watched once. watched again, half following along to be able to *learn* how it works. watched again while attempting to follow. listened in the background of attempting to do it alone. did it alone and added displacement/displacement control to the node group. thanks for being on the internet man. you've been a big help in learning this artform that's scared me for decades
for some reason in Blender 4.0.2 setting scale of the voroniod to 50 would result in a very small detail pattern, but just adjusting to 15 instead will make it similar to the video, thank you for the learning experience :)
you truly are the best!!!! I now will ONLY listen to you I know there are others but they just dont get it!! im watching this cos Im a beginner which you seem to understand beginners thank you
HOL-E SHITE, my man. That was a wild trip we just went on, but it was insanely helpful. I'm not sure if I truly understand everything, but a few more tutorials like this and I feel like I'll start to understand the node system.
Been learning a lot from your tutorials! I am mostly learning to make stuff for games. Would love some resources to follow on exporting objects with custom materials to use in games. Especially ones that have displacement materials that you might want reflected in an in game model that may only use a texture and normal map
Idk if its me but the voronoi texture doesn't display any more sliders like detail, roughness, and Lacunarit. idk if its the new version that im using that jsut removed these or something idk

You truly are a procedural material wizard.
thanks!

Was litereally just about to make a procedural metal and you saved me a few brain cells. Thanks!
Perfect timing!
Thank you. I'm starting to understand the idea after watching it 3 times. You are an amazing teacher.
today i just wanted some scratched material and watched your old version of this... 10 mins later this came out :D perfect timing
hope you like it!

that is probably because the size of your object is different then mine. thanks for your support!

You are a Pro. You have helped me a lot with my 3D Dreams. I want to thank you a bunch. Great Video.
glad you like my videos!
thanks for the explanation about customizable nodes and for the amazing proc material!!!
thank you for watching!
Very well done at explaining, and keeping it straight to the point. Could you make a carbon fiber texture?
thanks for the material idea!
May I ask you to make a tutorial on how to make a "painted metal" material for audio gear? (Like "LA2A compressor" or "1176 compressor" have)

Great tutorial! This is an awesome material! Nicely done!
thanks!
Another amazing piece of work.
thanks!
Wwwwow. I never worked with nodes before... and that was a whirlwind of... well... nodes. But I got it! Thanks to your instructions. Great video!
thanks for watching!
That's a very cool tutorial man, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
I accdentally found out the scratches look much better when you set the scale to -0,1
oh cool : )
Amazing 🤩🤩
thanks!

mine is like that too
it looks very good, thank u
glad you like it!
Do you mind making procedural material for smooth plastic. I want to try but not able to do it
thanks for the idea!
I am having an issue with the final scratches mask going into the scratches bump causing exceptionally long render times.
Man, stop flexing..
No no no no, sorry just kidding, just kidding...
Haha 🙂
I have a small question can we bake glass and make a texture from it.?
I think you can if you bake a transparency, or alpha, texture
Why do you add two voronoi texture
Like if i were to create my own material how should i know this
Why can't i add just one voronoi texture
Do you have lighting tutorials?
yes, I have a lighting for beginners tutorial that you could check out.
Oh thank you God for creating such a human being. I hope your toilet is always warm and your pillow is cold for the rest of your life.
thanks
Can procedural materials be baked for export to other software?
yes they can, and I have tutorials on how to texture bake procedural materials.
@@RyanKingArt Awesome, I'll look them up. Thanks for the amazing tutorials.

👍
why doesn't my voronoi texture has all those other parametres like detail, roughness, etc.
Make sure you are using the most up to date Blender version.
