So I gather from this interview that he doesn't want to be a typical Pop Idol...doesn't want fans worshiping him or fantasizing over him, nor does he need to please his fans by compromising himself. He's sensabile and responsible, help fans relax and have a healthy mind set, and just wants be recognized as a skilled and mature signer, who is handsome but not "cute." He's a very good person with a big heart, but since he doesn't even want to say "I love you" to his fans, I'll keep calling him "cute." 😁

I'm a Zhou Shen fan in the US. Who is Sheng Mi? Amazing that he sang Upwards to the Moon so easily, impromptu, and acapella, like that.
Sheng Mi (生米, Shēng mǐ) is the nickname of Zhou Shen's fans. It takes the homophonic use of Shen's fans (深迷, Shēn mi) in Chinese.
