I'm still Here is a huge achievement, Torres did such an amazing job that even gringos are praising it!! she doesn't stand a change to win any other sadly but she's probably 5° tho
“Cintia over Fernanda Torres”, Why don't you guys gfy? You said you didn't even watch the movie and why are you judging Fernanda? Because she's Brazilian? She's as good an actress as any of these, if it's not better.
I watched I'm Still Here and Fernanda is amazing but they have a point, unfortunately the nominations aren't always about the performance as much as we want them to and we have to look at previous patterns of voting, precursors, the type of movie it is, so many factors and when you look at it that way without hopedicting then they are correct that it's a big possibility Fernanda doesn't get in. That's just the reality of it, it happens every year. I'm still sticking with my predictions and I'm saying its Mikey, Demi, Carla, Cynthia and Fernanda.
Fernanda Torres won Cannes when she was only 19, she is a real actress. Jolie was never a good actress, sure she can make the whole schmoozing, but talent won here! You guys will agree after watching "I'm still here", it makes Jolie's Callas a bad drag queen show.
Mind you that Fernanda Torres is Brazil’s second best actress in history (the best one is her mother, by the way). So calling her win a “chaotic choice” is CRAZY and disrespectful even for these two dumb idiots, especially if you didn’t watch the film.
Anora had 16 critics' wins as a film, and Mikey got 23 critics' wins as the lead actress. However, it ended up with nothing out of five categories, losing three major ones to three different films. Anora has been just a critics' darling since Cannes, and its bubble officially burst at the Globes. It doesn’t have any below-the-line categories either. It’s so done. Sean Baker has a distinct style, but he should probably stick to the indie film crowd where his work resonates best.
I have noticed a strange parallel between THE BRUTALIST and THE REVENANT. Assuming THE BRUTALIST fails to win Picture and Score, it will repeat THE REVENANT at the Oscars exactly (Director, Actor, and Cinematography). Interestingly, both movies won the exact same 3 Golden Globe categories (Drama Picture, Drama Actor, and Director).
Revenant however didnt win PGA and didnt do well at critics awards clmpared to Brutalist. Whereas I can see Brutalist pulling PGA off. Conclave and Anora are serious threats though. And Substance might actually surge too
@ I see resistance in awarding the top prize to THE BRUTALIST in the industry, which I think will impact PGA/Best Picture. I think it will win Director but lose Picture.
@@axr7149 We'll see, but if not brutalist im feeling Anora or Conclave. Tho, tbh im still confident Anora will do better in the future, but Conclave would be the one that seems like can win too, I just dont quite see it winning PGA. I think it takes the SAG likely
The Substance Winning Best Picture would bring me so much hope in humanity, Hollywood and cinema. It'd be the best thing ever. My other personal top choices would be Anora or Dune.
Erivo is a lock for Oscar nom. Angelina Jolie is now in the 5th slot. Erivo/Madison/Gascon/Demi are all locks. I think Fernanda Torres bumps Jolie out. Jolie didn’t make BAFTA long list, and didn’t win in a weak category here. Torres didn’t make long list but did win.
Furthermore, Emilia Perez is going to win Best Picture at the Oscar . And EP takes adapted scr . And as a result it's 5 Oscars in total: Picture, Adapted Scr, SuppActress, International, Song
Anora underperforming and The Brutalist killing it only tells me The Brutalist probably will win Best Picture. I'm just coping perhaps because I don't want another Crash/Green Book type win like Emilia Perez.
My question is if The Substance can win the Producers Guild and also get into Directors Guild… Its gonna make it to BAFTA for sure… It might win Critics Choice.. But at the moment im curious how well is it ACTUALLY received… And how well it does on a preferential ballot. Tahts my biggest question. Also, I have a feeling Brutalist is our winner… Mainly because Conclave can win but i think Conclave is a little less liked on average than Substance or Brutalist… Anora can still rebound at CCA though
C.C. might go for Anora, but if it misses SAG Ensemble and underperforms at BAFTA, their choice will look questionable. At the end of the day, they’re trying to predict the Oscars. Looking at the results of the Globes, Anora seems to be in 5th place. Last year, the beloved Past Lives, which received a ton of awards, also had 5 nominations at the Globes, won nothing, and only got 2 nominations at the Oscars. Similarly, Mat December won nothing and ended up with just a screenplay nod at the Oscars.
I don’t agree with the idea that Cynthia would beat Fernanda Torres. Fernanda is such a great actress that she became the youngest ever to win Best Actress in Venice Festival in 1986-Cynthia wasn’t even born yet. And when it comes to acting in films, I'm Still Here is a masterpiece.
I don’t even hate Emilia Pérez, it’s like a high 7/10 for me, but Anora, Wicked, The Substance, and A Real Pain were all on my top 10 of the year so I’m still pretty disappointed with its win in Comedy/Musical.
Thank you for calling out the intimacy coordinator debate as ridiculous. That fact people are trying to be offended FOR Mikey, who specifically chose not to have a coordinator, is wild. “But it’s for the people on the set too” just stop. Stop being more offended than the subjects at hand
I had a feeling Anora wouldn't do well at GG's last night! It wasn't Best Picture to me. Adrien Brody did a great job on The Brutalist. People are saying Demi Moore is the frontrunner but I'm NOT buying it yet.
The acting winners are locked(Brody,Moore and Saldaña will probably sweep)outside of maybe Kieran Culkin Director is locked Anora is done Wicked is nada Brutalist is the frontrunner And Emilia Perez is crazy strong if guilds go for that then it can win or somehow Sing Sing returns and that gets guild love
Fernanda Torres gives an acting masterclass in I'm Still Here.
I'm still Here is a huge achievement, Torres did such an amazing job that even gringos are praising it!! she doesn't stand a change to win any other sadly but she's probably 5° tho

I wouldn’t take them too seriously, they think Mikey Madison did a better performance than Demi Moore 😭

So happy that Demi won! Great video ya'll!
Thank you! I think she’s sweeping tbh
Thomas predicting The Substance to win best picture is the most important thing to happen on January 6th
you prefer mickey cos demi was a big star before you were even born.
9:17 agreed, unfortunately Anora being a lone screenplay win at the Oscars makes more sense than all the front runner stays it had for 7 months.

Fernanda Torres DESERVED THE AWARD, period.
And please, stop crying. 😘
Fernanda Torres ❤🇧🇷🏆
I think you should watch I’m Still Here Becker saying anything
I LOVE the new Globes. Demi, Sebastian and Flow were just fantastic winners.
Besides Emilia Perez, the globes were pretty inspired this year!
Fernannnndaaaa from Brazil.
Thank you for cheering for Fernanda Torres

I'm so happy Sebastian Stan won as romanian 💛🇷🇴
Hopefully he get nominated at the Oscars now

I’m still here premieres Jan 30th in America, might be coming around EU soon
Anora underperforming and The Brutalist killing it only tells me The Brutalist probably will win Best Picture. I'm just coping perhaps because I don't want another Crash/Green Book type win like Emilia Perez.
But it will
Emilia perez got 15 longlist mentions. Baftas love it 😂
I'm happy for Flow for its Golden Globe win. And I'm happy for The Substance for its Best Picture win at the Oscars.
the brutalist winning without editing would be weird but i legit cant give a good argument for anything else
honestly, the more i think about it the substance could very well get actress, screenplay and picture

Anora can still rebound at CCA though
What a insane ceremony. Also i dont know if i have to laugh or admire thomas´ theory of the substance
Brazilian Fernanda Torres won the award 🏆 for best actress in a drama film. managed to beat the renowned Hollywood actresses. This is Brazil 🇧🇷 bro
C.C. might go for Anora, but if it misses SAG Ensemble and underperforms at BAFTA, their choice will look questionable. At the end of the day, they’re trying to predict the Oscars.

The Substance is number 2 for picture behind The Brutalist in my opinion
Idk I can’t tell if Thomas is insane or brilliant for his The Substance theory 😭😭
@ I am considering putting it in at number 1. If it gets picture at any of the major precursors, I will not hesitate to predict it at the Oscar’s.
The voters just couldn’t stop singing the lyrical genius of “man to woman or woman to man” after watching EP
I don’t even hate Emilia Pérez, it’s like a high 7/10 for me, but Anora, Wicked, The Substance, and A Real Pain were all on my top 10 of the year so I’m still pretty disappointed with its win in Comedy/Musical.
Wicked is a 2 part movie - in a such competitive year they might just wait to nominate Erivo next year
great vid guys. i think oscar line up for BA will be:
torres, moore, jean-baptiste, mikey and karla sofia.
What did you think of the Golden Globes??
I’m so proud of myself for predicting Demi moore
I thought the actual show aspect was handled well.
Thank you for calling out the intimacy coordinator debate as ridiculous. That fact people are trying to be offended FOR Mikey, who specifically chose not to have a coordinator, is wild. “But it’s for the people on the set too” just stop. Stop being more offended than the subjects at hand
I just hope Coralie Fargeat could win something in Editing or Screenplay
I think The Brutalist is winning Best Picture
Anora is sinking fast.
Thomas cry whatever you want, Flow is the best
Demi Moore winning yup she’s taking the Oscar’s as for Zoe not convinced yet
I think we have four acting sweeps tbh
I had a feeling Anora wouldn't do well at GG's last night! It wasn't Best Picture to me. Adrien Brody did a great job on The Brutalist. People are saying Demi Moore is the frontrunner but I'm NOT buying it yet.
"slightly racist" LOL
Heheheh ✨️🇧🇷🙏😭
8:06 yeah this is just wrong. Margaret Qualley steals the screen time for like half the movie, whereas Mikey owns Anora from beginning to end
Emilia Perez will not win Critics Choice.
Do you enjoy being wrong? I do enjoy watching that.
I like chaos and things I like winning, honestly don’t care about whether I get a prediction right 😭😭
The acting winners are locked(Brody,Moore and Saldaña will probably sweep)outside of maybe Kieran Culkin
Director is locked
Anora is done
Wicked is nada
Brutalist is the frontrunner
And Emilia Perez is crazy strong if guilds go for that then it can win or somehow Sing Sing returns and that gets guild love
Def not reactionary
@keekersneakers3259 What do you mean by that?
@@Cinemadiction he /she think you overreact to the globes. but you are Anora is done
@@janekent190 I mean yeah it kinda of is, it's not getting guild love
I’m glad I found another Flow hater
…
Flow might win BAFTA but The Wild Robot is winning Critics Choice, Oscar and PGA
