Well, think about this: The conquest of Makkah was a HUGE event in the Muslim history, isn't it? We are told that here was allegedly a great idol, called Hubal in it (not mentioned in the Qur'an). There were also 360 other smaller idols, we are told. The Prophet (sws) allegedly smashed ALL of these idols himself on the day of victory. That information is from our Muslim history. My question is: Considering the EXTREME importance of this "idol smashing event", how come Allah did not mention this event in the Qur'an - not even an hint? After all, the Qur'an does mention Al-Laat, Manaat, and al-Uzzah in Sura 53, but He (swt) does not mention their destruction either by the Prophet. Note that the Qur'an cares to mention events of much smaller significance that demanded explanation because of their problematic nature, such as the cutting down of some fruit-bearing trees to force the enemy into surrender, but when the events of humongous nature happen, the Qur'an keeps mum! How come? How come it left out the mention of the smashing of hundreds of idols??? This question is an elephant in the room, isn't it?
What I am trying to say, is, that the thing we call "Islamic history" has vast gaping holes that need to desperately need our attention. This history is highly dubious and seems to have been written by macho-minded historians under the "Saudi Arabia-type" royal patronage. it needs to be re-evaluated and critiqued with brand new research by the qualified students and researchers of Islam (not by the Qur'an-illiterate MULLAHS like this sheikh, please!) and corrected for is gross incongruities with the Qur'an that have been rotting therein for centuries like stinking weeds. It's time to clean up the mess.
No prophet of Islam destroyed any idols according to the Qur'an - period! "Prophet Ibraheem (a.s) did it", you say. Well, go over that episode in the Qur'an again - this time a bit more carefully. Prophet Ibraheem did not destroy the idols because he wanted to annihilate SHIRK and establish TAWHEED. If that were the case, he would have broken ALL the idol in the temple and admit it in public with proud claims, but the fact is that he only broke the little ones and left the BIG ONE intact! Why? The reason is right there in the Qur'an: He wanted to make a point in front of everyone in the inquisition that the idols were useless and powerless, that they knew nothing and benefited no one. That's all he did. Breaking idols does not establish tawheed at all; only good logic and education does. That's point number 1.

Surah Al-Isra verse 81, clearly mentions the destruction of falsehood which includes paganism with its customs. Actually this is the verse the prophet SAW read while destroying the idols.
You cal an educated man "Qur'an-illiterate", you clearly are reflecting your own mind which have shifted from reality. You preach hatred, which side of our deen does this reflect? I do agree to be extremely critical and question everything but you are not questioning anything!
