Adam Cartwright (Pernell Roberts) did a Bonanza tv commercial in 1964 or 1965 for this car. Even as a kid, he made me love it even more.

I had a 73 coup, with a 350ci, 300HP, hurst 4 speed, loved it, but always wanted a 67 427 coup, there is nothing on the planet more iconic American than that

Hey Greg! I'm just wondering if you used to be a mechanic?

He never really was a mechanic professionally. Greg actually used to be a carpenter. He grew up around cars and he always treated them like they were his hobby. When 2008 hit his company was hit pretty hard and some friends of his who he had done work for started Vanguard and they offered him a job. He's been living his passion for cars ever since!

He ought to be stressing moreso the point that optioned as such, these cars are ALL exceedingly rare and special. It gets my goat the way everyone is always seemingly going crazy and making all kinds of noise about the 1967 427 tripower vettes. Meanwhile, when you take a look at the actual production numbers, it's much harder to come by a genuine 1965 L78 396/425 car. The values and market are even way out of whack if relative rarity is truly
supposed to warrant any significant premium the way we've always seen and heard preached. The engine used in these cars is completely different and was designed to be a serious top-tier competitor. A precursor to the legendary L88, and also sharing many parts and details with it. These cars are currently ridiculously, CRIMINALLY underrated and short-changed in recognition. Rich fools need to stop artificially inflating the value
of "flavor-of-the-season" models whenever they get into their little
pissing matches amongst eachother, and instead start looking at cars that should add to their collections on account of genuine scarcity and specialty. They publically make a big spectacle and show the world themselves spending 3 or 4 times more than what a car should be worth, just to outdo their buddies or rivals. And then when all the hype moves over to the next car, they can't even
sell the one they bought just a year prior for anything even near what they laid out. And it serves them all right too. The only sad part is how it makes the cars impossibly out of reach to the working man who may have a dream and lifelong appreciation to own one of their very own.
