece method.... Also because it seems different at first..... But I also can't see what's really going on inside your stressed brain.
I learn, among other things. Mr President, I would like to thank Mr Schubert for the moment when he is speaking on the basis of his own words or notes.😏🎹🎼🎵🎶🎤🎧🎵🎵🎵🔁🔁🔁🔁.............✔......🏁🏁🏁🩹🚿🪒🎧🎤🎹
