Two years later and I'm still re-viewing these helpful videos. I learn more by doing and it takes a while to be ready to (try to) understand what (the fuck) Matt is talking about.
As far as I know the Japanese self defense Force Pilots wash their own planes I watched the scrambled Drill a couple of Japanese pilots getting in at 4 and taking it up The plane looked like it rolled off the Assembly line 2 days ago
Matt, what does the black undercoat do to the insignia white versus say a grey or white primer? Does it increase the intensity of the white? Btw, thanks for this series it is frikking amazing work!
I have to disagree here. With clean schemes it's far more effective to pit a lighter primer beneath lighter colours and darker primer for darker colours. It'll save you paint and you don't have to put on as much layers wich will ultimately obscure your details.
You're get on with it section wasn't funny it was a waste of time. You yourself said at the beginning of the video that you just wanted to cut to the chase do it edited out don't try to be funny we're here to watch quick clips and to get to the point.
I personally like it when he uses a F bomb now and then. This is the best modeling channel out there. Keep up the great work.
Glad I stumbled on this video. I'm just about to start painting an A-4E and have an excess of black primer laying around.
"It doesn't matter all that much what you put underneath your paint". No kiddin'? Because it's primer? Gosh! Pure Genius!
