EXPLORING the WASHINGTON PACIFIC COAST with CONQUEST OVERLAND
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- Temps were well in to the 90s this weekend which left a lot of us Washingtonians looking for colder weather. Michael (Conquest Overland) and I decided to make a run to the coast in search for relief from the cooler temps. We found an awesome river spot to take a swim and an amazing beach side spot to call home for the night. We also had some amazing Overland meals and experiences along the way.

Epic video! You guys nailed this video I also saw the other side of this on conquest Overlands channel. Looks like a pretty epic trip!
It was an amazing trip!
Great video, nice spots, I did not know that it was possible to camp in ocean shores.
It’s not in ocean shores, but there are some beaches along the coast you can. Just gotta put in the searching hours. Thanks for watching!
@@OFFTHEGRIND any recommendation or page where to look for those beaches?
@@colekcionistaandreas9482 not trying to be a dick, but I would just drive the coast until you see a beach that doesn’t specifically call out no camping. I don’t want to share exact spots cause that can quickly burn a spot for other you know
I have the same crack in my windshield haha
Shit is annoying lol! I have to leave it at the shop for a full day because of the camera calibration so I haven’t found an opportunity yet
Looks like you were out in my neck of the woods. I’d recognize that fog anywhere!
Dude that fog was thick over the weekend! Not even a mile from the beach it cleared out completely. It was crazy
@@OFFTHEGRIND For sure. The front of my house faces the west and was blanketed in fog. The back was clear as could be. It’s been like that all week.
That's so trippy man!
Great video!
Always enjoy the Conquest N Grind collaboration.
Conquest N Grind haha! New Channel name?? Thanks man, glad you liked it
Amazing video! What beach is that?
Great minds think alike! We hit the peninsula that same weekend and found a great river-side dispersed site to cool off in and relax (can confirm, that glacial water is COLD). LOVE exploring the Olympic Peninsula. There's really nothing quite like it. Thanks for another great video. Love your cinematography. It's clear you put a LOT of thought and effort into your videos!
Thank you so much! I do really enjoy it and try my hardest to make it as entertaining and enjoyable to watch as possible. And yes, nothing quite like the OP for sure. Love exploring out there. Glad you were able to get out as well!
Great video!!! I enjoyed the sights and sounds of your experience. Was this on the Olympic peninsula? I'm from Lake Tapps and would love to explore more with my son, he just bought his first Tacoma
Thanks so much! Yes it is. There is so much to explore on the west coast and hoh rainforest. Definitely check it out when you can!
@@OFFTHEGRIND awesome thank you!!! I'll check it out
So epic. You exemplify kaizen with your video making. Pretty jealous of all the spots you went to.
Try hank you! Always trying to be better
Just moved down from Alaska. Would love to hit up some trails with you guys!
Awesome content! Can't wait to find those spots on the OP!
Nice crack in the windshield. I enjoy your videos, but can you include more Mammoth Trailer videos. I’m considering purchasing one and I can live and learn vicariously through you. Thanks, stay safe and God bless you and your family.
Yeah I really need to get that fixed. I’ve actually sold the mammoth though unfortunately, so no more videos with the mammoth
Your videos are inspiring and helpful. I am just starting my journey of finding peace and self, thru nature.
Do you share your destination points and fails? If not, can you do a video or two on how you go about finding your trails and spots? What tools or apps have you found helpful? What are things to keep in mind that help you stay motivated or safe?
Thank you again. I appreciate your commentary and sharing not just successes, but doubts and errors. It's human, which lends to credibility and authenticity.
Thank you so much for the incredible and positive feedback. I have been asked this question before and I have tried to make a video, but I think there are others that have just done a much better job covering everything. I might try to put something together again though. I will tell you that google map, google earth, and Gaia GPS are all very helpful. But the most valuable tool you can have is simply curiosity and the willingness to see where that takes you. The random roads that you explore and the uncertainty of what they lead to is the fun part!
No, I do not share my location. Since I do not know who may have access to those location, I don't want to burn a location by the wrong person getting coordinates, then trashing a spot.
Great vid again. Good to see you two out and about again. Ya, you have to be careful where you camp right now here too. Deer Flies are brutal so I've been going to places along Lake Superior for the breezes to keep them off. Thanks again!
Yeah absolutely. We both love river spots but this time of year it’s nearly impossible. Always a good time when Michael and I go out lol! Thanks man
Rivers still cold even with this hot weather, think I can tolerate bugs vs black bears roaming near campsite 😆
Well it’s snow melt and constant moving so it doesn’t get a chance to warm up
I saw you guys drive past the Humptulips store.
Ironically that was the first time out that way that we didn’t stop at that store lol. Definitely drive by though
Thank you again for your time making this video. It was great I love the waves. Dave S.
Thanks so much Dave!!
I wish I had more time off so I could take a trip up there! Maybe next year.
Definitely worth the trip if you can pull it off!
Excellent. Agree with Dave Wallace.
Thanks so much!
Wow the pics at 2:07.. AWesome
Thank you! Don’t get the chance too often but I love long exposure photography
Nice work. Not using the trailer for the coastal adventures?
I actually sold the trailer a couple weeks back
@@OFFTHEGRIND oh man, I’m bummed to hear that. Weren’t using it much? Will you do a video about it?
I was hoping to have a video about my last time out in it, but I wasn't able to get one last trip in it prior to the sale. And yes, I just wasn't using it enough for the whole family. Using it just for myself and the dog(s) didn't make sense.
I’m so jealous man! How much did you pay for the ikamper? Thinking about getting one
I got mine for just over $3k and it’s worth every penny. I absolutely love that text from
@@OFFTHEGRIND I might just have to go for it. Thinking about hitting the Oregon coast if I do
@@OFFTHEGRIND Do you suggest adding a leaf spring?
An Oregon coast trip would be amazing! Something that I definitely want to do some day. And I would suggest at least an add a leaf if you plan to add permanent weight to the back of the truck. Don't go progressive leaf, but a single add a leaf.
Wow you both did an outstanding job on this video you guys are putting in some fun and memorable parts in this videos and pictures great job to both of you
Thanks Brian! It was a really fun trip despite the endless dead ends. Gotta find the joy in all you do you know.
@@OFFTHEGRIND copy that I have my fair share of finding dead end roads or roads the end with the gate per absolutely no reason I’m still finding a lot of tree down on some of the road but that the fun of it
Yeah the gates really piss me off. It is really upsetting that closed down for what seems like no reason
