This feels a lot like a creepypasta tbh, especially the fact that the eye colour is inconsistent (green? blue? purple?) and the blue eyes story definitely reads like one.
Its not really even that. Its a texture bug from when endermen were relatively new. Unfortunately you can't stop stupid people from thinking stupid things.
My theory is that if it is in fact real, it could have been a deliberate creation by the devs, which in my opinion explains why it 'evolved' as the game also received updates. It could have been a deliberate creation by the devs either for fun or to deliberately create a fun creepypasta for players to obsess over

The White enderman was confirmed to be actually in the game a few hours ago by a youtuber named ThatChiefGuy with pretty much 100% concrete solid evidence Although its most likely a bug and not meant to be in the game its still interesting how in the video the eyes on it were green but in the original clip they still had purple eyes
I think that the kids on his team tricked him. They could have easily removed the resource pack before telling him. And remember, the enderman was only white on THEIR screen, not his, it was normal for his.
@@evabermudez4503 bro it literally was on his screen, he said it might have not been real if he didn't find it himself and then the video ended with him finding it himself and showing it to his friends

It was clearly a skeleton you can see the ribcage texture. Also skeletons are able to lose their bow and pick up other items like zombies they can even steal your armour. 1: in the series 10 things you need to know about Minecraft, originally Enderman had green eyes, but was swiftly changed to purple to match the ender dragon 2: it’s probably just a rendering bug, and the blue eyed ”FaRlAnDeR” was just a straight up lie to fit in, besides it’s easy to say that you didn’t have a texture pack!

the white enderman is actually what endermen look like to other endermen. we know this because in spectator mode, if we die while through the eyes of a mob, we see how it does, and endermen are white with green eyes and white pixels to another enderman.
In the image that you stated as the best evidence you could find, which you stated was in Java 1.17, I noticed that the textures seem to be the ones before the 1.14 update. This could be due to the built-in resource pack you get when you originally get Java, but that's a bit interesting.
*A White Enderman also called Farlander is the complete opposite of the Classic enderman* He can't teleport is immune to water and spawns in Cold and snowy biomes. He makes the same damage and has the same health stats than the Enderman.
I seriously need to get a notebook to write down all of these lore theories for my fanfic story, but I have to say that this one would fit quite nicely in the storyline so thanks for your hard work!! It helps someone like me so much!!
I actually have a different idea for how the farlanders/white endermen came to be. So with what you said, about the ancient builders and such, they ran away at some point, they spilt off into three places. Some went into the Nether, others stayed to try and fight off this thing, and some went into the end. But we are talking about endermen so let’s see: When they reached the end they didn’t realize it was inhabited by another beast; the ender dragon. She was upset they entered her domain but the builders were like “nope! Our land now!” But that didn’t work when the ender dragon threw her breath onto them, causing them to be kind controlled. Just like you said, they all ate chorus fruit causing them to adapt and evolve. Well, one day the ender dragon wanted to expand her domain. So she sent groups of only a few endermen to go back to the overworld and take over. So they left into the portal, but something was off. The ender dragons magic wasn’t as strong in the overworld. This allowed the endermen to think somewhat clearly again and caused them to explore. Some however, stayed behind and built strongholds so they could return home. Those who explored ended up farther away from the stronghold, leaving the ended dragons magic weaker and weaker. Finally, they at some point reach the farlands and it was then when they could think again, and be themselves again. This also led to their eyes changing back into blues and greens. Eventually they evolved to have pale skin because of the air quality and such in the overworld being pure than the end. So that’s my take on the farlanders and endermen in general. I also like to think that ender pearls are their eyes because logically, you would look at where you would want to teleport and aim and *poof* teleported.
@@That_Nameless_Nurse I think so as well, and I also believe that the endermen are hostile to endermites because they are a parasite that latched on from walking through an alternate dimension via chorus fruit, and caused the builders to become ill and become controlled by the parasite. I think that it's their human subconscious wanting to get rid of the endermite because it's what made them sick, and I think that the piglins caused the endermen to become aggressive upon eye contact, because the piglins had to have killed the endermen to even gain access to ender pearls, and they would have looked the endermen dead in the eyes as they died, keeping their own eyes on their prize, which is then traded to the players for gold. I think that endermen becoming aggressive by eye contact is the parasite recognizing it as aggression and linking it to death, and it slays whoever looks the endermen in the eyes so it can keep its host, and itself, alive.
I think I had a interaction with a white enderman once, now whatever this thing was, it was entirely white, no eyes, no nose, no nothing. Just white. But. It had the body shape of a Steve figure. But I won’t get ahead of myself so soon. Here, I’ll tell you what I was doing first. I was having some fun in Minecraft, I thought it would be cool to got to a little lake right next to the ocean to make a little base for some guardians to live, (guardians are sea creatures in Minecraft). So I made the guardian base and then I got bored. So I went quite far from the guardian base and eventually I found this big underwater cave! I thought it was so cool so I went in it, after quite a while of swimming through it, (I was in creative mode) I found this cave where the water ended, it was still in the same cave too, and when I came off a water fall from the place where the water dropped to the cave, I saw an abandoned mineshaft! So I went to the mineshaft until I found a tunnel that lead to more of the mineshaft. I went in a then, from behind me. The gravel falls, blocking the exit. I knew I didn’t break any gravel near the entrance at all, I thought it was just a glitch and began to go down the mine, but something was telling me “destroy all the light NOW” so I did. I just thought it was all in my mind and I was just having fun with myself. So I went down this one end of the mineshaft and opened a chest in a minecart. I found some berries and dimoands, then I left the chest and when I turned around.. it was there.. I don’t know what it’s real name is but I called it “the demon” and also the whole time I was in the mine I felt like something was watching me.. can you wander what it was?? Please! I need to know! Edit:: I know I don’t have any evidence or screenshots, but please, I am horrified so please believe me!! I need to know what it is!!!! 🥺
I've seen something like this before. Basically, you know those errors that sometimes happen in Spongebob episodes? It happens when a specific character gets wrongly colured in some frames, and then end up airing on TV. Maybe that's the same with the Endermen. There could be a code coloring bug that picks the opposite color of the mob when it spawns(White is the opposite of Black), im not really sure about the eyes, but that's just my theory. It's rare because of how advanced Minecraft's coding is.
This story requires a *LOT* of suspension of disbelief, since bugs and glitches don't fit in the Minecraft lore, which was written with official features in mind. The production quality is pretty high though.
hey about white endermen i remember reading from somewhere probably the first of mojang's beginner's handbook or some minecraft magazine i bought a few years prior when i couldn't even get to play minecraft yet, something along the lines like the endermen were added in inspiration of the slenderman, and on some halloween and its skin is white just like slenderman. maybe there was like a announcement screenshot a for it. well i could just vaguely remember about it though so maybe you could search for halloween updates or skin packs or minecraft magazines about these facts. i never personally seen them.
It's good to have mobs with background stories and some sort of lore since it makes Minecraft more interesting, but, what if Mojang actually made a lore for specific mobs? That would be really cool to discover the story behind such creatures and events i really hope they would make adventure mode different like making u a detective or something finding the secret and lore
I had a theory with the deep dark, that fits well into normal minecraft theory's! Here it is. The theory was that when the ancient builders reached the nether, some of them stayed in the overworld, living deep in the caves, and eventually making the ancient city's,along with the warden. After a few months/year's,the builders in the nether made the Wither boss by mistake, and chasing them into the end, while as the builders under ground, wouldn't know. The Wither also wouldn't be able to reach them, as they are so far underground. More on in time, skulk starts to spread from a mistake in labs in the city, leaving everyone else to retreat. They had one last plan. To open the portal in the middle of the city. All of them made it through, except one. The warden breaks the portal before the last builder gets in, leaving him to starve in a nearby cave. Meanwhile the builders who DID making it through the portal..ended up far, FAR away from anywhere they have been. The farlands. They then slowly turn into the 'white endermen' ove the year's, leaving that theory, done. ^^
(And yes, the last builder in the main over world would have made the dungeons underground, as temporary homes, not knowing that nearby mobs would soon inhabit them.)
Ik everyone thinks this is fake but that is not necessarily true, it could be a inverted colors glitch, the invert color of purple is green and the invert of black is white so this might not be a myth. Ik this does not explain the walking on water tho.
Your lore explaination is beautiful indeed. It is very relieving to imagine them being a lost race just looking for a new home scattered across the overworld. Hovewer this just falls flat logically. It makes sense logically for ancient builders to become endermen, but not for them to become the farlanders. If you invert the colors of an enderman, it is the white greeneyed enderman. It is a bug. Why not fixed? So rare it is just a waste of time. As a programmer I would know it simply isn't worth it fixing this bug, as fixing bugs can cause more bugs in the first place. So rare it just isn't worth it. The bug is simply inversion of the enderman colors. Simple as that. The game probably reads the values incorrectly and spawns him that way. Also... no files in game to prove his existance. He. Doesn't. Exist.
Hey! So just wanted to say, I've seen one with my own eyes. My boyfriend was playing with me on his switch! We went to go fight the ender dragon, and poof! A white ender man appeared? I never heard of the myth when that happened. It disappeared right after. I don't know what happened, but me, my boyfriend, and his sister saw it.
As weird as this all is there is a grain of truth to it. I myself saw a white enderman in my first ever mc world. I didn’t even know what an angry enderman looked like back then so it was quite shocking to see an anger white one. I’ve never seen it again but I always held on to this memory. Tbh I thought I was alone in this experience
The white enderman can be seen scattered around a lesson template in education edition (named Adventures in English with Cambridge), then fully in front of you at the end. The basic plot is that you're the new assistant for a librarian named Lilac, and someone keeps stealing pages from books. She wants you to help. The white enderman is heavily implied to be Lilac's old assistant and to be behind the thefts. So yeah, I think that's where this glitch comes from. Especially when you consider that Mojang pas zero attention to education edition.
Theory: The "Catastrophic Event" Split Ancient Builders. Some escaped to The End, some to The Nether, some to Farlands and some stayed and tried to survived. the ones from Farlands evolved into White Endermen, with Normal Endermen's help.
After all this I’m still convinced that it’s all people clout chasing by maliciously using texture packs. All they have to do is do a little color swap and then say they found a super rare mob. The inconsistencies with the eye colors and structure all lead to people making the texture packs themselves. Sorry but no way the white enderman is real.
Yes your [probably] right there [most likely] is no White Endermen but it isn't about if it's real or not it's just for etretinate most people here don't think it's real but just like The Squatch spices The Loch Ness monster & the Mothman most people like them because it's still fun to believe. Also sorry if this message came off more angry then it was.
I remember having seen white Endermen in past versions of the game (long ago, like 1.4-1.6 or something like that), but I always thought it was just a bug. I still think it's just a bug!
I know this video is over two years old but i cant stop watching your content but that's besides the point i find it funny how game theory (before matpats retirement) came up with the exact same lore with slight tweaks stated in this video! (P.S I plan on watching all of your video's so keep up the good work.)

I think the white endermen are caused from a corrupted/incorrectly version swapped world that bugged the enderman's textures/shaders making him white. the different colored eyes are probably from the shaders corrupting in weird or different ways.
i think this is a normal enderman thats ai with water broke since purple inverted was green and it has green eyes and black inverted is white and games glitching can invert stuff
The theory that the ancient builders evolved into enderman is just that. Nothing more than a theory. There's no real canonical backstory to the enderman yet and is mostly left up to speculation.
After watching a few videos from different people, why the white enderman can walk on water is because normal endermen see water as lava in the overworld and see other normal enderman as white which means the white enderman see colors normally so for them, water is waster and is not harmful.
I love these little stories. But a lot of these Creepypastas and such could easily just remain stories rather than become rumors just by looking at the code

I confirm it to be the Farlander, Such as the White Enderman, with such a natural sighting, I clearly still see it's green eyes staring at PewDiePie, It does not have a bow too, and is also has the same 3 blocks height from its distance, but whatever you guys say, it is the Farlander
It was clearly a skeleton you can see the ribcage texture. Also skeletons are able to lose their bow and pick up other items like zombies they can even steal your armour. The best way to check if these "farlanders" really do exist is to check the files and code of minecraft and if nothing is there then its just another shit myth like herobrine
ITS A SKELE BOI
1: in the series 10 things you need to know about Minecraft, originally Enderman had green eyes, but was swiftly changed to purple to match the ender dragon

the white enderman is actually what endermen look like to other endermen. we know this because in spectator mode, if we die while through the eyes of a mob, we see how it does, and endermen are white with green eyes and white pixels to another enderman.
In the image that you stated as the best evidence you could find, which you stated was in Java 1.17, I noticed that the textures seem to be the ones before the 1.14 update. This could be due to the built-in resource pack you get when you originally get Java, but that's a bit interesting.
Becouse it's fake
But we are talking about endermen so let’s see:
When they reached the end they didn’t realize it was inhabited by another beast; the ender dragon.
I also like to think that ender pearls are their eyes because logically, you would look at where you would want to teleport and aim and *poof* teleported.
ender pearls are like their heart or inner core, similar to the pearls found in clams
this is way to long ;{ I'm not gonna read it can you say it simpler
@@krishc.8980 I will respect your theory. I just personally like to think it’s there eyes, but we all share different views!
How did it look
I've seen something like this before. Basically, you know those errors that sometimes happen in Spongebob episodes? It happens when a specific character gets wrongly colured in some frames, and then end up airing on TV. Maybe that's the same with the Endermen. There could be a code coloring bug that picks the opposite color of the mob when it spawns(White is the opposite of Black), im not really sure about the eyes, but that's just my theory. It's rare because of how advanced Minecraft's coding is.
the eyes are yellow

Those videos always brighten my day. So much work and SO underrated, keep up the good work!

That "real sounding account" is written like a blatant creepypasta
He. Doesn't. Exist.

He is the exact opposite of the normal enderman: that means, that you have to Look in his eyes to stay him calm

I think the white endermen are caused from a corrupted/incorrectly version swapped world that bugged the enderman's textures/shaders making him white. the different colored eyes are probably from the shaders corrupting in weird or different ways.
i think this is a normal enderman thats ai with water broke
since purple inverted was green and it has green eyes
and black inverted is white and games glitching can invert stuff
The theory that the ancient builders evolved into enderman is just that. Nothing more than a theory. There's no real canonical backstory to the enderman yet and is mostly left up to speculation.
After watching a few videos from different people, why the white enderman can walk on water is because normal endermen see water as lava in the overworld and see other normal enderman as white which means the white enderman see colors normally so for them, water is waster and is not harmful.
