One of particular note was the USC game when Elway threw this very long pass for a TD against Ronny Lott. I asked Elway at his celebrity golf tournament if he ever kidded Lott about that pass and he joked by saying "No, once he figured I could throw that far he was very hard to beat and he didn't want to antagonize someone who could hit that hard." Both men - great athletes with mutual respect.
My brother took me to the Stanford and Oregon football game in Palo Alto. Just a fantastic experience with the stadium and the band and the campus and tailgating. Great school and great football team.
